@yourmother3819 As someone who loves deep diving huge words, and one of deep Faith, I have come to believe he's talking about the manipulation by the elites. They package everything they're planning. Pseudo means manufactured, sacrosanct is religious, so I took that to mean the perversion of something originally Holy, twisted to fit their agenda, which let's be honest, fits perfectly with the rest of the song lyrics. "No one else can see the preservation of the martyr in me".
I could be totally off, but that's how I interpreted it😅.

Ironically, too ironically - this was my uncle's favorite song when it first came out. In February of 2007, he went into a coma never to recover fully from it. I saw "fully" because after the episode he had, he lasted another 5 months and during the last 2, he couldn't move or speak, but we knew he was cognizant from his facial expressions and the fact that he could open his eyes. My mother would sing this to him because she knew it was his favorite song and tears would flow down his cheeks. Not to mention cringing when he didn't get his pain medicine (that is another story completely on it's own about how nurses and medical staff routinely abuse their patients in convalescent hospitals. Even though his quality of life was shit, we knew he could feel and see and eventually died from his treatment at this "hospital.")
The song, to us, was so ironic because of the lyrics and how we felt he was "inside looking out." It had so much meaning to my mother that I played it at her funeral last year. Not a dry eye in the entire house because everyone knew what the meaning of the song meant to us.
    Just thought I'd share...

The stars that shine for you are the ones made for you to be for you the ones God made for us. The stars that lie to you are the ones that men make for there own purpose and glory, it’s not a different scene just different from each other but same purpose. God teaches to shed our images pride and ego, just as he shed his image for this song. Don’t choose the image of corruptible man for the image of the incorruptible God. Our ways are of the flesh, pride we sow death...this man has seen this error of his. This man is openly testifying to God.

Everytime i hear this song it reminds me of my friend that took his own life. He played this for me about 15 years ago the first time I heard it. We hung out and drove around blasting Stone Sour. When he found out that he was going to have a little girl and the mom refused for him to see her or be around his daughter, he hung himself. He was around 18 years old. So everytime i hear this song it reminds me of him. He was a good person too. Fly high Charlie 💜

You tube is like a Time Machine, it’s awesome how just watching these videos can throw you right back in that moment you lived so long ago! What a time to be alive!

May I say I'm getting more familiar with Stone Sour and Yes Cory has an amazing voice. He is absolutely talented. I like how he totally absorbs himself in all he sings. I'm very impressed and Love what music I find him in. Little confused at first by the way he completely changes his appearance in some of his videos. I think that's what makes him so good. So I'm going back to add more of his song on my playlist. Anthony's mom.

Every night, looking (through glass) at the simple life I could've had, the one I want and need, in my dreams, because the one I'm living now... I feel stuck, used, lonely, and unable to be who I am. This song was my introduction to this great genre when I needed it in my childhood/teens, and it and all my other favorite bands are helping me through this trap of "life" now. ❤

    LYRICS:
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
Oh, God, it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you
That forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
How do you feel? That is the question
But I forget you don't expect an easy answer
When something like a soul becomes initialized and folded up
Like paper dolls and little notes, you can't expect a bit of hope
So while you're outside looking in, describing what you see
Remember what you're staring at is me
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
All I know is that it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you
That forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
How much is real? So much to question
An epidemic of the mannequins, contaminating everything
We thought came from the heart, but never did right from the start
Just listen to the noises, null and void instead of voices
Before you tell yourself, it's just a different scene
Remember it's just different from what you've seen
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
And all I know is that it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you
That forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
And all I know is that it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you
That forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
And it's the stars, the stars
    That shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars
    That lie to you, yeah-ah
And it's the stars, the stars
    That shine for you
And it's the stars, the stars
    That lie to you, yeah-ah
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
Oh, God, it feels like forever, but no one ever tells you
That forever feels like home, sitting all alone inside your head
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass

    That shine for you, yeah-ah

Oh, and the stars, they lie
