I gave up being a rally lead about 12mths ago and totally changed my mindset to being the best joiner I could be, made such a difference to my mental state as I am now happy again playing the game in a smaller alliance having fun again, zero stress or pressure

I think that rally leaders are unhappy people😂 it’s too hard, you need to not only spend a LOT of money but also time and study the game mechanics and new functions all the time, it’s not fun and very tiring
You can get a benefit over players a similar strength to you, and hold your own against bigger spenders, but the mega spending krakens like Vega/Lisa will roll over you by spamming a dozen solos no matter how powerful you are. Crap like shields and pre-battle aircraft duels doing 500K kills against you guarantees them the win, there's just nothing you can do against that except spend a similarly stupid amount that they do.
Those mid to high spenders are definitely the unhappier bunch. As you said, not only spend a LOT of money but also time and energy to understand the stuff they do but also to play the game.
Are there someone interested in moving to another state? Please go to 916,, we need players specially with 3 to 4 billion power to balaance our state
c'mon guys, this game selling two things: 1) basic gaming chat interface with people around the world and 2) a feeling being powerful and smash weaker players, or alliances or entire state. there is nothing exiting in game play anymore, lots of bugs, unfair matchmaking, tons of casino like events. so we only have some people we like or love or hate keeping us in sos thats all
the list indeed get's smaller and smaller. I'll need to figure out more ways to entertain you.
I cut my spending by 90% and can still find enough players to smash to keep up my spot at #30 global with 200-300M kills per SVS. I know it's just as pointless since one day I'll quit and everything will be memories, lost in time, like tears in rain ... I gave up being maxed because winning rallies just got sooooo boooooooring, every 2 weeks it'd all reset like it never happened.
Totally feel what your saying, been talking about quitting for a over a year now, finally the last 2 weeks I made my mind up, the only thing that hurts is the people im leaving behind but the writing is on the wall for this game, the last two weeks have felt great, not being tied down by 3 accounts 1 where I was RL , freeeeeeeedom is what you will get by finally saying enough is enough
2 whale players in my alliance just quit the game because of time and money spent on the game. 10,000 a month is just ridiculous. Not many people in the present day economy has that kind of money to spend on one game, and as you said too, the epidemic is over. I'm not sure the devs understand that people has to work in order to pay for their game to begin with. I know Nexus is pushing a lot of people to consider quitting, because it just takes too much time and too many days to play it. I enjoyed having days off. Now it is genuinely impossible if you want to keep up with everything.
15 people left my alliance during the current MIGO, which is less than 3 months. See that they even changed the MIGO buildings so that to max them you need to buy packages. I'm doing everything I can, 6 mines, level 9, I have a boiler room at level 42. They also made it more difficult to get the Astro Coin in seasonal badges. For f2p players this is unattainable. Previously, if you were active you could get it. Things like this make f2p players leave the game.

Thanks for sharing this with us Wacko 😘 it's okay to stop overfeeding the greedy devs and just enjoy the game at your own pace... you bring us the best quality content here and it doesn't matter if you're a rally lead or backup lead/strong joiner... we don't need to compare ourselves to anyone and it's enough just to enjoy the game and cherrypick events not make it another full time job :) keep up the great job on your own terms, way to go!!! 🥰💪🏻
I can relate to this video WAY too much bro. Earlier this year I was spending $2,000 a month myself and was pushing pretty hard. Went from that to even $5,000+ per month some months, and the gap is STILL getting bigger somehow 🤣

i'm a participant and it's fine that they give heroes for free, the only thing is the statues give extra damn skills
I’m not a rally lead but I know what rally leads go through for the alliance. I do my best to make sure our rally leads at least have fun and don’t stress them too much by helping in the planning and checking on what they think about the event too. Nothing makes me happier than seeing our rally leads are happy. Most of our strong players do not spend in the game anymore yet they still play with fun.
This time comes for us all. Just a matter of when, and what made us crack. I still spend, but a fraction of what i did before. What the developers don't realize is that as rally leaders spend less, they fight in less challenging battles and often the battles are still fun. so it just takes enough people slowing down and they been force a more enjoyable time for themselves. Before, we were chasing being at the top. now it's not possible, so not worth it to try.

