On the surface, the third story tells of humans killing giant turtles that constantly bestow their wealth on them because of their greed for wealth. But the final outcome reveals a deeper meaning of this story. The old turtle is Huangmei's reincarnation, who deliberately lured humans with wealth to make them obtain without effort in order to prove that human nature is greedy and cannot be changed for good through Buddhist teachings. From the very beginning, he deliberately adopted means to stimulate people's inner greed in order to prove his theory was correct. It is similar to the story of shooting an arrow first and then drawing a target. So this story is not about human greed like the first one, but about Huangmei's obsession. He did everything he could to prove himself right to Jinchanzi, which corresponds to the Buddhist concept of obsession as one of the three poisons.(The first story corresponds to greed, and the second story corresponds to anger) In detail, you can see that when the person who took a knife to hurt the old turtle made his first move, his collar was pulled forward. At the same time, the eyes of the old turtle glowed, suggesting that he was casting a spell and manipulating the first person to harm himself in order to lure others into action.Meanwhile, in the subsequent scene where he falls dead, if you reverse the camera and look at it, you can see that his mouth is tilted up when he dies, smiling because he firmly believes that he has won again.
Really good breakdown my brother. Brought back memories of me learning about Buddhism and the 3 poisons in Religious studies lessons back in the day. Intresting stuff
This game is truly a masterpiece, not only does the graphic display look good, the game is good, but each ending chapter has a deep meaning. Like chapter 1 about greedy, chapter 2 about prejudice, chapter 3 evil intentions, chapter 4 about love.

Zhu baijie's ending is so beautiful and sad at the same time. We rarely see cut scene in the game evokes such emotion. Every cut scene has a very deep philosophy behind it.

★ This is the story of what happened at the end of chapter 1: • It is said that long, long ago, a young novice monk wandered deep into the forest and unexpectedly encountered a colossal Black Bear Guai. Yet, contrary to expectations, the bear did not devour the monk but instead gifted him a sack filled with gold and silver. The bear then guided the novice to a secluded temple at the foot of the mountain. • From a young child, the novice diligently cultivated his practice and eventually became the revered abbot, leading hundreds of monks. He developed a profound passion for collecting kasayas (Buddhist robes), accumulating and wearing countless robes until he believed no other could possibly pique his interest. • One day, the abbot met Tang Sanzang, the master of Sun Wukong. Enchanted by Tang Sanzang's exquisite kasaya, the abbot borrowed it. Influenced by the cunning schemes of Guangzhi and Guangmou to steal the kasaya and burn Tang Sanzang's quarters, the abbot's long-dormant desires resurfaced. Consumed by greed, he set fire to the temple, causing the deaths of countless monks. The precious kasaya, however, fell into the hands of Black Bear Guai. Overwhelmed by grief and remorse, the abbot struck his head against a wall, ending his life. • Despite years of cultivation under the guidance of the Bodhisattva Guan Yin, Black Bear Guai remained perplexed. Why had the young novice resisted the allure of wealth yet succumbed to the temptation of a mere kasaya? • The Bodhisattva Guan Yin smiled and replied, "Without that kasaya, how could sentient beings discern whether their attachments and desires to the mundane world had truly been severed? - Because he was protected by Sun Wukong, Tang Sanzang slept soundly until morning, only to awaken and find the entire temple reduced to ashes. ---------------------------------------------------- ★ This is the story of what happened at the end of chapter 4: • Tian Peng Yuan Shuai, deeply enamored with Chang'e, had relentlessly pursued her. While chasing after Chang'e, he inadvertently collided with a celestial maiden named Zi Zhu Ni. At that very moment, she fell profoundly in love with him at first sight. On one occasion, while spying on Chang'e, he discovered her engaging in a clandestine affair with someone. Upon being caught, he was banished to the mortal realm and transformed into a swine. • In the mortal realm, Tian Peng Yuan Shuai encountered the young miss of Gao Lao Village. They wed and he found great contentment in his mortal life. However, this happiness was short-lived as his true form as Bajie was revealed. • Zi Zhu Ni voluntarily descended to the mortal realm, transforming into a venomous spider. Upon reuniting with Ba Jie, they shared a passionate love affair for a time until Bajie departed to accompany Tang Sanzang on his pilgrimage to the West. Even after five hundred years, as an aged woman, she continued to await his return. - Afraid that the Heavenly Court would kill Zi Zhu Ni (now a giant spider demon), he refused to accept Zi Zhu Ni and the child and turned away. + Even the mighty Sun Wukong was defeated by the Heavenly Court. + Even the mighty Bull Demon King couldn't save his family from falling apart. - What could Zhu Bajie do? ---------------------------------------------------- ★ This is the story of what happened at the end of chapter 5: • The scene takes place immediately after the first battle with Yang Jian in the game. Yang Jian begins to distribute Wukong's six senses to his subordinates. The Bull Demon King receives the physical body. At this moment, Wukong remarks that his brother has always made wrong choices in his life. The Bull Demon King then recalls the time when he followed Sun Wukong in resisting the imperial court. - This is the first mistake: • Subsequent to his great upheaval in the Heavenly Palace, Wukong was incarcerated beneath the Five Elements Mountain. As for the Bull Demon King, his consort was coerced by the celestial authorities to imbibe the river's waters, resulting in the birth of the Red Boy. Upon learning of this, he desired to disown his offspring. Yet, the Red Boy harbored affection for his father until witnessing his father's cowardice. • Subsequently, in compliance with the celestial decree, the entire family assumed the roles of trials and tribulations, obstructing the pilgrimage of the Sage and his disciples. - This is the second mistake. • As a result, the brothers were beaten by Sun Wukong. The son became a Divine Child of Great Talent and followed Guan Yin Bodhisattva. The first wife lost the Three-Burning Fan. The second wife was killed by Zhu Bajie. • Excessive losses provoked the Bull Demon King into a frenzy, forcing the Heavenly Court to dispatch Li Jing, Nezha, and the Four Heavenly Kings to suppress him. Ultimately, he was slain by Nezha... Yet, in truth, the Bull Demon King had not perished. • Having successfully retrieved the sacred scriptures, the Monkey King ascended to Buddhahood. However, he soon realized that he remained bound by the Heavenly Court, as the golden headband continued to adorn his head. Thus, he once more rose up in defiance against the celestial realm. • Ironically, the Bull Demon King, once a sworn brother to the Monkey King, now aligns himself with the Heavenly Court to pursue his former comrade. - This is the third mistake: • Before vanishing, the Great Sage Equaling Heaven declared, "Despite any meritorious deeds or exalted station, the Celestial Realm would inevitably persecute demons of our kind, myself and the Bull Demon King included." • He further advised to stay away from the six sense organs that the Sun Wukong had left behind, as they would bring misfortune in the future. • Since that fateful parting, the Bull Demon King has borne the burden of a fragment of the Monkey King's six sense organs, self-imposed in solitary confinement for countless years. Despite relentless demands, including those from the Red Boy, he steadfastly refused to relinquish it. This enduring captivity was finally broken upon meeting the player.
Yeah... it's too bad the CCP decided to destroy Chinese culture, traditions, and art. China is no longer China. It is now communist China, and it makes me sad. China used to be so beautiful. Their culture, so rich... "great leap forward" ... right... You will find the real China in Chinatowns across the world. Chinese people that escaped the CCP, and brought their beautiful culture with them, before it was destroyed in the 1960s...
