Ship poop to farmland territory where land is cheap! Process poop into fertilizer and get paid again when you sell it to farmers who ALWAYS need fertilizer! Literally a bombproof double revenue income business with little infrastructure investment! They must be making billions a year!
The fact that these big cities don't have room to dispose of their own waste shows that we need a population cap for cities. There is a thing as too much!
I never heard of this! So tragic for the people of Alabama, wow! Why in the first place is sewage being hauled anywhere? What is wrong with New York's sewage treatment plants? Who is profiting from it? What does the EPA say about this? It's like NBC gives the subject a half treatment.
Well, Alabama, you probably have more lax laws regarding sewage, at least more lax than New York and New Jersey. So, are they treating the sewage or just hauling it off to Bama state? Since its leaving the News and heading south, probably not. If it smell like raw sewage and decomposition, it probably is. How can this be anything but a health hazard? Check your state standards. We've got a solid waste plant that hauled in that town in Missouri and burned it after the semi contaminated "on accident" with dioxin. Then, you've got Chinese-owned Smithfield Farms liquifying pig poop and spraying it to disperse it; unfortunately, if the wind is in the right direction some people can't go outside without a rain coat.
@@rockingwithrockdog9236 Well, why not? If it is processed properly to remove toxins, it can make just as good fertilizer as that of cattle. Why are humans so wasteful? We eat good food, or at least we eat food, then what do you expect? You think your poop should be loaded onto a spaceship and shot into orbit? It really should be a circle. The main issue here is it sounds like the proprietors of the trains are, first of all, not being transparent about their business, and secondly, doing too little to prevent the spoils of their toil from stinking up local neighborhoods.
If those containers are carrying human waste, has it been processed at all? Because if it hasn't been processed then those containers should be placarded with biohazard warning signs and I didn't see a single placard. What??! There’s no way they can use human waste for fertilizer- it’s filled with aids, hepatitis, covid, any disease ! People who grow and use fertilizer do so with their bare hands so I don’t see this happening and if it does then it needs to stop ASAP!! 🤮
@@ypcomchic it’s not raw sewage. It is processed first and used as fertilizer in the orange fields of Florida. This was common several years ago, not sure if it still being used today
@EL CID prescription drug chemicals in it too
i mean you see states like this hurting for money but its everyone elses fault because the ignorant masses dont like the jobs given to them
How is it not unlawful for hauling human waste across state lines?
Brain before the test: This is gonna be easy, I'm so prepared for this
Brain during the test: *P O O P T R A I N*
Poop from New Jersey...now that's a perfect way to describe that state. NY and NJ are taking sh**ing on another state to another level
Alabama is the rectum of the USA
They should attach some nasty odor to the trailers getting broken into in LA, now seeing this that I've never seen. If the La trailers get opened to early or without a special key it should release nasty sprays to keep perps from breaking inside and stealing packages
Some of the homeless out here would probably still take shelter on the poop train
I think they should use glitterbomb traps that activate if the doors are tampered with. Those thieves will end up looking like they walked by a Mardi Gras, and will have sparkly poop if their mouths were open when the traps went off. 😆😆😆
@@jonathantan2469 How old are you? 12? Glitter bombs use a lot of material and is wasteful. And who is scared of a glitter bomb? You?
@@LG141602 It's not really a glitterbomb, it's really a little grenade-like device that contains a vein of ink. Simply attach it to a shipment or a truck and if someone other than the logistics team touch it, they get to play a losing round of irl splatoon. These "ink packs" are usually used on trucks that are used to haul money, they hide one of the devices with each clutch of bills to not only identify the numbskull who steals it, but also destroy the money to mark it as stolen.
Let's just hope this train never derails!
Tuberculosis, gardia, dysentery. What's not to like. When done build homes on top
Talk about the trash being trucked out to many states from New York. Not just sewage. This has been going on for years and years.
Until 2018, we were shipping all our recyclables to China. It was such poor quality because we just dumped trash in it as well that China ultimately said NO!
True the people also
It’s funny how companies are the opposite of what they claim to stand for.
1. The rail spur is for a Warehouse
2. The "pictures" are from 10 years ago
3. The person taking said pictures is trespassing
4. That town is not West Jefferson
5. The "poop train" still runs, just going to Selma, Alabama.
Sweet Home Alabama…..Where Big Sky is so Blue,… Sweet Home Alabama….Where the Poop Train Comes to you…. Wait…..What!!???
Sweet home Alabama.... Where the skies are so blue..... Lord I'm coming home to you
I wonder if this is because of deregulation?
Exactly, this is what you get. They are told it causes jobs. So they hate regulation, with a complete ignorance as to how regulations help them.
This is what the rich do to the poor. From the begging of time.
The No. 2 train is right on schedule
Which would you rather derail right by your house: petroleum transport, or this?
Whether it's rolling down hill, or as now, over great distances, it's always being helped along with the assistance of others.
Shoutout from Central Texas we are rooting for you in the fight against the unjustice of the poop train.
I thought Texas and Alabama were all about free market capitalism 🤣
@@naterbaternaterbater they only like free market capitalism when people do exactly what they want. If you don't listen to them, then it's communism, socialism, or some other ism they don't know the definition to

