Wow. I didn't know they were still going. I saw them on the Hit and Run tour in the early 80s. They sounded good then and they sound better now. Love the version of Bomber. They are the only band worthy of doing a Motorhead song.
I saw them back in the 80s at Lyceum ballroom supported by Tank and dedringer , Lemmy made a guest appearance and jammed with them. And yes they still sound great! 🥰
@@laurencegoulty3196 I saw them in Portsmouth in the early 80s. Hit and Run tour. I think the support was Tank but not sure. I had the T shirt until recently but I can't find it now. I waited around after the concert and hot all their signature on a single cover. Lucky you seeing Lemmy. What a bonus! Must have made your day!
There was a period in the early 80`s when Girlschool seemed to be supporting nearly every band I went to see ...they were a hard working band back then and plainly still are ...wonderful to see the remaining members are still out there having fun
Saw them live at the Marquee in London back in the 80's. After the gig they all mixed with the crowd having dinks, more like a party than a gig. Stood chatting to Lemmy whilst he played a fruit machine, was an incredible night - Nice to see the ladies haven't lost that touch and can still belt these hits...
Saw them at Sonic Rock Solstice Festival about 10 years ago in Wales. They were on the way to France but stopped off to play a midnight set and they looked shattered when doing a sound check but man their really turned it on when they started playing their set, super professional and real pros, they played a killer set!
So cool, my first live band I'd ever seen back in 82! GIRL SCHOOL! 🤟😛🤟 Edmonton Alberta with Scorpions and Iron Maiden!!!! Fucking sweet! I was 12 yrs old no fuckin wonder I play guitar today lol! Thanks for that show! And the culturing!

I remember queuing for their autographs at I think the then HMV on Northumberland Street, Newcastle, and the line went right round the building. Got my autographs and then joined the back of the queue again. Think I had the hots for Kelly Johnson at the time. Must have been 1981ish.

Buena esa por las chicas de la escuela como siempre siguen sonando maravillosas como siempre WOW impactante por ellas el tiempo no ha pasado las amo❤️🇻🇪
Girlschool should have been the first band I ever saw live. They were support to Uriah Heep in early 1980 and I had tickets for their Swansea show. But then I got last minute tickets for Queen at the NEC in November 1979 and they then became my first live band ever :-) Still enjoyed Girlschool and Heep massively though.
First saw this band as support to Uriah Heep at the Birmingham Odeon way back when ..I miss Kelly gone way too soon. I got her attention at Aston Uni when they were touring with Tank and another band whose name escapes me when she wanted to introduce Yeah Right and I just kept shouting Yeah Right! Fun days
I didn't know they were a five piece , now. They still sound great. I saw them play to about 50 punters 8 or 10 years ago , and they rocked the roof off the joint.
they were playing at Brikenhead Stairways in the 90,s and we practaically played pool with them most of the night till they went onstage then when they came off we carried on playing pool...got bevvied obviously, brilliant band, brilliant people !
Lemmy’s darlings back in the day. Didn’t know they’re a 5 piece nowadays. Check out the other all girls NWOBHM band : Rock Goddess. Awesome time, early eighties !

They deserve bigger arenas. Still awesome.
