I am from the Jandiala Guru town mentioned in this episode. I felt bad that for a Rs7000 product - raw material is around Rs2900 and they pay 15% i.e. roughly Rs1000 to makers which means non-makers/company takes around Rs3000. Very less payment to Thathrias community according to their work. Important thing to note that all these are hand off and time consuming. This way this community will be finished soon. Their generations have opted other work, because no money in this work. Giving UNESCO title is not enough.

In cities, there are some particular areas that only have brass/copper shops. They only deal with these kind of things. I have one in chhatrapati sambhajinagar, I also know one in pune. If i want to spend this much, i would rather go to pune and buy it. It would still be cheaper.

@@a.ayushgoyalAll our products are ISO certified and are made from pure brass, copper and kansa. In the markets, people usually sell either of the two:
1. Products which are stainless steel or aluminium from inside and have a brass/copper coating/colouring on the outside
2. Products which have lead mixed in them which make them impure
Prices of pure raw material of brass and copper start at 850-900 INR per kg, and a lot of people are actually selling the final finished products at an even lower price, hence we ask consumers to judge for themselves as to what is right and wrong. Moreover, you can get our products tested for the purity.

From a consumer perspective prices are just crass. Cooking in pital utensils is very controversial matter. No science backs the benefits. Here in Assam its very common and traditional to have pital untensils certainly more than punjab or rest of India for that matter as it's a part of our tradition . But we never cook in pital utensils. Plus this requires high maintenance and if not maintained will turn toxic

P-Tal ka water dispenser is 8000 rupees for 3 litre water. 3 litre water wala dispenser as per their website is 2 kgs. 2 kg copper is 1800 rupees. So 6200 rupees is taken as making charges.
You will find this far far cheaper. Eg Exim Impex is a exporter from Moradabad. Aise bohot hai at Moradabad who will sell this for 2500 to 3000 rupees and inlogo ne purey desh main chotey byapari khareedte hai and apne apne dukaano main bechte hai.
All entrepreneurs have only one mission selling their products to rich people at the highest rate possible. Nobody is interested how the products will benefit to normal people at normal rate. So why the hell middle class people watch it? Make money and enjoy within yourself.