Take it to San Francisco. They won't even notice.
This, this is journalism. We must come to the conclusion of this mysterious poop train.
PooHaul
You crap it, we haul it.
This is just 1 issue that comes with dealing with overpopulation in cities.
It's not overpopulation, but the growth ponzi scheme making building adequate public infrastructure impossible.
Just look at how neglected the NYC subway is despite their tax base...
People in Alabama seem to have forgotten what "night soil" is for.
The fact people who have nothing to do with this waste have to suffer cause those cities can’t manage or take care of it themselves speaks volumes on the people who are in charge of those cities and speaks volumes to the people who live in those cities.. absolutely horrible
“When it hot 🥵 and humid we’ll be seeing flies”😂
Imagine the train crashes and poop goes everywhere lol
😂🙏🏽 god forbid never happen
That was actually my first thought lol
wtf is NY and NJ shipping human waste all the way to alabama for? They have a massive city right there thats already a heaping pile of crap, why not dump it there.
I assume it is processed and sold off for fertilizer! Great business model! Get paid to take poop off a municipality hands! Invest in shipping infrastructure! Ship poop to farmland territory where land is cheap! Process poop into fertilizer and get paid again when you sell it to farmers who ALWAYS need fertilizer! Literally a bombproof double revenue income business with little infrastructure investment! They must be making billions a year!
New York has good bagels, pizza, cheesecake.... Now they are shipping their poop to Alabama? I've heard it all now....
The fact that these big cities don't have room to dispose of their own waste shows that we need a population cap for cities. There is a thing as too much!
Ya this screwed a lot of farmers in Colorado when NY stoped giving/selling it to us. The slug made our crops yield 3-4x the normal amount.
Joking. Right?
He's not
@@mariaweston5477 Poop = fertilizer but you have to really treat it otherwise you’ll get parasites
Eeww.lol
🤮🤮
This will go into the water tables there
Sounds like something NY would do
You vote for less regulations, you get less regulations. It's a win win lol. But I would not want to live next or near that place LOL!
Shoulda said “it’s a story not easily digestible” in the beginning
I never heard of this! So tragic for the people of Alabama, wow! Why in the first place is sewage being hauled anywhere? What is wrong with New York's sewage treatment plants? Who is profiting from it? What does the EPA say about this? It's like NBC gives the subject a half treatment.
If I was gonna dump unwanted waste some where, Alabama would definitely be my first choice
Be careful and watch out for the guy selling “fresh corn kernels” anywhere near the poop train!!
If I lived in Alabama I will put poop in packages and ship them to every address in New York and New Jersey🥸🥸🤬🤬
Small Government and NO REGULATIONS, Right Alabama? JUST DUMP IT INTO YOUR RIVERS! IT WILL DILUTE!
This is for farming I know because I've seen it
The poop train with EPIC written on the cars LMAO
Why can't each state handle their own crap??
What else are we supposed to do with Alabama?
It's not a poop train
It's an Epic train
Sounds like a good movie 🎥 THE POOP TRAIN 😂
Humans 🙄 they'll come up with anything to make money 🤦🏻♀️
Agree
Dam , I couldn’t image the smell ,flies and water pollution ….
2:20 “I’m fed up with politicians of all levels”.
I agree, politicians in every party needs to do better.
Dump in the politicians back yards.
That's just nasty, carrying all that stank around the country, to deposit it in people's back yards. Good night Mr. Lester Holt.
There's a fertilizer shortage. They be selling it next.
It'll be alright as long as the s--t doesn't hit the fan.
😂😂😂😂 I like that comment
Waiting for a poop train wreck in peoples backyard somewhere to happen
"I'm tired of politicians on all sides." While it's private industry and multinational corporations deciding where to dump waste.
Corporations and Politicians are closely intertwined
Alabama being the nations literal toilet is poetic irony.

That's weird, I thought Los Angeles and San frans streets were the nation's toilet
@@meapl3 different type of trash

If those containers are carrying human waste, has it been processed at all? Because if it hasn't been processed then those containers should be placarded with biohazard warning signs and I didn't see a single placard. I would hope that at the very least that NYC has dewatered the waste.
Mark from Melbourne Australia.
They don’t process human waste in the US. They ferment it.
Yes processed through wastewater treatment is my guess. Those are not tanker cars so I'd guess dry remnants from settlement tanks
That man remembers The Poop Train of 87
Someone local gave them the permits.
The locals need to check into that. Also find out where the money went to
