I’m a Newcastle fan, I enjoyed this for obvious reasons.
I’d say this about die hard footballs fans, we appreciate class wherever it’s found, a rival club, it doesn’t matter.
Tonali i would highlight in this moment because the lad has had a bad 2 years. Being sold by his boyhood club where his father still attends as a season ticket holder, battling addiction etc, he’s done well to battle through that type of situation. The next reason I want to highlight him is because of his personality, for example he isn’t on social media, he isn’t interested in any of that nonsense unlike your rashfords and Lingards. He is 100% focused on the game and he’s being recognised for it and rightfully so.
Ps hands of Bruno, we can match your wages and your ambition. We arnt a finished product at Newcastle but he is a very key part of our recipe for the final product.

Thank you for the gassing up! ⚪️⚫️
Bruno brings me so much joy as our captain man, not only is he our most important technical player but he’s also our “glue guy.” The passion that he has for the club, fans, and his teammates is contagious and heartwarming. I’ll never forget when Lewis Miley scored his first goal for Newcastle and Bruno sprinted over to celebrate with him damn near sobbing his eyes out because he was so excited for the kid. Every time one of our players posts on social media, Bruno is in their comments gassing them up. He runs his heart out every single minute and gets the fans so involved. True captain and leader for our club, and I hope he stays forever because he truly is a part of the toon family.
We had a rocky start to the season finding consistency, as Isak wasn’t getting service, Flash Gordon was struggling because of the emotional toll of transfer rumors, and our midfield wasn’t clicking. Now that tonali is starting over Longstaff and playing deeper with Bruno given more freedom to pitbull around, we’re finally firing on all cylinders and it looks scary. Can’t wait to see what 2025 brings

As a Newcastle fan back from the 80’s, hearing now what other teams are saying about us just amazing but also does not really compute. Don’t get me wrong, I am (as Kegan would say) Lovin it!
We have had our ups and mostly downs in the recent years, probably a lot of the fans only know and are still getting over the Ashley years but also hear about the 90’s and the entertainers. It’s like you get crap for most of your life and now someone comes around and just shows you what you could and should have. We are all a very loyal and dedicated fan base that ask for the team to put in 100% and we will back that person 100% which is why they don’t want to leave. Every time another club comes to the Toon they hear the Geordie Raw cause we will back them no matter what. This is why players love to play for the toon, it not just about the game for us, but about how they are loved and respected when we get a chance to meet them in the streets.
Toon fans are a lot more than just football.

Most neutrals don't know because you can't really tell from highlight reels, but it's the tiny subtleties in Bruno's play which really set him apart. Everybody knows he's good, but most don't realise how incredible he is.
Eddie Howe gets very little criticism from me, but if there's one thing, he's sometimes a little bit stubborn & won't change things. Since he began starting Tonali at 6 (another class act, by the way) and pushing Bruno up the pitch a bit more, now his brilliance is helping to get us goals, where before his brilliance was in stopping the opposition.
As he & Tonali develop their partnership they switch positions during games which gives opponents another problem.
Also have to shout out Lewis Hall at LB. He is the best LB in the league at the minute. He's tightened up a lot defensively, but was always classy on the ball with the ability to beat players as well as pick out a great pass, or put crosses in with quality. He's also building a great understanding with Joelinton & Gordon.
Once we get Botman back & match fit at LCB, that left side is as good as any in the league.
Schar is incredible for a 3.5million signing, but getting on a bit now so you're right, long term cover & replacement is needed there as well as a top class right winger. Murphy is OK but he's not world class.
Aside from that we just need to add more depth. But as fans we know this is not a 2 year project. Howe is under no pressure whatsoever. He's already shown he's the perfect fit for us. He wants to make his name as a top manager, just as we want to make our name as a top team. It's a match made in heaven.
Surely the long painful wait for a trophy will end soon...

    • @andrewtoop4764
      @andrewtoop4764 23 дня назад +2

End of the second half, when Livremento loses the ball and Bruno runs back to the corner flag, disposeses the player, takes it past another and single handedly pushes Man U back to the half way line, then celebrates that as hard as scoring a goal. That's the bits that dont get onto the highlight reels, but epitomize the hard work he puts in on every blade of grass and how much it means to him to help and push the entire team.

Tonali and Bruno have clicked as a pair and both are much fitter than start of season. Kind of all happened in last month or so. Where we were getting killed in on break last season as no legs in MF tonali is now everywhere nicking it back in a way Bruno couldn’t.
They have also developed that sit and go telepathy and interchangeability that Bruno and longstaff had in our top4 season. It’s only recently happened but it’s changed everything. First few games of Bruno playing 8 he looked lost. He’d also got into a habit last 6-12 months of forcing things and losing possession as the midfield and surrounding players were static and lethargic. It looks like he mentally freed himself of the pressure of having to instigate everything (maybe becoming captain didn’t help here initially) and in accepting a lesser or shared role re building attacks it’s made everything so much more effective and fluid. We finally look like that 2023 Newcastle team that suffocates the opposition and can blow anyone away in those 15-30 minute spells of dominance. Exciting thing is the 2025 midfield 3 are much better and the potential of the team is higher. Hopefully we can keep it up as I absolutely love how we play when it all clicks like at OT and it was so delicious to embarrass them like that.
I think you’re right on the signings. RW of the quality of the other forwards (I’d like kudus too, mbuemo maybe, don’t think we can afford either), a ball playing GK, a quick cb or two and we’d be cooking.

