Got a scam letter with purchase agreement for my house, cash. I Didn't sign but wrote him asking all kinds of questions. He responded but didn't answer any of my questions . Gave me phoney license numbers which could not be verified. I think he stole someone's personal info and listed as if he was that person. I'm going to report to Arizona corporation commission and Arizona realtors association.

Run into these all the time, always ask to see the place first before filling out any "application" even if it's free, your personal info is more valuable than $25.

I called a phone number in a CL ad for a home rental. A guy with an Indian accent answered...sounded like he was in a call center. He wanted to run my credit before doing anything else. I asked if there was a charge for the credit check...he said something to the effect that there would be a $1 charge. This was very odd, so I hung up. I'm not sure exactly what they were doing, but it was clearly a scam.

The $1.00 charge is to just get your credit card number, and usually the customer service is in Belize. No way to stop them from removing all your money, unless you catch it time. 10/24/2023

​I’m so glad I didn’t really make any big mistakes when I started my investment journey last year. So far I’ve just been sticking small amounts of money into companies I’m sure will continue to exist for the next five years and if the stocks do well, I hold on. If not, I reinvest the bad ones into the good ones so I can get higher gains. I gained about $9.5k from putting in $4k into NVIDIA earlier this year so that was pretty nice.
