I wasn’t sure what to title this one, but I stumbled upon Clarisseinthecloud’s video & felt inspired ☀️ love the idea of a lifestyle glow-up, from the inside out… I hope you enjoy this one, friends!
Wow! I cannot believe how in sync we are with the challenges we're both facing! Thank you so much for sharing your onward and upward energy in beating these bad habits - feeling inspired.😀
For meal planning I’ve adopted a bit of a system to keep variety available, but somewhat predictable for the kiddos. Monday - soup and grilled cheese Tuesday- “taco Tuesday”/ but really any Mexican dish Wednesday- pasta, garlic bread and salad Thursday- rice base dinner (usually some Asian or Indian cuisine) Friday- kids choice (we have 4, so one kid gets to pick once a month) Saturday- family pizza movie night Sunday- classic Sunday dinner (protein, veggie and potato + dessert)
I love this! I do this for breakfasts and it’s been a total game changer- Mondays overnight oats Tuesdays frozen homemade pancakes Wednesday- Dave’s killer bagels with cashew cream cheese Thursday- millet porridge overnight in instant pot Friday- Greek yogurt parfait Saturday- egg “French toast” Sunday- homemade frozen waffles For the waffles and pancakes I change it up every couple of weeks but always made with high protein like Greek yogurt or cottage cheese! Thought I’d share as it’s been such a game changer for mornings 😊
its really encouraging to see the awareness of phone usage nowadays as i too have been feeling convicted of it. your priorities shift as a parent and you tend to notice these things more, esp as your child grows and can comprehend and ask for attention. the past few weeks, i have really utilized the focus and downtime features on my phone where nothing is available to me after “work hours” until 9pm after my daughter has gone to sleep.. and by that time, im too tired to scroll. it has helped so much in my mood, my daughters mood and just enjoying our evenings together as a family. and now i find myself not reaching for my phone at all once i am done with work for the day. thank you for sharing!! was so happy to watch this this morning and feel encouraged!
My hack for the constant urge to check the phone is to get a small book of short inspirational quotes and keep it in the spot where you usually have your phone at home. Put the phone in a drawer with the sound on so if you get a call you hear it. But each time you go over to the phone to mindlessly check for messages, instead read a quote from the book. It's like getting a text message from the universe instead.
Perfect fall weather for this type of video.. Had myself a hot cup of maple pecan hot coffee and a banana for breakfast.. Went to my physical therapy, came home and fixed chili beans for lunch.. So I sit outside with my sweater on with my cozy blanket and ate my chili on this chilly rainy day outside watching the leaves fall and listening to the rain!!! It’s been raining all day.. But i reminded myself to take Lola my dog on a walk with me while I listened to some classical fall music and started laundry while I watched a little bit of virgin river, then I saw where you uploaded so I started watching your video and made myself a pumpkin spice latte and ate a slice of pumpkin pie..next on my list of fun is reading my cozy fall book and fix a couple pizza’s for dinner and watch the kids play on trampoline til it gets dark!!!
Sadly at school! But literally can’t wait to watch later in my bed!! Love your videos Michelle and how uplifting and motivating they are even when you’re being real and raw. They help me in so many ways! ❤
My son just turned 1 and I also have felt VERY convicted about my own phone usage. I was starting to get anxiety around 1 year old milestones and development and was always googling and trying to find things to worry about when there was absolutely no need and my son was doing great! So this is extreme but I had my husband set a password lock setting on my safari app so I cannot use the internet AT ALL on my phone. I'm required to get out my laptop and usually that takes more time and effort so I lose the urge altogether. If I end up liking this I might keep it going. Good luck mama we're all only doing the best we can :)
I love how the few women I listen to on youtube seem to be hitting all the same life stages with me. I literally only listen to you and Kristin Johns on youtube :D. I was very encouraged by this video, friend. I'm right here in the early stages of parenting with you, and it is so hard and so wonderful. Thank you for sharing some of the habits you are working towards, and some of the things you find to be important. It is nice to hear different perspectives that are just that, not pushy, but helpful insight. Thanks for the encouragement!
I really love this video, it reminds us to take a pause once in a while, reevaluate our routines and our habits. 😊 I liked your point about over consumption. We don’t have to spend money to enjoy the holidays. Keeping life simple …..🙏🏻
Love this! I have a 13 month old and I try to have the book I'm reading out in the main room, so when he's playing I can reach for my book and sit on the couch near him. That way you don't always have to be playing with baby *or* doing chores, you can still have a little rest time without it being on a screen.
