Metric measurements. If he used imperial he would have Canada, brits, and Americans watching.
@@LoneWolfRanging He’d need to talk a bit slower and with fewer syllables too. 😉
@@LoneWolfRangingbritain has no problem with metric

Just used this video to build our pergola here in Texas. Easy to follow, even if our vocabulary is a little different. Cheers, mate!
We used it too, only ours has a sway on it, not sure what's gone wrong 😔
@@christinaedwards3806I’d say you’re posts aren’t set deep enough in concrete, or the earth around them is too soft

This is a great video, thanks for sharing
Some men are so talented with a measuring tape all they need is a single blade of grass to run accurate measurements!
Right wtf was that about!
There was a nail in the ground
@@jamescoupland667 but it was still funny
😂
And without the need of checking right angles.
Holy moly... That is lot of info.. thanks man... Keep sharing🤗
Those stringlines are to die for..good job sir
Awesome!!! Thanks for the lesson!
Great videos on how to.
Brilliant.
Excellent job! I wander whether the posts -size- are too flexible transversally. Thanks a lot
Is there a material list for this? Any plans? That would be very helpful.
Thank you, So much.
What is this guy hooking his tape measure too in the grass? This guy is magic.
haha, exactly what I saw..... then, I realized he had a nail already in place..... bummer!
Dang I never saw the nail, way to ruin the magic for me. Lol

Here are some great woodworking plans that you can try out: HootWood. com
a nail is already sent in the grass before he used the spray can.
Nice work and nice video. Both like a pro 👍
greagt vid mate, really enjoyed. ....might have a go myself, subscribed
Hi there, thanks for the great video! I just wondered something, I want to build timber planter boxes, can I pour concrete in the bottom of them and add posts to build a pergola from there?
Excellent. Thank you very much.
Thank for the video made my life much easier...
Very good video actually amazing the way you work your self so easily . Thanks for your time my friend keep uploading videos.
Seems rather simple I love it, I'd love to make one of these :D
I like your tutorial,✋to the point.
Great
Good stuff. Very helpful.
the spray can also shots out a nail or something similar wow where can you get these marvelous product
You make that look easy. Looks good.
Hi Karrina,
If you wanted to put posts in your planter boxes to hold a pergola you would need a lot of concrete in the bottom of them, at least 450mm deep, so that would make your planters very high. You would also need to have drain holes through the concrete to allow water to escape, so all in all you could but it would look a little strange. It would be best to concrete posts into the ground the build your planters around the posts. Hope that helps.
SR
Good job
Thank you this was very helpful for my build.
Glad to hear it Angelina 👍 ^Matt
Nice work and well done
Great video, London
Thankyou for the video. All my neigbord make a gazebo on his Lands, I want a big pérgola to have different garden. Thankyou one more time, thank to you I have a different dream.
Good Job well done.
Might suggest filling the post hole concrete approx 2 in. above grade (using sono-tube collars for trim). Purpose of this is to allow water runoff and prevent pooling and rot of the uprights over time.
H5 posts won't rot, it's treated for submersion in water/flooded areas.
hi really helpful and informative , anything on wooden railway sleepers for a patio etc
Great job mate!!!
This guy knows what he's doing! Pro :)
Fantastic video. Excellent demonstration with great detail and visuals.
By the way, as a Bostonian, I loved the accent. :)

Great video, il sit back and watch the guy next week from the sofa 👍🤪
I've got a build to do like this, but it's not on grass. It's on tarmark. We're using metal fence post holders, what would be the best way to make sure they do not break free of thier holdings in strong wind? (They will be bolted in place.)
I never been to NZ , every thing I see and hear about it , I like a lot , would love to visit one day . The other thing is I love building , been doing it for a long time , so buddy job well done , easy and not over thought . Also turned out very nice . I’m a new subscriber, see you around the YT .
Thanks for the video
Wow! He’s such a pro! 👏💥💯
This is the best DIY video I've seen!

Great Video! Est. cost in US Dollars for material? how many hours of labor too
That looked easy 👍
Excellent 👌.🇬🇾
It's been long since i saw someone on youtube use a real hammer 🔨
Great video. You know, if we really wanted to make America great again, we'd get smart like the rest of the world and use the metric system.
We do in surgery. Not sure why we don’t do it everywhere.
Yea so smart this guy put flowers around the post . Yea watering them and the sprinkler system is not going to rot that pegola out
I have seen some helpful construction video on RUclips, from the States.
Metric system sucks and confusing inches are soooo simple
@@jasonnester9514so confusing? all you have to do is be able to count. Smh
Wonderful
