I play tug of war a lot with my friend's St. Bernard Sometimes I'll stop pulling, and she growls real deep and looks up at me with cute droopy eyes, as if she's saying "what, you give up??"

Im allways afraid they going to yank a tooth out .... but Im also not a dog owner and dont really know how strong their teeth are... Do play tug-of-war with friends dogs... big dogs. Using this specific rope for that activity and let them get a really good grip around it... and then I growl back at them to make them fight me even harder! Great time... until I let go, then they throw the rope at me becuase they wanna go again!

We had Rat Terrier he loved doing this with other dogs our miniature Schnauzer he would even push the toy into the other dogs mouth wait for him to bite down. The Schnauzer passed away and our tiny Yorkshire terrier took over he would just pull her around the floor. The Rat Terrier passed on last spring he gotten too old for tug of war.
@@FlechFisher Thanks it was most difficult decision of last 30 years put him down. I still question if we made the right decision. He went blind and had lost all control of his bowels. Watching him struggle to go outside to go on the grass and run into walls. We would have had to keep him in a kennel 90% of the day. We suspected something wrong with his liver also he lived 17 years most of it was healthy and happy. He was one of the best dogs we ever had RIP Spout we will miss you.
@@Mike-01234 Ii can surely empathize with that. i also had the misfortune of having my beloved dog start to fail himself due to old age. He had a huge tumour in the in the testicles and he would start getting skinnier and skinnier no matter how much we fed him and he would also loose apetite and energy for anything really.it got ti the pint where the poor guy would just lay all day in the same spot and he would make the rooms reek of the stentch of death for the lack of better term.... so i can tell you, it was definetly the right choice for both of us... prolongued suffering is just slefish and cold in many ways.... come to find out too after the vet exaimined him right before he passed that he had 3 extra minor ones around the stomach area.... he deserved better, he had a trubulent life unlike yours, but i think we did our best to make him happy for the last few years and he enjoyed the nost part or at least id like to think so.... RIP pooky, you are defintely in a better place than you were when you were here the last few years thats for sure, you will be missed and never forgotten
What is the aggressive behavior? Both dogs are excellent family dogs and well behaved in public. The Malinois has sadly since passed due to cancer. She was an amazing dog.

This would make it a lot easier for me if my dachshunds would tug together instead of them both bringing me their toy
Whenever I played tugowar with my rotty he would always lay down and use his weight as an advantage😂

depends on the breed and health, but dogs naturally eat bone for calcium.

Neither of them gave up. That says a lot about both the German Shepherd and Belgian Malinos as dog breeds.
