Everyone forgets about helping single fathers, too. Help single parents, not just single mothers. It's about helping the children.

💥 You have challenged my heart with vs 13. “Don’t close my heart to the cries of the poor”…I have put some cash in my car and I am prepared to give to a vet in need at a stop light, another practical way to show compassion & mercy that you have mentioned you implement. Giving to single parents, another great way to show mercy & love! ❤Vs 26, ”…the secret the generous man has learned: extravagant giving never leads to poverty.” I’ve always tithed & given offerings at church, but I am challenged today to be Christ to those in my daily walk.❤

One ministry recommended carrying in your car : water bottles, white tube socks, granola bars & maybe some kind of encouraging note in a gallon bag to hand out to the homeless.

I had a situation today where I thought someone was there because of their poor choices.. and pastor Bill addressed that and he said “but if it weren’t for the mercy of God we would all be stuck in our choices” it’s so true. It’s only the Lord that set me free from injustice. This revelation blessed me deeply. Praise the Name of Jesus!

A stronghold in peoples thinking becomes a stronghold in behavior....As a man thinks in his heart so is he. we need to align our heart with God by believing God instead of the world. Taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. A stronghold is any area that people trust in other tham God. What does God say, what does God say that our thoughts are arguing with. Where does the voice of the world argue with God. We have to know what God says before we can know if we are walking contrary to it. When we find a contradiction in our thinking and find ourselves in a crossroad. Let God be true and every man a liar.

I disagree when you agree one's choice to be in poverty. It is not true it's our choices. Maybe for some people but you can't say all are like that. Do you think I want to choose to be in poverty? I work hard all my life, full time with overtime and sometimes with 2 jobs. I am still struggling..

We choose poverty inadvertently. It’s not about how hard you strive in the natural to not be in poverty but rather an issue of the mind. It’s about what we’ve come into agreement with. It’s a matter of the renewed mind. The mind of Christ. Look deeper. Not enough time here to fully explain but hope you gain the victory in understanding.

You are correct, it is not something you have chosen for yourself. Most of the people who reply to these have never walked through anything for God. They regurgitate what they hear sunday morning and think it is the way the world is. You have done nothing wrong and are doing nothing wrong as its not something you asked for. But if i could encourage you to pray to find out whether someone in you family line from years gone by has made a legal spiritual agreement that has caused this circumstance. Try and get a hold of Robert Henderson's Book on the courts of heaven. blessings J
