- Argus was once ruled by the Second Duumvirate, consisting of Velen and Kil'jaeden. During this time, the sorcerer Thal'kiel and his order of eredar mages, the Wakeners, began using summoning magics to conjure demons from the Twisting Nether. Velen condemned Thal'kiel's new summonings and ordered him never to conjure them again. However, with the support of these entities, Thal'kiel hoped to become the sole ruler of Argus. His trusted apprentice, Archimonde, informed Velen and Kil'jaeden of the planned coup. Archimonde was placed in charge of the attack on the Wakeners' hidden stronghold and decapitated his former master himself. Archimonde would later rise to rule Argus alongside Velen and Kil'jaeden, and the three eredar wisely ruled the planet for many years. Mac'Aree was the most sacred of the cities on Argus.
Eventually, Argus attracted the attention of Sargeras. He offered the eredar a deal: in exchange for their loyalty, he would give them power undreamed of by all races. Kil'jaeden and Archimonde were quick to accept the offer, but Velen had a vision of the future: the eredar would be transformed into demons under the rule of Sargeras. His advice to Kil'jaeden and Archimonde went unheeded, and he desperately sought a solution to this dilemma.
Eventually, Velen was contacted by a race of divine energy beings called the naaru, and he fled with his followers, renaming his people the draenei, or "exiled ones", while Kil'jaeden, Archimonde and the rest of the eredar became the feared, insidious sorcerers and tacticians of the Burning Legion. As the draenei fled, the world was devoured by the Legion. After Argus fell, Sargeras ordered a temple of darkness to be built deep within the planet's core. Little is known of it, for only the titan's most devoted acolytes are given sigils that permit entrance.

Legion was the best time to be a WoW player, it will always have a special place in my heart.
Still can't believe we went to an entirely different planet, with it's own unique textures, assets, music etc. And it was in a patch, not a selling point like TBC. Legion really did go above and beyond.
It used WoD Draenei assets and textures for most of Mac'aree, and a lot of already used green fel-like ones for the other zones. Talk about nostalgia glasses kek.
@@alternatez3225 Well, it's very easy to make a lot of green shit regarding Legion areas, but overall, for a patch, it's still very immersive. The trees and layout of Mac'aree is different, Antorus is a VERY stunning raid to look at, the skyboxes are fucking cool, and Krokuun is actually pretty neat to look at. Not to mention the Music and the cinematics...
@@alternatez3225 Also, the WoD assets were still basically Eredar in terms of design. The point of Mac'aree was that is was not only MUCH bigger than Shattrath (As you could see in the skybox), but it was also the golden jewel of the Eredar (Hence why it's gold lol).
@@preds43 I didn't say anything about it not being pretty. My comment was directed at the ''wow, NEW UNIQUE ASSETS'' part. It's a good looking zone nonthetless
@@alternatez3225 There are new, unique assets though. The trees and some of the other buildings in Mac'aree are new, and there are tons of things in Krokuun and in the Antoran Wastes that are new aswell. Though, you're right when you say that MOST of Mac'aree is a reusage of WoD stuff.
Legion was a gem. I will always love this expansion!
I mis legion
@@wesleyvl8572 Mee too.
I really miss legion :( i even miss bfa :/ I just want to leave the shadowlands
best one in a while :(
Agreed. I leveled most if not all of my alts through legion. Mainly to get the class mounts
16:36 this is just perfect in representing Argus. The music starts low and emotes that feeling of ruin, devastation, tragedy.. before it builds up high and we’re hit with a feeling of complete awe for the advanced civilization that once prospered here. It almost feels like this piece could have been a alternate, darker version for a track that would play if we were on a pre-demonic Argus.
This music gives such a haunting melody considering what it's been through and now left too. It fits this dying world perfectly.
Ah Argus, birthplace of my beloved Draenei. The ancient home of the exiled Eredar. The chapel for the original worshipers of the Naaru. Thank you for this. I look forward to your next video Everness. Dioniss aca.

