😁 I once got on a bus in Jamaica years and years ago---when the bus driver sees I'm wearing a Tyrone Davis Tour t-shirt, he nearly fell out of his seat: DAT MAHN!!! DAT MAHN DEH!! TYRONE DAVIS, ME GOD, HIM STILL ALIVE??' 'I laughed and said, 'he plays St. Louis one or twice a year!!' And a number of reggae artists did their version of Turning Point AND Can I Change My Mind, + I Wish It Was Me.
My friends and I made our own weekly record charts out in the 70s, comparing our favorite songs. On April 17, 1976, “Turning Point” hit #1 on my list and stayed there for three weeks. I loved it.

SO DAMN UNDER-RATED, but at least the man got his while living----TD was always a headliner, always carrying the TIGHTEST band anyone ever had, and this song sold in the millions!
@@thomasray2261 Your are so right Thomas, Had the pleasure of attending one of his concert in South Carolina. He sang his azz off and the band was one of the best I've ever heard.
The back up singers is not the ones on all of his hits, I noticed when T D and said didy doop , they didn't come in with him,he looked back at them with discuss, those back up girls sound like someone slammed their finger in the door ,!they sound horrible, thank God 4 the fantastic band and the bass was of the chain, covered it up.pulled it of.
Hey top rope the back up girls miss when they were supposed to come in didi dopp at first ,those girls were not his girls, these were fill in back up ones ,his girls some bad bees.

He must've been mad during the show about something when he performed in the mood Because his energy it way different when he did this one