@@I_am_a_cat_ that's a CIA narrative, China is huge, the CCP did cause alot of suffering and disturbance, but people carry the culture, the government can't erase that. There are alot of villages in china where ppl are living the same as they were 500 years ago . Chinatowns are mostly cantonese, China is huge and the culture and even language and food varies from region to region, chinatown / taiwan, etc.. is only a small slice of traditional chinese culture. Actually, they are more western influenced chinese culture since these are places that had centuries of foreign occupation/trade
Let me put it simple: Monkey and Bull togheter strong, Unga Bunga Heaven Kid with sick flaming wheels who hates dad,not interested until told his dad will die first Buddha puts mountain shaped like palm on Monke for 800 years.
Even though Bull betrayed Wukong... Monkey knew... still cared for him and wanted to protect the Bull King and wished the best for his family too. The shame Bull must have felt for the rest of his life.
Because Zhu Bajie accidentally saw the secret of a high-ranking official's affair, he was cursed to lose his status as a god and become an ordinary person. The curse given by the god was very vicious. Whenever he fell in love with someone, he would have bad luck. Eventually he turns into a pig. Poor Zhu Bajie didn't know that every time he fell in love, he would be heartbroken and finally die. The curse caused him countless heartaches. Then he will die and end up in hell, as a ghost, who will recall everything about this tragedy. Then he forgot everything, was born again as a human, and experienced all the pain again.
@@ennyk5394 The original is the ancient masterpiece "Journey to the West." However, this game borrows from multiple modern adaptations from books and movies to TV series, or you may call them the "fanfic" of the original one. 😂
1. Chapter 1 animation gave us a flashback of incident in Journey to the West. And how the Temple got burned in the first place. It also shows how Elder Jinchi who were once a great Buddhist Monk and easily got blinded by a simple kasaya that turned him very greedy and obsessed with it. In the end he, Guangzhi, and Guangmou perish in the fire. 2. Chapter 2 has no connection with the Chapter itself, but we can find the guy who killed the Fox afterwards. The message of the Chapter 2 refers to how Wukong can never be accepted as Higher Being despite has reach a Buddhahood. It also refers how Good and Evil is two side of the same coin, and can never be disturbed one another, as every law of the nature has it's own path andcame fromanother roots. 3. Chapter 3 animation foretold Yellowbrow Past as a Turtle/Huangmei who wants to prove to Tang Sanzang/Jinchanze that his teaching was righ, by showing richness toward a poor village. However, Jinchanze denied such Violent teaching as Huangmei just try to make it like he's word were right all along by showing Humans true nature through their Greed. 4. Chapter 4 animation told a tragic story of Zhu Bajie and The Lady/Chang'e pasts. How Bajie were once a warlord of heaven thatfall inlove with the Moon Goddess, before getting caught seeing her in an affair with The Jade Emperor. As punishment, Bajie was cursed into a Pig and was forever accepted and rejected in his life for 1000 times and could never found true love. Until the Lady/Violet Spider came to him and accept him no matter what he is. 5. Chapter 5 animation show the aftermath of the battle between Wukong and Erlang Shen. It also show how the relics was separated in the first place. Turns out Erlang separate Wukong Essence into Six Relics and gave it to those who participate in this Subjugation. Heifeng Guai keep the Eyes, Yellow Wind Sage keep the Ears, Yellowbrow keep the Nose, Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master keep the Tongue, The Bull King keep the Body, and Erlang keep the Mind for himself. At the end, Wukong state to the Bull King, that no matter what he do or done, the Court would always view him as nothing more than a Yaoguai who always wreacking a havoc. 6. Chapter 6 animation can only be unlocked once we have finished it in the true ending. It shows Sun Wukong Past from Journey to the West until the moment when he attempted to rebelled against the Celestial Court.
Chapter 1 actually tells a story about Jinchi which reveals a philosophical debate about the confront of showing one with no need of luxuries has to have a lot of luxuries to prove the no-needs. quoting 'Bereft of that kasaya, how shall they show the world their ties are cut, and their lust is quelled?' Chapter 2 is a separate story stating that the good and bad will is just a moment of truth. A simple dream can make a man kill, just like the Chapter 2's game story. The village killed the ill boy in a group together. Chapter 3 tells a story that how Huangmei tests human nature. Huangmei believes humans are born evil while Jinchanzi believes the contrary. Chapter 4 is a sad but beautiful story about Bajie and the purple lady (once fairy but later Spider). I don't understand Chapter 5, sorry.
@@zerosum128 Chapter 5 tells the aftermath of the Battle between Wukong and Erlang. It also explain how the relics was separate din the first place. Turns out Wukong doesn't separate his essence into Six Relics. But Erlang the one who separate Wukong into Six Relics and was given as a token for those who participate on the subdue.
It took me a lot to realize, but the last animation is told backwards, from the last to the beginning. I mean the order in reverse would be: > When he decided to invade the heavenly court >When the war started (he was stronger than everyone) >The court asked Buddha for help and Buddha challenged him and he won, and pissed on the pillars that were Buddha's fingers. > when he was freed by the pilgrim and began the journey to the west > when the pregrin tricked him and made wukong put on the crown to control him > when wild boar challenged what would be the 3rd member. >when they fought a thousand battles >when they returned with the writings >when he obtained the title of bhuda victorious fighter >when he challenged the court again (they had committed genocide with his people)
Why did the court kill his people? Was it because Wukong had managed to ensure immortality for them and the celestials saw them as just animals? Also, is Wukong the father of Red Boy? And if yes, why were the wife and the bull king entangled into this by the celestials? And who is that baby Buddha? He is too cute! If you happen to know an answer I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance and have a great weekend!

