FUEL Series 30 Min Glutes & Hamstrings Tempo Workout | Day 23

  • Slow, fast, slow, fast… here we go! Glutes and hamstrings will be working using various techniques!
    All of the staple compound movements including hip thrusts, sumo squat deadlifts and RDLs, plus some more plyometric movements to increase the heart rate too!
    The staple is a combination of dynamic, static and explosive to hit the glutes, hamstrings and cardiovascular system!
    Working on the lengthening of the hamstrings using RDLs and shortening of the hamstrings using hamstring lifts!
    The timer will be on for a range of different durations ranging from a single set, supersets being 30/30, trisets being 30/30/30! The rest period each time will be 30 seconds.
    We have a staple in this session, and it is a sumo squat sumo (or explosive drive-up sumo squat if you prefer no jumping) for 30 seconds, then into a sumo squat deadlift hold for 30 seconds using a weight before we return for another 30 seconds to those jumps/explosive sumos! The staple will appear four times in total!
    The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 2 x 15kg for the RDLs and 1 x 30kg for everything else!

    I’ve been intrigued to see what the finisher would be after Caroline mentioned it in her Sunday community comment! It looks like a brilliant burnout to finish off a superb workout! The staple looks superb and there are plenty of hip thrusts today! Tempo work is fun! We know this will burn...but we also know that we will smash it and feel so good afterwards!       I just can't wait to feel the level of difficulty increase with each progressing variation of the tempo supersets! So excited and on top of it I'll be doible-stacking this right after DAY 22!       Morning, Matthew... holly glutes! That was an intense session, I felt it since the first hip thrusts variation. I don't know if even exist superlative to describe how much I loved this one. The staple was fantastic in my eyes, I love jumping squats and the isometric hold in the middle was a brilliant addition. For the second round my glutes always felt tight. The hamstring holds with dumbbells were hard, my legs were shaking and the one leg hip thrusts never dissapoint. The finisher was superb, last 30 sec was a lateral pain!
      Now, I think we all earned a well rounded active rest. A walk and some stretches for me, nothing intense. Fuel has leveling up the intensity each week and I am here for it. But I am also here for the optimal recovery, for treating my body with respect after all the hard work!

    The Fuel Series has been amazing. I have so much more lean muscle definition and I am developing a 6 pack for abs!! I have many people ask where do I work out and I tell them online with Caroline they are surprised. I have my cousin and friend work out on line with Caroline now. Thank you Caroline you have made a difference not only in work outs also my life. 💝

      Idk why it’s so hard for so many people still to believe you can get ripped at home. It’s all about strategy, consistency, technique, discipline..don’t need a gym. I have a 6 pack from working out at home. Nothing new! Just need to train right.

    This was so far toughest glute workout for me 😰 it took me an hour to finished it as many variation didn’t have rest that staple is a killer 😝 after few round of it I had to modified/changed staple 😬 in the end,,,,, feeeelinnnnn yeeeeeeee👏🏼🙌🏼🥳

There’s a brilliant, challenging staple where the jumps just get harder and harder, a superb finisher where you’ll really put your band to good use...and just loads of hip thrusts and hamstring lifts!     When you do enough of Caroline’s workouts, you learn to associate pain with happiness 🔥🥰
    I’ll probably end up doing this workout tomorrow, though I might still do it today if I have enough time and mental willpower left after Day 22 😁

    I almost didn't do this one today. It's my day off and pent up stress from work that even last night's video couldn't beat back (it put up a good fight, though!) had me in tears last night. I took most of the day to just sit and do nothing but play on my Switch. I needed to, but knew that I just wouldn't feel right if I didn't do today's workout.
    After much procrastinating, I hit "play" and OH MY GODS MY LEGS ARE NOW JELLO! Those single-leg hamstring holds about did me in! About those hip thrusts in the finisher? My legs, the left one in particular, just went "nope!" Thankfully, I don't start work until later tomorrow!

    Thank God the timer is only for 30 seconds each🤑I was literally feeling those hip thrusts cuz I was totally focusing on stretching the band....and really it hurts man 👨 😅 and the finisher was too good 👍 banded squats were my fvrt followed by alternative banded steps 🚶‍♀️ really enjoyed it with so much 🔥....now going to enjoy the rest day tomorrow for sure...

    LOVED this staple! So challenging to push through that second set of squat jumps... yet rewarding enough to make me do one last round after the finisher just to stick it to myself!
    This one is going down in my book as one of the toughest glute workouts.

    This was a tough one! Some breaks were definitely needed, but I'm proud to have pushed through.

