Great sim and all, but most motorcoaches are automatic and they have a small digital control panel for the transmission and a toggle switch to lift the tag axle off the ground for tighter turns in more confined spaces.

Man I have a lot of hours in ETS2, but I haven't played since ATS was released. Last expansion I played was the Scandinavian DLC! They're great when you just want to chill with some tunes, but most of the time I end up trying to get to my destination as quickly as possible, and all my chill literally goes out the window.

@@ProjectSimRacing I've been thinking about that annoying sound .. it has to be a sound file with the mod. Perhaps if you can find it, you can rename the original, and create an empty file of the same name so the mod doesn't error out when the sound is called, or if you have the capability, open the original, and zero out the volume .. just some thoughts. There should always be volume controls with this sort of mod imo ... it would put me off using this mod altogether.
@RubberStig, thank you so much for the tip, mate! Unfortunately, it's not the mod; I get this warning sound with the original trucks as well. They introduced this as a feature along with the warning and autobrake system.

Thanks for the suggestion, @Ospreyl-! I actually used to upload a lot of Snowrunner content when I first started the channel, before upgrading to the triple 55-inch OLED TVs. The challenge with Snowrunner is that it doesn't look good on triple screens.. 🙄

Been saying it for a while, but I think OMSI 2 modders should be turning their attention to ETS2. Maybe start porting some of their older maps/buses to the game idk but ETS2 is a much better, modern and future-proof platform for bus simulation

The only edge that'd give ETS2 is its map being suited for coach buses. BeamNG already beats both in terms of actual bus physics and interactability. West Coast is big enough for Metropolitan style play with transit buses.
All heavy vehicles in BeamNG is way better than ETS2. The rigid-trucks, semi-trucks and buses are way more accurate than anything from SCS or OMSI.

It actually comes with 3M double-sided tape for easy mounting. However, since I often switch setups for different types of videos, like F1, rally, or GT3, I opted to craft my own mount from aluminum. This way, I can securely attach it using the screws on the wheel base for more flexibility. But for a more permanent setup, the included 3M tape is definitely strong enough to hold it in place 😊"

I know this is from two weeks ago and last we chatted asked you a few things.
New question. I noticed when your not racing you're not wearing gloves but when you are you do.
Can't trust what you read on the internet so what's your take. Will driving without gloves degrade leather wheels or should they usually be worn?
I can't seem to get used to the added thickness of the gloves even though it's not a lot.
Indeed, the longevity of your wheel's material, especially if it's Alcantara, can significantly benefit from wearing gloves. Alcantara tends to wear down and get a bit grimy from the oils and sweat on your hands over time. If your wheel is made of high-quality leather, it might withstand wear better, but gloves can still help maintain its look and feel.
I understand the issue with the added thickness of gloves. It can feel awkward at first, but I suggest starting with very thin, lightweight racing gloves designed for sim racing to minimize that feeling. Over time, your hands will adapt to the sensation, and you might even find it enhances your grip and control during intense racing sessions. Plus, it adds an extra layer of realism to the experience!😉

Some years ago, when I tried to play bus mods, it was only a mask, so I wasnt able to go backwards because the bus (a.k.a truck) use to uncouple.
Does this still happening?
