I used to listen to the Stanley Black Russia disc my dad had in the mid to late 80s with this on it. Classical music blaring all day and night. We got so sick of it. We needed a break. I asked my dad if I could borrow it 5 years ago. Such a powerful song. You can make up your own story to it too. I also got the good tears from Childhood memories too. So...plus!
Epic music like this is backboned by an extraordinary people, a people who bled white the nazis and who are underestimated and disrespected at their foes peril.
The famous piece above, known as "Polyushka Polye", is a war march, that I imagine would be appropriate to sing when Soviet men are called to arms. As they leave their endless fields of rolling wheat down countless dirt roads, the women weep and the men consider their upcoming fate. The windy fields and open skies of Great Siberia at times betray a presence: The spirits of dead warriors from innumerable ages past howl and moan as they speed thru the land, their drive for the fight and for victory in battle unabaited, they linger... and are ever so momentarily perceptible to generations of soldiers to come... even as they, in the prime of their lives, walk headlong into the clutches of a future death in battle. This is the true meaning Lev Knipper and Viktor Gusev are trying to convey to you: the incredible cost of war.
@@AIMI4U I listened to German March music and the answer is no. USSR is more Enthusiastic and pushes you to fight and sacrifice, I can figure that the scale the Chorus And the gradual escalation of the music are some of the secrets of Russian music. Note: the only German song that made me jealous of Germans is WAFFEN SS MARCH SONG, it's so depressing and it instills a spirit of surrender into the opponent
The hardworking Russian labour class...The backbone of the Red Army...whose unparallel sacrifices lead to the annihilation of the tarrany of the Nazi's..
I listened to this song when I was kid. And now after 30 years it blow my heart to listen to it

no one can beat the Russians when it come to march music, they are the best
pretty sure germans had beat them both in music and war.
but USSR will always hold a special place in many's hearts.

Sad that Putin’s aggression is leading to Russian culture disappearing in the west. This song is hard to find now. Glory to Ukraine.
Ask same question to evil west and usa what they have done to the world. Glory to putin , glory to russia.