    I agree with all that said yesterday's upper body w/o was fabolous! It has easily become my favorite upper body session . I loved the staple but the cherry on top was the finisher...I did not want it to end. So innovatively designed series! Certainly packs a punch with an extra boost of energy around two-thirds of the w/o, releasing endorphins to help finish strong! Thank you CG for designing another awesome series! Fuel for the body and mind!

      @@vidyasampathkumar7113 Hi Vidya...my favourite active rest day is to go for a long walk in the countryside. I’m lucky in now being semi retired so I have more spare time...I just like to go out exploring to see what there is to see...and I enjoy planning the route that I’m going to walk!

    Most awesome Caroline, your workouts kick ASS! I've been working out consistently for 4 years, and I normally pick exercises out of RUclips after a series of workout programs I enjoyed. Ever since I started using RUclips to workout, I haven't quite found something that kicks as much butt as YOUR workouts. I normally don't engage, but I've done 3 to 5 of your workouts and I don't know if it's the change of pace/routine, but I had to comment because they're INSANE. I'm cursing you out through half of every video, but I love every minute of pain! LMAO. Thank you for your uploads, your enthusiasm, and your cool downs---they're a very lovely touch and feel like an intimate "JOB WELL DONE, GIRL!" I appreciate you!

    It’s even better the 2nd time around. Only suggestion is to have a sound when we switched sides. You’re in the zone & not looking at the screen and sometimes you do all the work on 1 side

    I love tempo work too and this workout had it all. Holds get me every time mentally but I love that challenge of making it to the end of the timer. The sumo jumps beat me today though! I might have dropped out of the last few seconds as those were tough in combination with everything else!I I enjoyed the variety of hamstring work (both tempo and chair and floor) and I’m quite sure I’ll be feeling that tomorrow! DB dead bugs was next, a favourite video. And now to look forward to Friday’s full body!

    I did this earlier today and it was yet another tough one!
    I can't remember if it was in an earlier Fuel video or Epic 1 that there were single legs hip thrusts and I could barely do a few reps at a time and had to do mostly double leg thrusts instead.
    Today I was able to do SO many more on each single leg! I still had to do a few reps with both legs but it's a huge improvement from before.
    I was also able to do many more single hamstring lifts but had to take breaks.
    I loved that finisher! Because I had to take breaks for the single leg hamstring lifts, I decided to make the finisher a bit harder and used 10kg weight plates when she did bodyweight hip thrusts and squats.

    The second time around doing it and as usual, Caroline's workouts never disappoint. I loved the cardio bursts with the sumo squats, well those made my legs burn and heart rate sky high. I used a 30kg kettlebell and 2x15kg dumbbells. 🌶🔥

    This Fuel series is absolutely amazing as all Caroline's program are!! I loved upper body workout yesterday. The cluster format and staple was really fun to do even though it burned a lot!!     Ooh la la! So INTENSE! 😆 First set Bum on 🔥 already and it goes on. Hamstring lifts were Ouch! Luv the Tempo. Holds and Staples are the toughest. One of the toughest sesh for me but feels great to finish. Great workout! Also did the add-on 12min. Deadbug Ab wo.

      Morning Trish...wasn’t this an intense one! By the time we got to the finisher our glutes and hamstrings had been worked so hard...then the finisher was really intense too!       Well done Trish. Yes agree with you about one of the toughest glutes & hammy sess. Yes from hip thrusts the 🔥🔥 began and lasted throughout. The staple was ouchie. Sumo hold agony and got worse as time went on. Finisher was a sizzler too but doable. Add on done too✅ love that one. So we are well worked after that. Have a great active rest day. See you Fri 😄

    Caroline, I don't know how your remain so calm when the body is resisting so hard! I guess it's all your marathon training. I used 40lbs for hip thrust 35lbs for sumo squats and 30lbs for everthing else. The jumps after the sumo holds were insanely hard!! Hamstrings lifts with weights were challenging.Bodyweight hamstring lifts was a little confusing with the switching so I decided to do single and double leg curls on sliders. It was a really good and burned like crazy!!

      It definitely gave us a good sizzle Kyle. In fact, I think we got fried up🥵🥵 this is a very intense demanding sess. But I loved it. Another the tempo change is brilliant. Lots of fun & 🔥🔥🔥 here. You will love but watch out for those sumo holds. The steam will be rising during those. See you Fri 😄

      @@annereidy515 Wasn’t this hard but fun, Anne! Yes those sumo holds...and didn’t you find that the jumps just got harder and harder! I loved the finisher...and so many hip thrusts and hamstring lifts! On the single leg hip thrusts I missed one of the cues telling us to change legs....so I did so many in one leg and it nearly finished me off! Enjoy your active rest day...I shall be walking again...maybe Leith Hill which is the highest point in SE England...I.e. not very high!! But it’s a nice walk!
