But Skip made 3 other tweets before that giving his prayers for the player and his family, people never research the entire story they take one clip and run with a narrative and report to the public prematurely
And you simply did not listen they didn’t have a problem with what he said neither did I but that was not the time for anything like that to be said when no one knew what was happening to this man who passed out sometimes you can just hold off on saying anything
Plus, it feels like people didn’t read the last line of his Tweet and totally missed that while worrying about the status of the game was a thing, it should take a backseat to everything else going on.

@@oIRONITEo but he didn’t have to say any of it when he sent that tweet that man’s heartbeat had stopped again those players thought they had lost a teammate and a friend so if you want to send your prayers fine but that was not the time for anything else Shannon not coming the next day other former pro athletes on his own network saying it was wrong shows that it was because they played the game at the highest levels and he did not so even if people were misreading or not understanding what he meant all of that could have been avoided if he just did not hit send

Skip already acknowledged Hamlin’s health before the controversial tweet. Seems like ppl can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. Plenty of ppl wondered how the schedule was gonna turn out too. It wasn’t like the NFL season was canceled
Also ppl forget if there was someone who jumped on subway tracks and hurt themselves, all that ppl are thinking is when is the subway delay over? Where is the empathy there? Almost no one would ever ask to see if that person who jumped is okay, they would only check after stories been published. In the moment all that ppl are thinking is when is the next subway coming I wanna go home.

He tweeted prayers for Hamlin before this tweet and ended the tweet saying the final standings and playoffs suddenly seem so irrelevant. I really don't get the outrage here at all. And listen, I'm far from a skip Bayless fan at all.

The tweet wasn’t needed in the moment. Trying to dress it up at the end by saying it’s irrelevant means he knew the other shit didn’t matter.
It was obvious to anyone with a brain that figuring out the logistics was going to be discussed at some point, but it was a kid literally getting CPR on the field and no one knew if he was alive.
I’d say you may be able to read, but your deductive reasoning and comprehension isn’t great.

But by pointing out its importance and then saying it seems irrelevant is pointing out how truly crazy Hamlins situation was.

Think yall missed the point here. The message wasnt the issue, the messenger was the issue. The arguments between skip and shannon on air are very telling. Society didn’t want to hear shit from skip in that moment based on his track record. If Shannon had the same series of tweets we very well may not be having the same reaction.

TBF, Skip said on air that the tweet was him thinking outloud from the mindset of the NFL since they have typically continued games, what they were gonna do since this is an unheard of situation. But everyone hates Skip so much that they looking for any reason to get him fired. I don’t really like Skip but this has been a misunderstanding.

Danar Hamlin almost died! Technically he actually died on the pitch. The medical team that used CPR and the defibrillator restarted his heart. He is alive because of the defibrillator. I am happy that the NFL and the players expressed empathy for a fallen player.

Cardiac arrest is definitely different. Cutting his stuff off to give CPR is different. Most of those bad hits, a player gives the thumbs up, or eyes open, or something for the crowd to know they’re good. Players get to give them a hand shake or a pat. It’s different.