I stopped playing wow a while ago, but the artistic aesthetics of the game were the main appeal to me since vanilla. The art, the music, the world itself. I love these videos because that's all the focus is. You do a good job with the composition of each scene as well. Keep it up!
There has never been an xPac where the music & zone-aesthetics weren't astonishing.
Now, as for the game play & content....
come back legion :(
I feel you man.. i miss that expansion so much. I remember always after work i'd go to suramar city just sit around somewhere and look and relax, such an amazing zone that i fell in love with.
My favourite Argus zone. I like it because it shows what Argus used to be
It felt so eerie and alien, I loved that zone. Better yet... no green!
same, lucy.
@@foxbittles Ahh I see you're a man of culture as well
That first song breaks my heart when I hear it. Legion wasn’t that long ago but I miss it dearly and make it a task to mount farm on Argus when I log on just to hear this music.
Thank you Velen, for not being tempted by Sargeras' offer, for saving your people and guiding them across the stars till they found their new home on Azeroth with the Alliance.
I haven't been subbed to WoW for a number of years now. But it has a special place in my heart. The Draenei were always my favorite race and I'm glad to see Blizzard is still fleshing out their storyline. At least Blizzard's musicians haven't lost their touch.
legion was really a wonderful expansion
This music is already nostalgic
I left wow at cataclysm, now I hear this and makes me wanna purchase again and sit with my tauren over there just to contemplate the sky and hear the music... amazing
Hi Everness. I appreciate the work you do so much man, thank you a lot!
Im happy draenei wrapped their storyline in the best modern wow expansion!
As someone who mained a draenei since TBC, Argus was an amazing experience. I roleplay as a draenei who was very young during the flight from Argus, so it was a very impactful moment for my character to finally return after 25,000 years and see what the Legion had done to her homeworld.
I listen to your other ambient music all the time when I'm gaming or relaxing. Thanks so much for making one for Argus only, it was one of my favorite sections of WoW content I have ever been through and the music and that feel it created for Argus was a big part of that.
Good health, long life friends.
First time on argus it was so amazing, maybe it wasnt perfect from gaming stage cuz lot of mobs but it has own feeling, feeling on alien planet and the music is great
21:50 really expreses sadness similar to arthas the invincible
Ich vermisse Legion so sehr.. 😢
There's nothing better than your videos for getting in the zone at work. Thanks for all your hard work!! I've been playing WoW off and on since Vanilla, and all of the music is so rich and stunning.
This sounds incredible...oh my god.
I just can't stop listening this EVERYWHERE ! Thanks for the hard work. It's just perfect ! The scenes the sound the editing is on point ! Well done ! Keep going it's just a pleasure to hear ♥ The WoW musics are insane that is for sure ♥♥♥
May the light bless you! Thanks for this compilation, awesome, as always!
I loved Argus
Damn... i miss Legion so bad right now! Mc'aree was my favorite zone of Argus it's just perfection.
#1 WotLK, #2 Vanilla, #3 Legion. The golden trio.
Beautiful! 🤩
Legion was very good!
It's a shame the art division is so much let down by the corporate side of Blizzard.
Thank you! 🤩
Mac’aree
i have waited for this, awesome :)
1:47 this is absolutely the best
Amazing!
Thank you for makking your vidoes dude keep it up
Just thanks. ♥
Very soon we can experience this Epicness once again. Couple of more years when WoW Classic reaches this point. Lol
Do I have to go into this zone to get Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves? If the music is this, I'm in right now.
I get some Game of Thrones vibes from this. Also I played in Argus for a long time getting the Light Forge and Void Elf allied races. I was one of my favorite areas
Hey since you make these type of things for more popular and immersive games I'd definitely recommend the Halo series, specifically Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Reach all of these games have beautiful soundtracks and such immersive sounds that I think you can get some good content out of it, I'd highly recommend it
And destiny 2
2:30 4:23 the goosebumps are so intense I feel I'm growing horns

I love you :)
Can you do all ancient eredars trakcs from this ost and put it together? That would be amazing 🤩
Can you do the monk order hall? I think you forgot it in you're order hall music playlist.
Ignored, not forgot. Maybe at a later date, sure! Check the Wandering Isle video for a similar track list.
@@Everness1 Cool! Thanks!
You know it makes me wonder, after we killed Argus himself that planet just instantly exploded into oblivion. All those remaining broken, the wild life, the sentient dranei constructs, all of them died the moment Argus died...This music truly captures the last moments of a wondrous planet, tis beautiful yet tragic, you can hear the melancholy of losing everything and hoping things were different. This music represents the twilight of Argus as it's slowly vanishing forever.
Wait, so the planet Argus don't really exists anymore, after the events with Sargeras at Antorus etc.?? That would be very tragical and sad for the Draenei, oh man...
Man'ari propaganda. After Argus the Titan was destroyed and Sargeras sealed by the remaining power of the Pantheon, the rift connecting Argus (the planet) and Azeroth was closed. The planet itself is still out there, still covered in demons and fel goop. Only now it's nothing more than a lifeless husk, with no hope for any sort of recovery. I mean, it was kinda doomed when we got there, but now it's doomed for real real and not for play play. Fun fact: we left the remaining Krokul on that world because they wanted to stay and try to rebuild their home. Wait, that wasn't fun at all...
I mis legion
more songs before cataclysm
my name is legion.........hammerfall
I still cant search a original music from legion in 31:26. Anyone know ?
The final patch of legion versus reusing two old zones with hardly any changes in bfa...
Love you boo boo!
😃
could u maybe do a music and ambience for sims 2 for nintendo DS, it has some really great music, the graphics are potatoe but i still would love to see it , there is nothing like this here on youtube
That is an incredibly specific request. Does the DS version of Sims 2 have a different soundtrack from the regular PC one?.. I was planning on making a couple of Sims 4 videos in the future, so maybe I should look into it. Can’t promise anything.
@@Everness1 yea it has. It has also a very different eerie kinda scary ambience not like the normal sims games, u can look the soundtracks up here on youtube, just search for sims 2 DS soundtrack
RIP Legion, especially 7.3. 7.3 was the best that WoW has ever been. 7.3.5 sucked
The prologue of bfa was so damn weak, just like the expansion
Whoever it is that makes music for WoW these days has no clue what the word "ambience" means.
Usually I would agree with this sentiment, but when the music is this good, I don't think that matters anymore.
You’re delusional
"Whoever it is that makes music for WoW these days" there's no "one" person who makes music for WoW, there's many composers.
