Just to give you a little hint what is going on there:
The lyrics are from a childs view who is begging for his mother to stand up again. The kid wants to go in the park, the weather is nice, there's a circus in town a.s.o. But the mother is heavily drug addicted - possibly dead already.
Well, in the video the drummer plays the kids part and watches his mother who's is played by Til AND Peter. Til represents the good side of the mother, Peter represents the bad side.
At the beginning you will recognize how pissed Til is by his bad side (Peter). The child (drummer) sits helpless on the toilet. Both sides of the mother start to fight each other. Snow (drugs) are falling down and in the end it seems like the bad side of the mother (Peter) is killed. But it does not help! It provokes the total chaos and the huns storm in. The huns do not attack the child. The child seems to be strong and looks them in the eyes. The little bird sings: "Mother stand up, mother live again!" But the huns catch her and test her. She does not survive. The huns find out that they have killed the good side of the mother and leave. But child is strong now and finally stands up, gets the trousers back and starts to try to forget.

you might have to edit a bit if you do the uncensored version of Knebel...or some other of his/their songs. Lindemann is Till's project for things that are too crazy for Rammstein...

Gotta give some love to the other guy Peter who wrote the music for Lindemann before he left the group. He is the lead singer and guitarist in the death metal band Hypocricy and also has a solo project called Pain which is pretty close to Lindemann soundwise.

EXPLANATION:
the song is about about an addicted mother and her young son. he wants her to stand up and go to the circus with him or the park. but she lies in bed the whole day.
Peter Tägtgren (on drums) represents the boy, Peter Stormare (on guitar) represents the bad (addicted) side of the mother, Till (singer) represents the good (clean) side of the mother. They fighting, Peter (the addicted side) wins, the mother takes drugs (the snow), they kick in (the horses etc = bad, wild trip), Till dies in the end, the drugs won... song and video are masterpieces

It's pretty unique and sinister - while actually also being an homage to/Remake of the original song (VERY famous in Germany during times of hardship)

Interesting fact about this video is that it was shot in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Guys were there, presenting Till's book and decided to make a video. Men, who took part in shootings are local stunts"Nomad stunts"... Salutes from Kazakhstan)

Fun Fact... the bit where they lasso Till, it is actually Till being dragged behind the horse, not a stuntman. They wanted a stuntman to do it but Till insisted that it was him (I cannot for the life of me remember why) .. but there is a pretty good 'Making of.." video for most of Lindemann and Rammstein videos...

They made 2 albums together, one in English the other in german. Both are amazing, sadly they split up after the 2 albums. Lindemann's music is amazing and definitely worth listening to all his songs.

Steh Auf = Stay Owf in pronunciation basically. Ich Hasse Kinder is probably the best one to watch next, then frau und Mann. I'd save Praise Abort for last if you watch all of his.

Actor Peter Stormare is the guy who plays his supposed double all through the video,and the guy who gets dragged by the horse and rider through the dirt and grass. He ws the Russian Cosmonaut in the movie "Armageddon".
**Peter demanded to actually be dragged. They didnt use a stunt man for the scene.

Weird bit weird
Well the story behind is sad. It is about a mother who died of an overdose and the child tries to wake her up. It is weird, because Peter (on the drums) "sees/has the trip", the two characters are in to. But I know, it is also not everybody's cup of tea. Enjoy your weekend.