Indeed, game is based off a ancient Chinese novel Journey to the west written in the 1600s and inspired many anime and film series. A must read in my opinion, I feel bad for the westerners who never read it and also envy they get to experience it the first time!
Not exactly. As a native Chinese player, I even can't quite understand the whole story of the game. This is because it is a completely new story happened after the novel Journey to the West. Many NPC or boss in the game are quite different from the traditional masterpiece. So there are many hidden clues in the game, and we are still exploring the secrets behind the superficial plot. Anyway, let's enjoy it together
You all seem to have overlooked the woman at 3:41, the only female Buddha in Journey to the West. Her name is Guanyin, the woman who puts a tight spell on the monkey.
This game truly was a master piece this year, the animations, the story, the characters amazing…zhu Baije’s was my favorite anime and honestly character.
I didn't come here to watch the video, because I don't want to spoil myself, but I'm here to say thank you for actually highlighting these animations. They threw me for a loop
It's really sad to see some streamers not getting the context of the animations and just brushing it off with simple comments like "It's beautiful and art style and all...".

No, if you didn't get this ending then you finished the game with bad ending. When you finish the game, you get 5 out of 6 relics, the 6th relic is his memories. Those who complete all the secret missions get this ending with the 6th relic coming to you as his memories with this end clip of the entire journey to the west running backwords. You finished with only 5 relics and you must have still seen the monkey trapped in the stone. When you finish it with all the 6 relics, you completely become Sun Wukong himself, without the painful crown ofcourse.
I like to think that the last cutscene connects the Destined one, like it plays what happened in reverse. So when Sun Wukong walks out of his waterfall cave to fight the Celestial Court, the Destined one is leading the fight on his place. In a way, Sun Wukong’s journey is over, but as Er Lang said, “Your journey though, has just begun.”
Only those who have studied the literary works and film genres of Journey to the West can understand the game's plot and the lessons and hidden meanings the game wants to mention.