Highly recommend the brick to help with anything that pulls you into your phone! It’s been such a game changer for me. It’s a device you can put somewhere in your house (we have it on the fridge) and you can customize what you are bricked from on your phone. You have to intentionally and physically tap your phone to brick and unbrick. It’s very useful in breaking habits and also allowing you to still have your phone on you for things that don’t suck you in- like taking pictures for example. Loving all your content!
I always log out of socials on my phone when I want to avoid scrolling! I usually log out a few hours before bed and stay logged out until few hours after I wake up to stop the mindless scrolling 😅 works really well for me!
You are doing GREAT Michelle! I don't yet have kids and find it hard enough to keep up with healthy habits. I've watched your content for a while now and its cool to see you continuously get back on track when you feel you falter. I bet you don't feel like you're doing super well all the time but it seems like you are killing it while being a mom! hope you feel so much joy as you continue!
I am loving this fall weather where I can go on walks with my son in the mornings. I use my phone to play music during the walk but at home I sometimes use it too much as well. Leaving it somewhere yoy won't grab it all of the time is a great idea! I will leave mine by my bedside upstairs to focus on my son more
What you said about working on your actions first by not turning to your phone when you’re bored before teaching your son not to turn to the tv when he’s bored… oof. That’s convicting to me for sure because suddenly I have a 2yr old who asks says times a day, “show!” Thank you for sharing, I needed to hear that.
This is cool !. Hope you have an amazing day ! , don't overwork yourself , please have a good amount of sleep to you, your friends, and family too Michelle !! :)).
Our daughter is just a few weeks older than your son and we LOVE baby storytime at our library! I also worked up the courage to go without a friend. I think the thing to know is that it is OKAY if you miss a week. Most people do. It's ok if you show up late. Everything goes!!! :)
This video came at a perfect time. I also would like to do better with these things and this gave me a lot of motivation to figure out how to be more present.
It's funny how like 2 years ago I commented in one of your videos saying that i like your videos eventhough our lifes are so different. But now i am on the same phase of life as you with my 15 month doughter in Italy...same habits...same mindset...
For the posture/joint pain: be careful how you stand holding baby as he gets heavier. Standing with one foot slightly further forward than the other but still about shoulder width apart can keep you from popping or tucking too far and making any problems worse. I do it now with my nearly 40lb toddler when I hold him and it makes a huge difference. Also picking up baby with your leg power and close to your body vs leaned too far over or out too far from your body and only using back and arms.
Watched this as I finally got my evening steps in on the treadmill. Yes girl!! Healthy boundaries with the phone is what I’m working on too! How am I supposed to teach my kids if I’m constantly checking my phone!
One of the things that helped me with my phone sounds counterintuitive but it’s actually using my Apple Watch. If I have it on then I’m going to get notified if a message or call comes through and I can glance and see if it’s important. It eliminates needing to check messages and calls which leads to mindless scrolling. I can then put my phone away knowing I haven’t missed anything.
I have been on the same journey of trying to use my phone less, as I realized my scrolling time has gone insane. One thing that helps me is to put a restriction on some apps, for example, instagram 30 minutes oer day. I can still check it, but once the phone blocks it, that's it! Currently reading a super good book on this topic called "Stolen Focus", it's very good
Not in a season of motherhood, but i've tried to have less phone time by reading my Bible more and also getting back into reading books and turning cooking/baking and household tasks into a hobby rather than a chore
In regards to the phone I recommend the book digital minimalism he writes such a compelling book it honestly changed my life. Practical tips on how to change the habit. Also seems like you would like the book the opt out family. Her argument is that we can’t decrease we have to completely get rid of social media which I think is likely true
Please don’t compare yourself to others… you are so beautiful and perfect 🤍 “Comparison is a thief of Joy” I really admire you and love your style! I’ve been watching your vlogs a lot for inspiration :) I even told my mom you’re my favorite vlogger 🥰 lol
Michelle, in part of the video you were putting on make up ( I think foundation). Could you share what product you’re using? I loved how it still looks natural and gave you a glow but still has pretty good coverage
I have started trying to get into content creation, and I have a two month old. I always feel like I’m not being present. I can relate to what you’re saying so closely. How do you do content creation but also remain present in your baby’s life? I would also love to hear the different things people share on how they stay off their phone less!!
