John 3:16 Yeah no shit , how bout the coaches teach him . They just wanted to hype up the other kid . So they put a scrawny dude against him . Lame ash .
Yep those kids are doing drills from the late 70, early 80s, while the tackle may be legal doing that drill is dangerous. That's how we used to weed out the weaklings. Well it also had a couple kids I know never play sports again because of neck injuries or just plain scared to hit. Horrible now that I look back in it. And we had good coaches who just didn't have the info at the time. Abusive
Dagan McCombs no there are differnt kind of drills and this so happans to be one where you start farther back and really its not because they need to be far away to simualte a game best as possible
Yea what collage you go to cause I bet you all sucked ass at football. So tackling 1v1 is not real game application?! Wow!!! I bet you was the kicker and afraid to get hit. Theres always one
What a nice lush field for these boys to be playing on. I remembered in my pop warner days in south Texas, we’d practice on a dirt lot and the only foliage we had were sticker burrs and weeds
From what I watched in this video, those kids were coached the correct, and safe, way to tackle. Getting young kids to stay focused on anything is a challenge in itself. So for the coaches getting them to stay focused enough to learn, and retain, what they're being coached is an accomplishment in itself. More importantly, they got the kids to apply everything they were coached. You don't see that very often anymore. them the correct way, apply what they were coached.
Great job to those coaches for teaching good, proper technique. Those boys will grow up tackling how it's supposed to be done, not like we see Sundays from "pros" haha.
thing thats weird about football is someone is always in trouble. if you get a block the defensive played gets chewed out but if u miss the block the offensive player gets chewed out. but in baseball you can have a hit in the gap where its no ones fault or some 16u pitcher clocks in at 88 with a curveball at 75 and you just have to tip your cap
it's actually one of the best drills to build confidence with hitting. and your gonna get hit almost if not every play in football. this teaches you to plow through the hits. the hit was way worse than it could have been because the kid with the ball did not lower his shoulder at all so it looked worse too.
@@mythickey5160 Nahh. Confidence in what? Hitting some kid that doesn't even have enough room to react to you? This just causes brain damage lmfao. You want a real drill then give the ball carrier enough space to do something other than running straight into a defender. 😂
These kids will run this drill every season, every year until they quit playing football. All levels run hitting drills. The rb needs to learn how to operate in tight spaces if he ever plans on running the ball up the middle of the field. He’ll learn how to get low and run through the line backer or he won’t be the rb.
Bro why are you yelling at them like if it high school football , your supposed to make them full in love with the sport not hate it. Im a football coach myself and ill won’t never hit my player helmet because there not dogs, or I’ll never tell them to go that low to hit other players , as a matter of fact YOU GUYS don’t look like a football coachS. That’s not football because there not having fun OR Supporting each other. You guys are making them hate each other and that’s not COOL.
He didn’t really go low he tackled with his head to the side and on the kids thighs however they need to teach the little kid to drop his shoulders or try and juke
The kid that is tackling has his head down & these coaches aren’t saying anything come on.....(crap coach) the kid could get seriously injured 🤕 stupid drill
Noticed how the defender got more coaching than the ball carrier. The ball carrier should’ve been taught how to protect himself and take on the tackler. Most people don’t know how to teach a kid to keep their shoulder pad level lower than the defender, and split half his body instead of trying to run over him square-up. Levels to the game.
I played football from the time I was a little kid but nowadays this just feels like watching grown adults congratulate 9 year olds on giving each other brain damage
This guy literally won a madden tournament at game stop and started coaching

You don’t need that many cones🤣 smh

Yeah because you rather go to one side or the other

yeah but to be fair those are all little kids so he might need more to give them a better visual where to go

Why he gas my man Isaiah up like that. Dude clearly didn’t wanna run the rock lol
You gotta get cracked and rocked every once and a while. If you want to give up after that than you don’t need to be playing football

Right. They set this kid up. They wanted to see him get blasted.
A hitting drill should never be this far apart, especially at this young age.
10 yards apart sounds right

Im 9 and we do drills like this

Ya this looks like a safety pursuit drill but obviously that kid isn’t a safety
Coach’s can set up the drills how they want😂
Isiah went off to play for the Cleveland Browns and won Super Bowl 99
These coaches definitely sucked when they played. Lol
Ahh my favorite part of practice, the CTE Drill
Yes these coaches don’t know what they’re doing...hope the kids don’t get injured and the coaches need to go to some accredited coaching programs.
Way to play fearless out there kid. Keep working that technique from angles.
