I love this game, but unfortunately the online play is Dead and I don't have friends to play with. I would kill for an online community that played this game. Such a blast.
What's funny is that Radiohead opinion has evolved a lot over the last year or two. It definitely reflects the frustrating from a lot of the early fans, since the band made a massive (and deliberate) shift after OK Computer. As somebody who liked their early guitar rock era, I had a hard time letting that go. Over the last 12 - 18 months, I have warmed up a lot to their 21st century output, to the point where I'm not even sure I would agree with the opening of this review. I reflected my opinion of Radiohead at the time, but I have certainly evolved my takes on the newer albums. That said, my opinion of Worms WMD is unchanged. It's great!
Defunct Games have been since the original in '95, loving 2 and Armageddon even more before the gradual landslide in quality. I'm now a believer once more!
Loved the Radiohead reference in the intro, and couldn't agree more, either. Great review of game in a genre I typically avoid. May have to try it out though, if it's back to the gold standard
Probably the Worst Worms Game compared to Ultimate Mayhem, Revolution, Battlegrounds, Worms 3D, Worms armaggedon, Worms 2 Armaggedon/reloaded literally all of them being good except a dissapointed one called Worms W.M.D.
+Christopher DeLaCruz Something about it doesn't feel like it's a Worms game. Instead the artwork isn't as good compared to Ultimate Mayhem or Battlegrounds it felt like a Worms game because they looked real and Worms on Worms W.M.D looked like they made out of paper.
+Oddflamesjuice Yes exactly. They could've just took the battlegrounds concept and put it onto Worms W.M.D, conversation doesn't matter now as I've brought W.M.D as this dude convinced me to buy it for not liking it.
Your suggestion that Radiohead peaked in the 90's almost makes the rest of the video irrelevant. A tip; don't lead the video with a comparison that isn't universally relatable, or risk alienating viewers.
Sorry you feel that way, but I lead off my reviews with comparisons and stories that relate to my opinion about the game. I'm not writing about other people's reviews and I don't believe there's much of a chance of my Radiohead story alienating people. It's the kind of thing I've done across a couple hundred video reviews (and literally thousands of written reviews for various publications), and this is the first time anybody has complained.
Nice, your reply is to showboat about how many reviews you've done. Well excuse me mister bigshot review man. Far be it for me to waltz into your echo chamber and tell you what I like and dislike. Color me fully alienated.
Sorry to hear that. My intention was to simply explain why I start reviews that way. Although I disagree with your point, I certainly appreciate your input.

Is it boring to play single player/ is the IA bad?
Great review. I loved the oldschool Worms games and was positively surprised with WMD.
17 years Team 17 I see what you did there Team 17.
Just got into radiohead several months ago, was really suprised by the beginning)

does anyone know if this has local multiplayer for ps4? my gf wants me to get it but i don't wanna buy it if we can't play locally together
Yes, you can play locally. In fact, you can even take turns using the same controller (if you only have one pad).
So much better than IGN reviews.
I actually feel that I understand the game after this. Subbed.
I'm sold on this game. I liked Battlegrounds (that I got for free with Xbox GWG) but this looks even better!
Will this run well on a dual core?
I played through it on PlayStation 4, but it didn't seem especially taxing. The minimum specs suggest you'll be fine with a dual core.
That's good news. Thanks!
the game that finally got it right, I think this might be better than armageddon
Have crossplay?
Sadly, it does not.
Do you need ps plus to play multiplayer?
I believe you do need PS+ to play online multiplayer, but the offline stuff can be played without a subscription service.
@@DefunctGames ok, thank you!
is this cross play ??
Sadly, it is not.
Thanks for reassuring me of my pre-order ^^ looking forward to it with an open mind now :D
If you're a big fan of Worms, then you're going to absolutely love WMD.

p.s great review and I like the voice :)

WHAT ABOUT THE LONG WAIT ON ONLINE

why?

+Christopher DeLaCruz I just like all of them except this one. Worms look weird on this one.
The art style is why you don't like it?..
+Oddflamesjuice Yes exactly. They could've just took the battlegrounds concept and put it onto Worms W.M.D, conversation doesn't matter now as I've brought W.M.D as this dude convinced me to buy it for not liking it.

+lmn He wasn't showboating, he was illustrating that people have never complained before even though he has been doing this for a while.
It did tho
