  • Awesome hike in the middle of the state. Such a fun area to visit when it is not 90-100 degrees. After hiking the towns of Wenatchee and Leavenworth are nearby and worth a quick stop if time. The hike starts on the grassy hillsides before entering a forest of Ponderosa pine and other evergreen trees. This trail is very steep, 1200 feet of elevation gain in the first 2 miles. The loop portion is better but does contain 2 really steep uphill sections. Great views of the Enchantments and the Blewett Pass area. No payment or park pass required in the trailhead parking lot, nice vault toilet, signs indicate no dogs allowed.
