I struggled for quite a long time figuring out how to accurately shoot a handgun. It just didn’t come naturally to me, especially when it came to overcoming the urge to flinch just before squeezing the trigger. So I started really doing my homework, watching Jerry Miculek videos, etc and BY FAR what improved my shooting the most was improving my grip technique and getting a much tighter grip. When you’re death-gripping that thing, even if you do flinch a bit the variance in sight alignment & point of impact is negligible compared to when you’re insufficiently gripping the gun. Some people figure this out very quickly but not me. Took me a while.

ProTip: trigger pull doesn't matter as much as your Grip.

Everyone is always so concerned about trigger pull because most people have girly hands. I'm in the construction business. Every tool we have has a trigger on it. When you use them all day long you don't even think about trigger pull.

Can’t say I agree but that’s an interesting perspective.