Good morning Michelle! I just want to let you know that I look forward to seeing your vlogs every week. Your videos bring me so much joy, peace, and happiness. Thank you for everything you do ❤
I made my first mom friends at my first son's swim class. It turned out she went to my church, too, and she got me plugged into an amazing moms group there! It's a lot like MOPS, if you have one of those in your area. Highly recommend for mom friends!
Loved this video! I’m going to get my hands on a copy of simplicity parenting because I definitely need that kind of advice. Would love to know where your knit top is from as well!
I’ve recently been trying to lessen my social media usage and deleted essentially all apps from my various devices. I do love instagram though so I deleted it from my home screen so I have to actively search for it and now before I go on, I try to check in with myself for a second as to why I’m going on, I.e., am I just bored or is there something I want to actually check on?
Try drinking more water Michelle, that’ll really help with your joints in the morning, our bodies need far more water than most people think… Connor is so precious, many blessings to you and your family ❤️
Thanks for this calming encouraging video ❤😊🌻 I was wondering what the cod recipe was?… I am someone who does not like fish but want to incorporate it more into my diet
I loved this video! 💕 Would you mind sharing the name of the song about moving on that was in the section of video where you were working out? It’s so peaceful & lovely!
My husband and I have an iPad that we have our social medias on! We deleted all social media from our phones. Since I don’t have social media on my phone, I tend not to be on my phone much at all throughout the day! And when needed or wanted, I’ll get on my iPad.
Any chance you can make a weekly dinner vlog? I’m struggling to find healthy, good, and quick meals to make with a 7 month old! I trust your opinions so I know you must have some good recipes!!
Loved your sweet video as always💕 After watching your interactions with Kash (hopefully I’m spelling it right haha) I’ve been thinking for a while on adopting a GR puppy but I’ve never adopted a puppy before and I’m a little nervous. Since I live in the Houston area, I was wondering if maybe you had some tips on where to start and how this experience was for you. Thank you ☺️
I’ve been trying to put my phone up on our bookshelf when my baby is awake, not go on it until I pray during his first nap, and limit myself to one RUclips video a day!
Ahh Michelle!! I love this so much and I am so obsessed with your content. Thank you for always being such an inspiration to me and so many other people. You are so fun to watch and I love seeing you be a mom to Connor. He is getting so big and doing so many things. Thank you for always being so real and honest with us and I love that about you. Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day 💕
Something to think about-You might want to get evaluated by a chiropractor to see if the joint issues are pregnancy recovery related. All of that weight in one area kinda throws off your alignment and then when the baby is born your body sometimes needs a little help sliding back in place. You’re pretty young for joint pain. ❤ Give yourself some grace! It takes time when you’re mommin!
Michelle your vlogs makes me so calm and peaceful, Thank you so so so much for making such a wonderful beautiful vlogs for us and I will always be your supportive🥹💫💗
Thank you for sharing this. I love this tips and Its giving me the motivation that I need to be more intentional about my routines and habits and physical health.
I actually got my husband to make a password for my socials and only he knows it. That way if I need to access my account I still can but I can log out during the day if I want to minimize screen time! I also only have socials logged in on my laptop
This is a great video, Michelle! As a mom to a 1 year old, your content is very relevant to me and I really relate to your topics you want to improve in life.
Also if you find any tips for using phone. I try and check Instagram 3 times a day and limit how long for. Delete the app and the download again. Put on downtime on iPhone. But I struggle too ❤
Michelle, I’ve watched your videos since your pre college days and when you moved to NY I would often see you and Aidan studying at this coffee shop on UES ( but was too scared to say hello 😅) And I just wanted to express just how grateful I am to you and your channel, I’ve definitely grown up watching your videos and learning from them. Still listen to your podcast as I am navigating my 20s myself ❤ have a great week!!
MAGAZINES. Magazines are my best advice to not be on your phone as much. Even if the magazine are filled with information you already know it's fun to look at the pictures & refresh your memory on some tips/ tricks and topics. Then when the magazine has served it's purpose you can use them for crafts or donate them to the art classes. Also, you're doing great just by being self-aware!
I wasn’t sure what to title this one, but I stumbled upon Clarisseinthecloud’s video & felt inspired ☀️ love the idea of a lifestyle glow-up, from the inside out… I hope you enjoy this one, friends!
A great, fun idea :)
Wow! I cannot believe how in sync we are with the challenges we're both facing! Thank you so much for sharing your onward and upward energy in beating these bad habits - feeling inspired.😀
I’ve been in such a funk because I’m not prioritizing self care and good habits/routines. This was the perfect inspiration. 👏🏼
you’re not alone! ❤️

Digital Minimalism is a book I 100% recommend reading if you’re interested in being more intentional with your phone and other tech in your life!
