Whisky.com reviews the Balvenie Single Barrel First Fill 12 years. This Balvenie Single Barrel bottling emphasizes the influence of the barrel on the taste of a whisky. Oak barrels are natural products and each one is different. As a result, each whisky has a different taste. For this bottling, Balvenies Malt Master only selected casks with sweet vanilla and oak character. All bottles are provided with the cask number and the bottle number.

Your reviews are always excelent yet you get relatively little views. I think its becuse there is little to no engagement with the viewers. I suggest answering questions from a previous videos' comments section (and mentioning the commentator by name) at the begining or end of every review. :)

My findings are the single barrel is less complex than say a doublewood or triple cask. But non the less very satisfying and simpler flavours which make it an extremely pleasant drink. Balvenie never dissapoints

I am always a little stunned that you break the seal of a bottle, pour, taste and review inside 5 minutes. I find on first opening a whisky canbe a bit uptight and the true character and complexity of a bottle doesn't even reveal itself until fill level is below the shoulder and it's been open a few weeks (ideally a month)

Big single malt fan and have sampled many. Also a Balvenie fan. But This was one of my least favourites. I’ve not enjoyed it very much at all. Found the taste thin, hardly any sweetness. No caramel. Florally. It’s very dry also. Taste and even color Reminds me of strong dry white wine. Will not be buying again.

I have a single cask bottling of Glenfarclas 12 year old at 49% cask strength. Low abv cask strength bottling are rare especially at younger ages, but not impossible...
