I'm pretty sure you're right. Ridge finding out about Beth was always the big stick Stephanie held over Brooke's head. Then we don't even see him finding out something, which, we can only assume, must have been a big shock to him.

We really got "robbed" of that reveal. But yes, I assume Ridge had been told offscreen. Thorne had been told (and Ridge might have wondered why Thorne had switched between supporting BERIC's secret affair and being against them) and with the families becoming linked, it would make sense to tell Ridge (before grandma Beth/ Eric's future mother-in-law mentions it).

But in case she chose Brooke, it makes sense according to Stephanie's beliefs that Brooke will eventually leave him, age difference, not much in common etc. And on the other hand Beth is a woman closer to Stephanie's age so theoretically fairer competition. But if Eric did end up with Beth, most of the things "against" Eric and Brooke's relationship don't exist with Beth.

I'm surprised Stephanie didn't try to cause Brooke to have a miscarriage the way she did Morgan Dewitt. Stephanie gave Morgan Dewitt tea with herbs in it that would cause a miscarriage when she was pregnant with Ridge's baby. It didn't work but Morgan fell down the steps at Taylor's house and lost the baby.

I totally forgot that Stephanie and Taylor didn’t like each other at first. They became best friends later. The Taylor that I see in these episodes is bold and very confident. Her character became kind of weak later on. She had a lot of spunk in earlier episodes. Storm is a bully. He makes me sick.😒
I remember this episode well back when it was on with Stephanie upset at the end. Despite the divorce, she just continues to infiltrate herself in Eric’s life butting into everything.
