Being from the Boston area, I appreciated hearing these vintage news reports. By the way, at the time, WBZ didn't have the news (by day)/talk (by night) format it now has. Back in November of 1963, 'BZ was a Top-40 station, except for a 90-minute early-evening talk show, with news on the hour and headlines on the half-hour.
Joe Postove I believe it was 1968, but I thought that at the start of his time at 'BZ, Glick's show was a hybrid of music and talk, but by the end of 1969 (maybe earlier), his show had gone all-talk.
+David Von Pein's JFK Channel Thank you Mr. Von Pein very much. I was also wondering how I could download your entire playlist of the Sherlock Holmes movies with Rathbone and Bruce.
+remme6 Click on any of the thumbnail images, then that film will start playing. From there, you'll see a "Download" link near the top of the page (look for the 'downward arrow' icon). Clicking that will let you download the video file. And disregard the virus warning Google will provide. It's just a precaution for larger files. There's no virus in there, I can assure you. The files were uploaded straight from my hard drive.
The first reporter mentioned, Bob Lape, would go on to a long career at WABC-TV and become more famous as a food and restaurant critic.

When did Larry Glick begin there? Thanks.

What was it? Top 40? It was Top 40 once upon a time, wasn't it?
@@TheBrooklynbodine yes, Though out the 1960s it was a "Top 40" station.
@@jamesslick4790 OK, thanks.
Sad
To think President Kennedy was born where this station is licensed (Brookline).
Bob Lape is on the scene. Who is the in studio reporter that tosses to Lape?
That's right Massachusetts is a commonwealth that explains alot British commonwealth British laws
Pennsylvania is also a "commonwealth". Under US law, the differences between a "commonwealth" and a "state" are actually meaningless.
Hello Mr. Von Pein. I was wondering if you have any other radio broadcasts from WBZ that day.

Not from Nov. '63. But I have a couple from 1961 and 1964:
