- Sundar Singh (3 September 1889 - 1929?), who was actually commonly referred to as Sadhu Sundar Singh, was an Indian Christian missionary and sadhu. He is believed to have died in the foothills of the Himalayas in 1929.

And some people are condemning the idea of spiritual fatherhood yet Paul speaks clearly of it not only in relation to Timothy who was his apprentice in ministry, but also to the Corinthian church of whom he said, though you have many guardians, yet you have one father in me as I begot you through Christ. God can call you out without being under any spiritual authority or covering as you've seen with Moses and Elijah, and even Melkizedek. When you receive impartation or come under spiritual authority you're known as Benjamin (the meaning of Benjamin is son of my right hand). There are 3 kinds of Prophets: Amos 7:14
1. Those BORN -Preordained from heaven. E.g. Elijah and Jeremiah

3. Those who TRAINED under Prophets (Sons of Prophets)- E.g. Joshua, Elisha
It is worthy to note that, Greatness of a Prophet as regards manifestations and demonstrations of power IS NOT determined by any of these things. For example, Elisha is recorded to have done more signs and wonders than Elijah.

Adekunle Olusanya but at the end of the day I think we're comparing 2 different things. Honor (respect) and power. Elijah didn't die. So honor-wise he has the greater honor. And when you call someone your father, automatically you place yourself under him. You can receive double portion, but you still have a reference point that someone can point to. If you're a pioneer that's greater although God can choose to give a double portion of your oil to a spiritual son. I tell ppl all the time to focus on the assignment God has given them, not power. John the Baptist came in the spirit or annointing of Elijah. That's what Jesus said. Moses followed the spritual bloodline of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Elijah followed persons like Moses. My dear friend that scripture is not interpreted correctly -
Firstly Paul refers to Timothy as HIS son in the faith by clear implication he was claiming to be his spiritual father in the faith.
Also consider these verses:
1 Corinthians 4:15
"For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel"
2 Kings 2:12
Elisha saw it and cried out, "My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!" And he saw Elijah no more Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.
If your interpretation is correct than Paul and Elisha has sinned this of course is not so.

I’m not defending anything, with my understanding the pastor Cleary said "my spiritual fathers” he is black in person and those spiritual fathers are white in completion.
