Nilza Angmo seems to have undermined the role of women in the Ladakhi society.First of all the fact that you are standing on a flatform n speaking is thanks to your mother. We have Doctor Landol,Ama Tsomo Munshi a dedicated teacher of her times,Ama tsecho lamo a great singer. The women's alliance has been active for decades now.The role of every mother in a household of a Ladakhi society has been like no other compared to the rest of India. The fact that female infanticide, child bride, dowry system does not exist in our society speaks volumes of the role of women in our society

    • @stanzinladakhi7318

Agreed but what about the system of Raktak isn't it counted as dowry

    • @TheStanzinable

She just brought light to the reality that is , if you a woman in your household and if you are not treated differently , which doesn't mean that you are being beaten by your parents. Equality has to be more than that. It has be in the mindset , the fact that a daughter is expected to go work and then come back home look after the kids and also do all the chores, while the son has no accountability. Anyone of us married today will be expected to take up several roles, while that cannot be said for men. If you or your family has achieved that , I highly appreciate how a ladakhi household has come about but is that really the case? It's not undermining the women who have achieved a lot , it's about an everyday woman. Why does women empowerment have be about women who have achieved great heights, why can't it be about an average woman?

    Happy Womens Day to All❤️
Yes the equality starts from the home and parents have crucial role in shaping their childs future its true parents totally rely on teachers but the basic morality comes from the home within. Yes last was true and there should be strict investigate by the police👍

Don't try to find out negativity about others. just try to be positive and we should proud of her instead of abusing her. She did many great works during her duty in Srinagar. And will do in future. All villagers of Srinagar owed her. she is a very young dedicated honest DSP. I am asking one thing you are writing about cultural and rangskat. why you didn't write or comment in the Ladakhi language. first you do your home work and make sure able to write a comment about like Mam Nilza Wangmo. ok

Before empowering others you need to learn speaking pure Ladakhi.

@@Angchok20 But why do you insist that she needs to learn the language before she talks about women empowerment? Why is that important here? Why can't be learning the language after , inbetween? Why are you demeaning her for not knowing the language? Be respectful.