You can still be a strong rally leader but in a weaker alliance. If you play in a powerful alliance, any slowdown in spending money will be visible. In my alliance we have 3 leaders and they are often helpless. It's frustrating for them because they keep spending money and sometimes we come across an alliance where 1 player destroys everything and even a triple raid with good timing cannot defeat him. The developers have chosen a path of no return, there will be more and more events and more and more often. Now so many things affect the combat system that I wonder if it all really works well. What's the point of being an average spending player? During this MIGO, 15 people in my alliance left the game :(
and then they match you with beast alliances in events like MM and Nexus and make sure you are periodically reminded how weak your alliance is....
That's why I explained that change is not easy and sometimes it takes time to accept the change. Some players can accept that they move from being a strong player to an average player but some cannot accept this change and prefer to make other choices.
I still do not understand why we have MM and Nexus but to be reminded how ridiculous this events are especially during weekday when many of us need to work to earn the money to spend in the game 😂
totally with you on this. i havent spent a dime since covid and back in the day I could tank maxed players but now puff, one attack, all my 15m troops gone
I’ve been the strongest player in my state for a while now, but I had an extremely busy month at work and had someone else take control of my account for the month. I couldn’t believe how much stress it removed from my life. I’m back in control, but I’m taking the same route you are. A bit of spending, but nothing like before. No matter how much you spend, there will always be a bigger dog. Might as well spend what you’re comfortable with and hope the matchmaking is kind to you
I just started over. After introduction of limitless heroes i quit. Now i am in a new state starting over. No need to spend massive amounts and just as competitive. Just lower ranks.
Is it more easier in new states? Some folks are saying it's cheaper in newer states as everything is half price or something?
It is sligthly different that when we started. For example they just skipped gen2 heroes. Blissful bags give 280 gold fragments for 50 bucks. that is half price compared to the normal fragments. play smart with the knowledge you can benefit a lot. way more bundles but you have to navigate the trash. For example after less than 2 months almost maxed chief gear without massive investments. And we still have a lot of fun in RR as the opponents also are same size.
Self fulfilling prophecy - The whales are more less the guys who trigger the clock for new stuff, as they rush every time with a lot of cash spent to get there, just to fall into the pit the dug up themself, to see the next untested crap feature to spend on...till the noticed, that investment needed curve gets higher and higher to remain at the top, till they quit doing so.
The moment they introduced RNG into the game in terms of bundles and items like tempest arms, etc. was the point "on that i will not spend...and thats the case to this day"...the introduction of paywall heros which demolish everything, etc...
They nerf heros without losing a zero word, like angelica and other heros and every f2p resonate hero you got, they cancelled the option to get some fragments to develop them further, so yeah....its useless getting them if you dont invest anyway. congrats KG, ah yes please start another 3M top up and another 20 events at the same time, the last top up stopped already 2 days ago...
yeah, RNG is horrific. i always calculated $ per item for any purchasing I ever did. I grind materials but never buy them.
The RNG is rigged too. I get way better RNG outcomes in things like SOTF crates, and red/yellow trucks, on my F2P alts, than I do on my 5 year / 5 figure total spend main.
But who's going to hold them to account? Who's going to have evidence the odds are cooked towards making spenders spend more? Their code is proprietary and run on their servers, nobody outside the coders who wrote it can know what's in there. And who among them is going to whistleblow on the company?
@@greebj you described it very well, as I can confirm that on tempest arms gear, 70 essenes used, not a single ultra rare skill, on alt in total 3 essenses used, 2 ultra rare skill. Same goes for the gold chips boxes the dogs dig out... Main nothing, alt 2 frames. It is rigged, so yes would love to see if someone could that highlight that, as I assume that kind of practice would be a nice law suit.

I was forced by SOS to not be a rally lead when they banned me from spending. Since then I started my own company and I haven't logged in for almost 2 months now. Winter is coming however 😅.
I quit be a RL long time ago, and just focus to be Strong Joiner… looking game now lol, spend 21 k to gen 1 heli, over 20 k for behe, I’m not sure how much on t12… and now you get all that half of price in effortless!!! So what’s the point chase and rush when after some time you get all that in half price
The players with all the money make it unplayable for the rest of us. They always complain on how they are really bored to customer service. Then the admins make new events and easier ways to get skins😢😢
The players are not the issue. If you will see other games whiteout survival, last war survival, rise of kingdoms the same whales exist but the game developers and eco system reduces their chances to become super strong. However I agree how the same players complain their are bored.