New mom too! (7 months pp) and I can relate to every one of these!!
Michelle, in part of the video you were putting on make up ( I think foundation). Could you share what product you’re using? I loved how it still looks natural and gave you a glow but still has pretty good coverage
I set my phone to black and white (bedtime mode on mine) and it has helped me so much with phone time. X
Thank you for everything you do ❤
Love your videos!
I love watching your vlogs!! I always watch them in the morning with my coffee and was so excited to see another video this morning ❤
I made my first mom friends at my first son's swim class. It turned out she went to my church, too, and she got me plugged into an amazing moms group there! It's a lot like MOPS, if you have one of those in your area. Highly recommend for mom friends!
I don't see the cod recipe!! I would also love it if you could share a banana pancake recipe!! 🙏🙏
I love seeing you talk about post partum and motherhood. would love to see more of that content! ❤️
Loved this video! I’m going to get my hands on a copy of simplicity parenting because I definitely need that kind of advice. Would love to know where your knit top is from as well!

Hi Michelle! Could you share the lemon dill cod recipe? Looks so good😀
I loved this video!
I trust your opinions so I know you must have some good recipes!!
this is a great idea! but honestly I keep it super simple because he’s pretty hit or miss with solids 🫣
Love your videos ❤
Michelle - I am a 52 year old Mom with a 17 year old daughter & all I can say is I hope she is a lot like you as an adult❤
Where are your bedroom blackout curtains from? I am looking for some just like these :)
Thank you ☺️
I need to work on my phone addiction as well!
I’ve been trying to put my phone up on our bookshelf when my baby is awake, not go on it until I pray during his first nap, and limit myself to one RUclips video a day!
Could you link the pumpkin muffin recipe?
Ahh Michelle!! I love this so much and I am so obsessed with your content. Thank you for always being such an inspiration to me and so many other people. You are so fun to watch and I love seeing you be a mom to Connor. He is getting so big and doing so many things. Thank you for always being so real and honest with us and I love that about you. Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day 💕
so kind of you, thank you Isabella! ❤️
Re lessening device usage, Just say no for an established period of time. Just say no. ❤
Happy fall Michelle! You’re so inspiring!
thank you so much! 💛
Michelle your vlogs makes me so calm and peaceful, Thank you so so so much for making such a wonderful beautiful vlogs for us and I will always be your supportive🥹💫💗
How to make banana pancakes as i m a new mom...wants an easy recipee
I have been feeling so convicted about my phone around my son lately. This was very encouraging 💕
Good morning, Michelle.
I've been enjoying so much your videos, thank you💗 Wish you the best.

Brazilian soundtrack ;) great songs
This is a great video, Michelle! As a mom to a 1 year old, your content is very relevant to me and I really relate to your topics you want to improve in life.
so happy to hear that, thanks for watching Rachel!
Love the video topic, Michelle! Looking forward to watching. :)
hope you enjoy!
This came at a perfect time and is the perfect inspiration for making lifestyle changes 🤍
About doing good habits, does that include eating homecooked meals more and eating out less?
Morning Michelle how are you happy Wednesday morning to you and I enjoy your channel and you are amazing supporter
Love these types of videos. Pleas do more like this and let us know how you get on and whether you stuck to them ❤
Also if you find any tips for using phone. I try and check Instagram 3 times a day and limit how long for. Delete the app and the download again. Put on downtime on iPhone. But I struggle too ❤
definitely will keep you updated!
Michelle, I’ve watched your videos since your pre college days and when you moved to NY I would often see you and Aidan studying at this coffee shop on UES ( but was too scared to say hello 😅)
And I just wanted to express just how grateful I am to you and your channel, I’ve definitely grown up watching your videos and learning from them. Still listen to your podcast as I am navigating my 20s myself ❤ have a great week!!
wait, this is so sweet 🥹 I wish you would’ve said hi! such special days, thank you for sticking around for so long ❤️
Girl, we are in the same 'lifestyle glow up' season! Love your videos!
love it, love it 🌞
💛💛💛💛💛
Michelle, please be careful with your jogs so early/dark in the morning.
Michelle kamu suka melakukan olahraga lari pagi bersama siapa aja kalo aku boleh tau love from Indonesia 🇮🇩
I compare myself with influencers on social media in terms of fashion!😫😭