This has been a weird season for us (NUFC). We started not playing well but picking up points, then we had a spell of not picking up points but playing well, now we're 5 wins on the spin, with 16 scored and only one conceded. We've picked up points against the "big boys" all season, beating Arsenal, Villa, Spurs, Man U and Forest, and drawing with Man City and Liverpool. But we've lost games we were expected to win, hence our league position. I think you're dead right that the players have struggled with the transition from prey to predator and, i hate to say it, shown a bit of arrogance towards teams that they've deemed inferior, and paid the price. Thankfully, Eddie Howe seems to have smacked that out of them. I wouldn't swap our midfield, Gordon or Isak for any in the league. We have Botman to come back from his injury too. And, in the young lads Hall and Livramento i reckon we might have England's fullbacks for the next ten years. After a decade and a half of Mike Ashley, us NUFC fans just don't know what to make of this 🤣

Since Tonali was shifted to the central No.6 position team performances started to improve, Tonali is now up to speed and this has basically been the key to unlocking the midfield trio potential. • @horizonslifecoaching324

Why did Newcastle struggle in the early part of the season? I think the number one reason was the squad was deeply unsettled by the transfer talk. Because of FFP, the club thought they might have to sell one of Gordon, Isak or Bruno. All three seem to lose confidence in the club's future and their performances all suffered. Over time, Howe has slowly settled then down and got them to believe in each other and in the club again. And then Tonali's suspension ended and it took him a month or so to get up his fitness levels. After he did, he was given the deep lying midfield position that Bruno used to have allowing Bruno to be a lot more creative going forward. Together with Joelinton they are now exceptional together and we have not looked back since they began to play as a unit.

PSR is stopping us, not the manager. It pisses me off that the club aren't going all out to get sponsors in. Need your APT final judgements to come out to reverse the rules, hopefully you win your case too, because that would throw the PL into disarray and hopefully get rid of Masters.
Our team is top class. Once Botman comes back that will massively help our defence. We need a RW, a Schar replacement RCB, a 2nd striker, a new RB if Tripps goes and a GK. Extra squad depth to compete in Europe too but certainly those positions are priority. But do we have the money to get them, that's the issue.
We absolutely do not want to sell any of our top players and if we get Europe I don't see any of them wanting to go, the bond these players have, the unity is incredible and they all absolutely love the club.
If City could help us out with some loans that would be great 😉

Nice to hear us get some plaudits, unlike other news sources where they just focus on how bad the opposition has been. I just think we've been too inconsistent this season, getting beat 2-0 to West Ham at home is a great example of a game we should be winning if we want to get into the top 4. Your totally right about teams sitting back against us, that's probably another flaw we have the at the minute where we can't break those types of teams down.

We didn’t click first 10 games of the season . Tonali was banned for the first 3 games of the season and Gordon took a while to get back into form after the euros , isak has an injury and was missing for a few games as well with Wilson missing and who we lost in minteh and Anderson so there was a lot of uncertainty around the club and we looked nervous, Nick popes keeping wasn’t the same as usual either so a lot of factors

  • @andrewtoop4764
    @andrewtoop4764 23 дня назад +1

Not in the top 4 because Gordon, Bruno and Joelinton didn't have a pre-season and Tonali was still banned for first month and a half of the season. If this midfield engine was firing on all cylinders since the start of the season we might have been fighting for it. What I love is that this is a Newcastle side that has creativity all the way through, but unlike seasons past, where our flair players would try to avoid harming the grass too much when getting back to defend, this team attack and defend as a unit.

Am sure we toon fans would relish having Haaland playing for us but realise it is a pipe dream….the old Newcastle under Ashley would definitely have Bruno leaving for a large bag of cash but hopefully those stupid days are just a horrible memory. Bruno is settled on Tyneside as far as I can see and is our captain and not pushing to leave. Remember we are not the poor relation to the so called big 6 now as we were once upon time….we are building a team and the next part is to build a bigger stadium to be envied…we are after all owned by PIF and the Reuben brothers so capital isn’t a problem going forward. City have been the blueprint for what the Newcastle fans want…attractive attacking football with success at the end result.

Newcastle fan here . Our problem seems to be we are better against better teams. Hopefully we have returned to our free scoring play which is amazing to watch. On players we have some others pivotal to the future - you haven't mentioned our best CH Sven Botman who has been injured all season and is due to come back.Plus we have a brilliant defender in 20 year old Lewis Hall. and Livramento, Goalkeeper is a bit tricky and perhaps another CH to replace Schah who is aging and a right winger. It was sad because we had to sell Minteh before he even played for us because of FFP. He was the RW we needed. Plus losing Anderson was hard too - another awesome player [now doing well for Forest] we lost because of the FFP rules.

  • @dominicharvey1590

We are not in the top four as we simply had an inconsistent start. The players had a heart to heart and simply went on and did what Eddie has been asking them to do. Also keep an eye on Lewis Hall, best left back in the premier league. Tino on the right is also coming through.

They have a beautiful midfield. I'm still convinced that we could get Bruno if we paid the price Newcastle wants for him. He is happy there, but they need the money and honestly, Bruno is reaching an age where that if he wants this big move, then it's about time.

Top guy thank you for praising from a nufc fan, what annoys me we have no consistency, we show up against the big teams and lose to the teams below, Brighton and West Ham were strange games I think it was only Chelsea we lost to in the league out of the big 6, I'd hate to see Bruno G leave he's our engine, we need rid of the deadwood we still have Mike Ashley signings and there lyes our problem, Longstaff,Almiron,Dubravka,Wilson,J Murphy,Krafth and Lascelles takeover signings ,Pope,Kelly,Targett they aren't good enough for title contenders, we also need Lewis and Hayden off the books they have been great to build us to the next level, we don't need to sell the damage was done when we sold Minteh and Anderson for £80 million and only paid £15 million for Osula and I dunno if it was £30 million for Lewis Hall but we had strong table finishes, champions league money, Adidas sponsorships so I'm confused why we need to sell star assets we aren't a selling club anymore we are a development club