I agree with everything said here. This game is just not the same anymore. I can't follow with so many events,not to mention it's getting more and more expensive. So many good players quit because of that.
Rally leader from alliance quit bcoz of too many things to upgrade, he can't keep up and loosing rallys to big whales frustrated him, now my alliance left with 10 players. I want to quit, bcoz its taking too much time of ours on working days
Now I want to play command and conquer and starcraft but the time leeching of sos made real good games just park up on the self . I barely play now and very happy , just hard to quit fully cause of friends but it ia happening soon

But seriously though, screw the devs. They just changed Nanami's skills (again) a few days ago without notification (or maybe I'm just not paying attention) and I'm not even the nitpicky kinda guy in this game. I never used her in Trap and am just happy with whatever rewards I get but the moment I mentioned in it State Chat, everybody loses their minds. It was hilarious AF 🤪

As a rally leader in a 370 day old state, I've been bored of the game for approximately 350 days.
I agree it’s too much time too be rally leader, and also then they open too much events and stuff, and the money went x10 now because much quiting game and they need same money in, lesser peeps price will go up
If they look at rise of kingdoms or clash of clans, that game is still going on many many years later.

As someone who plays the account of a rally lead relatively regularly, I gotta say that in the last few months sos got more strategic then before. Before the newest heroes would do the job, but now I need to learn who to resonate with who, who to use when and against who, what tempest to use and all that. It's way more than it used to be and I think it's still pretty strategic. I think your problem wacko is the fact that you're in a very strong alliance, and when being in one you will always fight even stronger people. I'm in a smaller alliance and while we do sometimes lose due to tactics, we can still win, even the rally lead acc can beat some ppl that are quite a lot stronger than him just by using the right heroes. Either way, just wondering, did you cut the video when attacking those trucks closer to the end or is there a way to skip the searching after the truck you wanna attack? Cus it's soo annoying for me because I have to search for it like 3 times because the game sends me to like the 300s states for some dumb reason.
if u know the state u are attacking then its better got there then search for truck. it helps and doesnt send u to wrong places
For example: the truck i want attack is from state 700 then i go their state then search for the truck and it send me to the right place

You forgot to comment that the reason why they keep releasing features and making the game more and more expensive are those players wasting their money in the game non stop. Its simple

Way to many events it's why how much I spend fluctuates a lot I like being a 2nd rally lead in old strong aliance(no super heroes) but even being a joiner you need to spend big now miss the old days
I quit after 1 year and half. It was GREAT time, but I also feels good now.

I guess you are not the only one with less investment - in value slots Either the win rate has been reduced or the player invests less.
Value slots has been nerfed. I rarely get over 2000 coins now for 10 spins.
I’m in the top alliance of a lead state. We have five true rally leads. Spend like crazy and are hardly ever online for any kind of daily stuff let alone saying much in chat. They only focus on the big event i.e SVS, RR, and Nexxus. Nothing else. Nothing. Guess everything else is a waste of time when you can just buy your way along. I haven’t spent a nickel in the past two years. And even then it was 5-10.00 here and there. I could walk away anytime. I made that change, still actively play, but when i want a break I take one. And don’t lose any sleep over it. Try it. You’ll be happier. Cheers.

look at it this way, all the issue with this game is from people, they want to spend thousand and in the end they end up quitting cause there is always someone that can spend more, ruining the game for F2P players and driving the Devs to be more greedy and come up with more money spending events. i play for free and totally fine with it never had the issues you all talk about just accept that hey i am not top1 cause i will not spend this much and you are golden.
P.S if we all do that you can imagine what the devs will be pushed to do. but it is what it is.

for me i quit after it went from 1 hour playtime to over 8 hours for keep up with every damn thing that whats going on and even after that it become to one point where you stop spending for it wont get you anyting as he explaines spend 10k 100k spend like 1 milion wont make you happy
I think for those gamers, proper gamers why bother playing something if you ain't wanting to play to win. I think that's the issue with folks like myself whom are used to playing competitive gaming.

I'm building my level 25 settlement after playing for 22 days. I only spent $2.16 usd on this game 😂 im hoping that whatever has told me about an inactive leade. i hope i can kick him soon and build what we donated that he never built. he also has the lowest power level out of all of us so he needs to go 😂
State of survival sucks!!! It’s similar to buying a boat… love it when you first start but then realize you entered an endless money pit . Which makes the day you and any other player who has ever become hypnotized by this stupid game decides to quit for good , it’s the best feeling in the world . Like a weight off your shoulders . This game is worse than a full time job . And the worst part is in the end all that money you spent is gone for nothing to show for it other then a strong digital base in a game that’s worth a whole lot of nada!👎 if anyone is a hacker reading this , please do the world a favor and hack state of survivals app and shut it down !!! 😂❤