Ch 1 - 4 was somewhat true to the original lore until Ch 5 and 6. Ch 5 ending was very good and tied very well to the original lore until the "multiverse moment happened" which has me mind F@cked. The fact that he held a serious injured Wukong in his arm after the battle between him and the heavenly court was a complete made up story. The original ver Wu kong was captured by Erlang Shen "The 3 eyes dude" and a Daoist who used his binding circle to tied down Wu Kong. beside from that everything else in the ending cinematic for Ch 5 was spot on. Chapter 6 ending cinematic was good but the order of all the events are all over the place. To those who have no knowledge of JTTW that would confuse them greatly.
@@sleekgoalie5600 It's only complex if you have no knowledge when it come to JTTW. The whole story is about the distrust of The Heavenly court Toward Wukong and fear of his kind "Monster/ Guai" for he cannot sever his tie to mortality. Each chapter represent a relic that fit the boss personality/ Wu Kong himself before he was enlightened.
@@ducnguyen1999 Suan Zhang got reincarnated yes, not Wu Kong. this game is a continuation of what happened after JTTW "It's a made up story for the game" so it has nothing to do with Suan Zhang.
There's not multiverse moment, what seemed to be a divergent from the books are just the events that transpired after the book. Wukong fought against the celestial court a second time and "died" in the beginning of the game remember? It is a made up story but it's a made up story that took place after the book, nothing is overlapped or changed.
I swear if China pushes their animation industry, it’ll be as big or even bigger than anime. Most animes are outsourced to Chinese studios. Just needs that catalyst, and Chinese donghua will have the potential to be the anime of Gen Alpha as Japanese anime was to Gen Z/millenials
@@ennyk5394 The characters in this game and its animation are all based on a centuries-old Chinese mythological novel, Journey to the West. The game begins with the ending of Journey to the West, and its content serves as a continuation of the novel. It also provides interpretations and extensions of the original story. The bond between Wukong and the Bull Demon King is one of the main focuses, expanding on this aspect, which wasn’t portrayed as emotionally in the original novel.

Understanding the Chinese mythology system reveals many hints and surprises. Sun Wukong is a heroic figure not only in China but throughout Southeast Asia. Additionally, Chinese idioms are often difficult to fully understand through translation alone. It’s time for everyone to learn Chinese!
Maybe that’s the problem. He doesn’t fit to be a supporting character (even though it’s a major one but still..) he is too cool and charismatic and has his own fanbase even until now. He has this main protagonist vibe, making him a major support will just clash with Wukong’s charisma, viewers will split into either supporting wukong or nezha, while this game was created to focus on Wukong. I hope a developer or this developer next project will focus on a game about Nezha, that would be cool
Can anyone explain the greedy (White Snow, Ice Cold) story? Is it something in the original Journey to the West? That chapter got me questioning humanity fr
I think it's a story about ego and pride. The yellowbrow boss boasted himself, proclaimed himself to be a Buddha (in fact he isn't). He boasted his might by capturing WuKong in a hat or gong (I don't really remember) but in the end it was WuKong victory.
So the original lore it a bit different from the game lore. Yellow Brown in the game is an egotistical character who always think that he has achieved enlightening and posed as a Buddha because he saw the darkness in humanity. He love to bring out the darkness in humanity and pass judgement upon on other but never sought to help/ redeem them and Buddhism is actually the opposite of what he was doing.

“Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.” Buddha ( Enlightened One )☸️❤
The love story between Zhu Bajie and Spider Spirit is not a classic. The most classic story of human demon love is the White Snake Legend - the love story between Xu Xian and White Snake, which takes place near West Lake and Leifeng Pagoda in Hangzhou (a real scenic spot)
It is recorded in the Classic of Mountains and Seas“山海经” that a fish can eat fish and spit out pearls, which is called the Pearl Turtle Fish“珠鳖鱼”. The Classic of Mountains and Seas is a book that records history and mythology.
That "Giant Stone Hand" is actually Buddha's own hand. Sun Wukong made a bet with Buddha that he can go to the edge of the universe first. After reaching there Sun believed that he won and as a way to mark his "victory" he wrote his name on the stone pillar and peed on it. Sun forgot that since Buddha had reached Nirvana, Buddha is essentially one with the universe which meant that Sun already lost the moment he challenged Buddha
The hidden boss of this chapter JinChi(requires you to knock 3 bells to activate) was the monk in this cutscene. When he was young and playful, chased a fog into the forest, accidentally met the bear, the bear did not attack him but thought he was here to beg alms, so gave monk the gold he gathered. This wakes the greed in young monk's heart as he slowly grown to be the master, wearing fancy kasaya, and when he became the head of this temple. He has seen over 200 kasaya, thought he finally puts down the greed and changed into his original simple plain kasaya from the beginning, until one day The Sangzang pass by, and showed him a kasaya he never seen before, then he realised that is not his greed vanished, its the exisiting kasaya couldn't interest him anymore, now there is a better one, he finally knew that after all these years of practice, he still has not changed. This drive him crazy and told his disples Guangzhi & Guangmou to burn the room Sangzang slept so he could take the precious kasaya, but wukong turned the fire against him. Thats the tale told by this cutscene.
This is translated by a translation software, hope it works well(°ー°〃) I hope my understanding of the story can provide some reference. The little monk chased the frog into the forest, and the frog jumped onto the hands of the dead. But the little monk still chose to catch up with the frog. (The frog carries the meaning of wealth, implying that the young monk himself is a person who pursues wealth.) When the little monk met the bear, it was resting next to the wreckage of the damaged carriage.(perhaps the source of this wealth was not good.)At that time, the bear was already a "Guai" and he hoped to learn Buddhism to make his power stronger. The bear saw that the little monk had a desire for wealth, so he gave the little monk treasure and hoped to learn Buddhism from him. Later, the little monk and the bear became friends, and with the help of the bear, The little monk, also known as JinChi, quickly improved his status, while the bear could also learn more advanced Buddhism. However,JinChi did not have real talent. Although he had learned a lot of Buddhism and puts down his desires, he hoped that others would know that he was a high monk. And he believed that a good kasaya was the best proof of a high monk (because when he was a child, he saw that the high monks around him were all wearing gorgeous kasaya). You can see a scene in the animation: many kasaya dance in the sky, and monks are looking up and cheering. This scene is artistically processed and abstract, possibly expressing JinChi's inner thoughts:For Jinchi, kasaya symbolizes the status and reputation of a high monk Later, the story of 《Journey to the West》 happened, and Sangzang showed JinChi the most beautiful kasaya in the world. The following story is explained very well by RANDOMGUY. “Bereft of that kasaya, how shall they show the world their ties are cut, and their lust is quelled?”。 It is a mockery of JinChi as a practitioner who hopes to prove his spiritual achievements through material means. It also means that he pays too much attention to appearances and neglects his inner self.

The english translation of this game is not even good, no wonder why many players gave it an 8 or 6…
Before explaining I must tell you that the story of this game takes inspiration from the original work Journey To The West and many of it's adaptations. The monkey Wukong was carrying is not a duplicate of himself but a true sibling of him in a sense, it's called the Six Ears Monkey. We all know that Wukong is born from a magical stone but his true origin is from the ancient monkey beast. When the beast got killed it's soul splitted in to 4 parts and two are Wukong and the six ear monkey. In Journey To The West for some reason six ear monkey want to take Wukong indentity and reap all the merits that will be granted. The conflict was not a life and death situation. It was just a nuisance for Wukong to prove his identity. Later the Budha stepped in, put them in an arena and declare only true Wukong can come out alive. So basicaly Wukong was forced to kill his own sibling 🙍

★ This is the story of what happened at the end of chapter 1:
• It is said that long, long ago, a young novice monk wandered deep into the forest and unexpectedly encountered a colossal Black Bear Guai.
----------------------------------------------------
★ This is the story of what happened at the end of chapter 4:
• Tian Peng Yuan Shuai, deeply enamored with Chang'e, had relentlessly pursued her.
----------------------------------------------------
★ This is the story of what happened at the end of chapter 5:
• The scene takes place immediately after the first battle with Yang Jian in the game.
- This is the first mistake:
• Subsequent to his great upheaval in the Heavenly Palace, Wukong was incarcerated beneath the Five Elements Mountain.
- This is the third mistake:
• Before vanishing, the Great Sage Equaling Heaven declared, "Despite any meritorious deeds or exalted station, the Celestial Realm would inevitably persecute demons of our kind, myself and the Bull Demon King included."
• He further advised to stay away from the six sense organs that the Sun Wukong had left behind, as they would bring misfortune in the future.

