It has a real flame maple top but it's only a thin veneer. I had to set mine up properly. Almost all the hardware was loose including tuners and the output jack. Truss rod was loose. Fretboard was as dry as a popcorn fart. Frets were leveled well. Fret ends were smooth but frets needed further polishing. Intonation was ok for those strings. Neck had too much relief from the too loose truss rod. Still had to drop the string height quite a bit. Put on a Graph-Tech nut since I went to a lighter 9-46 string gauge so I would have had to do much of the set-up work anyways. You could pay that much for a fender neck alone that can't outplay most Ibanez necks. At .004 neck relief and string clearance of 1.0mm on the high "E" with 1.25mm on the Low "E" there is no buzz or notes choking out on bends whatsoever. And since the neck is the business end of all guitars, you could do way worse. I plan on replacing the tuners with D'Addario/Planet waves locking tuners that also even cut your string. I can work with the Quantum pick-ups. Eventually a set of Lundgren M6 would be nice. They are about the hottest that can still get really nice cleans while retaining good note separation at high gain.
Love the video, very detailed❤
Glad you liked it!!
Im planning to buy this guitar but im confused which one is better fixed bridge or Floyd Rose
I love this guitar! I bought it 2 years ago... No major issues. Even though it looks like a metal guitar, it is very versatile. When choosing a guitar one must consider '3 Ps' - Pretty (looks), Playability and Price. I think this guitar checks all the boxes. I didn't find any tuning issues except if downtuning below drop C. Don't worry about the pickups and tone. It is an excellent guitar which you can mod up in future.
Just seeing this beaut of a guitar makes me want to pick it up and play. Cheers!
Wonderful to hear and thanks for sharing 👍 🙏
Currently this particular model of ibanez is overpriced 39980 not value for money 🥲🥲
Wow that is expensive
I have owned that guitar for three years now and it has no issues. It plays and feels great. No neck or fret issues or electronic issues.
OK good to know.
does it go out of tune easily?
@@Ryan-yc2yf not really.
@@athathoththegreat3901 would u reccomend this guitar for black metal and grind core
@@Ryan-yc2yf yes if you know how to use an eq and a tone knob.
Beautiful guitar ❤️ I want these guitar
They are beautiful thanks
Excellent video great info👍
Thanks 👍
So I have The 7 string version of this which is RGA742 FM . Its been 2 months now since I got it and due to the weather , the pickup have already started rusting along with bridge and volume knob .
Can actually image. I just got the Cort 7 string and at 54k it is the best 7 string I have ever played. World-class! Ibanez is not a brand I would recommend for mid tier 7 strings. The Prestige or Iron Label range are amazing but below that have loads of issues.
Can you kindly review a Cort CR250 FM electric guitar?
Planning on it but right now we have a load of other guitars planned.
The pickups sounded really weak. I have heard Cort makes some superb electric guitars in the same price range with good sounding pickups. Still excellent review and yes Ibanez should definitely reduce the amount of letters in the model names.
Right on!
He didn't really use any good distortion, it sounded like a fuzz, plus it sounded like he had the tone way down. I own this guitar and it sounds great.
@@athathoththegreat3901 somtime you can get poor pickups with mass produced guitars and the playthrough is always done through a VST so negates distortion variables. have been very happy woth the way they present their videos so am sure it was the guitar only.
Standard sounds for all demos so no bias. It is true that many a time with mass produced instruments, the same model can sound way different.
I remember playing this..
Awesome Playing 🤘🤘🤘
Excellent 👍
Thank you 😊 🙏
Can you suggest me any electric guitar??? At this price range
For a great budget instrument check out the Magna range from procraftindia.com
