Another thing to consider, you can actually negotiate your affiliate club deals so that they send players into your invisible youth teams. It actually says this in game.

Affiliate clubs do increase your youth intake, only if the affiliate relationship has the affiliate club send their youth players to your academy to train. This is how clubs like Borussia Dortmund will get great Australian players. It is a specific kind of relationship.
An unproven one, that I believe, is Youth Coaches knowledge or nationality has some affect. I always seem to get newgens from the foreign nation of my youth coaches' nationalities.

As a youth developer manager (This is literally the only thing i do in this game since Championship Manager days) I turn what ever club into Prime Era of Barcelona. Some clubs take longer then others obviously. But its a true passion of mine
This video is spot on, i like it very much! All the tips you have mentioned is 100% correct, some more effective then other ofc.
But heres some few tips that i did not hear.
-Hire Internationally capped staff from the country you are in. Their national reputation will boost your club reputation.
Normally i make sure a former national hero is the u18 manager. (Normally he have kinda bad Coach stats but high determination and motivation etc) He will also develop with time to become better. Example: Zlatan in Sweden.
-Spend alot of money on youth coaches, Fitness, Goalkeeper, etc etc. If you have the highest avarege staff will make people see your club in better light.
This is not a hidden fact, players often ask when signing contracts to improve coach staff etc, this also would mean AI Youth are looking at those factors when choosing club.
Affiliate clubs: Always make sure to get a couple of them with rule: To send their youth to train with your club. And you would prefer to have a couple from your own country that your club is in. And also in countries with historically good youth regens, also make sure those countries are loaded up into your save to make sure those countries keep up to standards)
But last and most important, patience.
When your squad is on the top. Many of your youth intakes will feel mediokre, with maybe 1-3 Good youths per season.
But just like in real life. A Golden Generation appears once every ~10 year and you can never know where you are in the Cycle :)
    Also something i cannot confirm.
    Apart from your Manager reputation.
You will also get new stats depending on your actions like:
Sign young player for first team
Use young players in low priority cups
    Etc.
I do believe the more of these that appeals to young players you have the better. And this goes for your u18 manager to.

All my tests have shown me, that the first youth team IS the strongest on AVERAGE. I experimented with the editor, and almost always things were like this. Although new youth comes after improvements in condition and reputation, the average level is the same, or worse. Sometimes, true stars appears, but they are exceptions from the rest of the team.
P.s. sorry for the bad English

Loans works provided that your player is playing. You much check the loan report occasionally to see. They best advice I can give is sign a lot of high potential youth, then loan em out. Sign as many as possible. Loan them out for two years. Keep only the best ones.

My HOYD's reputation is only 1/2 star, but he is professional, 19 in both working with youths and judging potential and he does a great job at getting kids into my system imo. His predecessor was 2.5 stars and "balanced"" with 14 in judging potential, and he was always hit or miss with the youth intakes. No consistency and a fair amount of undesirable personalities. Even the ones who looked like they would be great 4.5 - 5 stars would have some serious flaw like 4 work rate or low DET.
So I don't think it matters.

    A few thoughts.
    1. I hate how they do Stars 'Relative'. If the guy is a garbage truck driver, rate him garbage truck driver. Upper Division Teams have no use for him, but my team can use a few Garbage Truck Drivers, and can afford them. This way, when I get a legit guy on the Team that a big team might be interested in I can understand the process of Transfer. As it stands, I have an MVP from a Team that was the Championship Runner-Up (We lost the Championship)... and yet no one is interested. Probably because he was the Best Garbage Truck Driver in the League (It was the MLS, we're bound to have some legit World Players but we probably still haven't caught up to Countries that have been serious about Futbol for a long time).
    2. Maybe we solve this with Two Ratings... the Global Stars and the Club Stars. My GM should be able to say "Here in Podunk, kid is a 4.5... but on the World Stage, kid buys tickets and sits in the bleachers."
    3. The thing I look at over Stars now is what their Position suggests are the Core/Secondary Abilities. Then I take them, add them all up, divide them by how many abilities... ta-da, I have a 20 Point Scale. At MY Current level, if you rock an 11, you're probably a Starter. I do have to be careful, although I don't use a Weighted System yet, because a 19 in Determination can skew things. But at my level, that 19 in Determination, put into a Mentor Group... might pay off more than another guy on the Roster being just as futile on the field as everyone else and NOT providing Mentor Value.

I’ve seen everyone say that the dynamic youth rating is based on success of clubs in the nation but would it not make more sense to be based on the national teams performance? If it were to be based on clubs, nations outside of Europe would never be able to match European youth ratings. Let’s take China as an example, I believe they’re the number 1 or 2 league in Asia, and quite consistently dominate the Asian Champions League, yet their youth rating is average at best. This would just turn Europe into an even bigger powerhouse than it already is. If they used national teams performance, we would have more obscure nations move up, and they even have a dynamic ranking page for all nations in the world already. What are your thoughts on this?

  • @TheAlb100
    @TheAlb100 2 года назад +2

You want to know why the first intake seems to be the best? Its because you normally improve your team after year 1. The "star" rating you get are relative - relative to the rest of your team. So if you start with a poor team, a poorer quality player who is relatively better than your other players will have a higher star rating for his CA or PA. By year two, year three etc - if youve brought in higher quality players your best youth prospects will have to have a potential ability BETTER than your new star players to have 4/5 stars.
So what you're probably seeing is your overall team improving - not that your youth intake players are getting worse or not better.

I will definitely look for a skin that shows percentages rather than hearts and thumbs. The argument to remove percentages "as not realistic" is weak at its best. irl you can see the player... here you cant. but at least the number tells you something -and more than those shitty icons.
If you really follow their reasoning the attributes shoult be in numbers either. Of course they should. Don't remove good stuff.

    • @happyknife8785
      @happyknife8785 2 года назад +4

I agree mate, I hate the hearts, the whole "realistic" argument is dumb because as you said realistic would be talking to the player, observing them in training, your fitness coach assessing them ect. And if we talking "realistic" you'd have to take away virtually everyone's favourite feature..... transfers. Managers do not do transfers, negotiate deals and contracts ect, they along with a director of football ect go to the board or similar and indicate their preferred targets.

If you don’t understand “hearts” or sumbols which is hide some things; making the game harder then it’s your fault. I will ask SI to hide any attribute from public; pretty sure you will fail and you will call “game suck” despite your own failure in simple football play. Better play Sims or Battlefield mate.