Chapter 1 actually tells a story about Jinchi which reveals a philosophical debate about the confront of showing one with no need of luxuries has to have a lot of luxuries to prove the no-needs. quoting 'Bereft of that kasaya, how shall they show the world their ties are cut, and their lust is quelled?'
Chapter 2 is a separate story stating that the good and bad will is just a moment of truth.
I mean the order in reverse would be:
> When he decided to invade the heavenly court
>When the war started (he was stronger than everyone)
>The court asked Buddha for help and Buddha challenged him and he won, and pissed on the pillars that were Buddha's fingers.
> when he was freed by the pilgrim and began the journey to the west
> when the pregrin tricked him and made wukong put on the crown to control him
> when wild boar challenged what would be the 3rd member.
>when they fought a thousand battles
>when they returned with the writings
>when he obtained the title of bhuda victorious fighter
>when he challenged the court again (they had committed genocide with his people)
Why did the court kill his people? Was it because Wukong had managed to ensure immortality for them and the celestials saw them as just animals?
Also, is Wukong the father of Red Boy? And if yes, why were the wife and the bull king entangled into this by the celestials?
And who is that baby Buddha? He is too cute! If you happen to know an answer I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance and have a great weekend!

I have never thought these were from a game, but just a RUclips series, but holy shit! THESE are from a game !?

I didn't come here to watch the video, because I don't want to spoil myself, but I'm here to say thank you for actually highlighting these animations. They threw me for a loop
You won't really get spoiled for watching chapters 1-4
It's really sad to see some streamers not getting the context of the animations and just brushing it off with simple comments like "It's beautiful and art style and all...".
Gotta watch the Asian ones. Or the Chinese ones.
They don’t understand the stories behind. Every characters got a long story and legend …
Yes, its story is too huge.
It is sad to see, but at the same time streamers don’t carry much weight with me.
I mean it's not their fault man
I love how each chapter have different animation style
The english version cut the music and the very end when wukong finish his and put the cup down, starts to sound a sad and tragic music in the chinese version its keep

It is a story about how Wukong was born, how he made mistakes, and his redemption by escorting his master on the journey to the West (from China to India I guess). And become a Victorious-Fighting Buddha.
All monsters from the game were from 81 visitations that Budda created to test them on the way to West

★ This is the story of what happened at the end of chapter 5:
• The scene takes place immediately after the first battle with Yang Jian in the game.
----------------------------------------------------
- This is the first mistake:
• Subsequent to his great upheaval in the Heavenly Palace, Wukong was incarcerated beneath the Five Elements Mountain.
I have seen you in every black myth wukong video lol
the lore is so confusing
people saying is a 5 or 7 because the story is the same people who gives a 10 or 9 to Elden Ring Souls lore LOL

Chinese animatioon is gorgeous!
So nezha briefly shows up in the animation but not in the game... Bizzare.. nezha was a pretty important supporting character in the mythos..
Bro lost to a fucking water melon :
On the surface, this story tells of humans killing giant turtles that constantly bestow their wealth on them because of their greed for wealth. He did everything he could to prove himself right to Jinchanzi, which corresponds to the Buddhist concept of obsession as one of the three poisons.(The first story corresponds to greed, and the second story corresponds to anger)
In detail, you can see that when the person who took a knife to hurt the old turtle made his first move, his collar was pulled forward.

29:44 did he actually just pee/piss on a giant stone hand?!

@@rangshinadakro6319 sure man
This is translated by a translation software, hope it works well(°ー°〃)
I hope my understanding of the story can provide some reference.
The little monk chased the frog into the forest, and the frog jumped onto the hands of the dead. But the little monk still chose to catch up with the frog. (The frog carries the meaning of wealth, implying that the young monk himself is a person who pursues wealth.)
When the little monk met the bear, it was resting next to the wreckage of the damaged carriage.(perhaps the source of this wealth was not good.)At that time, the bear was already a "Guai" and he hoped to learn Buddhism to make his power stronger.
This scene is artistically processed and abstract, possibly expressing JinChi's inner thoughts:For Jinchi, kasaya symbolizes the status and reputation of a high monk
Later, the story of 《Journey to the West》 happened, and Sangzang showed JinChi the most beautiful kasaya in the world.

Why was Wukong crying/sad when he was carrying a duplicate of himself?
因为那个复制品也是他自己的一部分,为自己死去的那一部分哭泣。
