  • Thousand Trails RV camping may be had with easy access to Topsail Island, North Carolina. Melody and I spent a week at TopSail Sound RV Park, a Trails Collection affiliated RV camping destination under the Thousand Trails umbrella. In addition, a short drive away is another Thousand Trails affiliated RV camping destination, the Harbor Point RV Community. Both these Thousand Trails affiliated RV camping destinations offer easy access to Topsail Island and the spectacular beaches there. In this video, we provide a walking tour of Topsail Island RV Resort and we also give you a sampling of the Harbor Point RV Community, which was our favorite. We also show you why Topsail Island makes a great excursion from either of these wonderful Thousand Trails affiliated RV camping opportunities.

We own a place on north topsail beach, you would’ve passed it on your way to the public access beach area. We love it there, one of our favorite places in the world! Always enjoy your videos and you’ve helped me locate more than my share of remote national forest campsites so thanks!!

We can never get enough of Milo playing ball❤. We had this park on our radar when we were planning an east coast trip.
    Thanks for the share.

Great video. Nice campgrounds. I liked Topsail because it is laid back.

Hey guys! Wow, I agree, these places look like great places to stay. Looks like you had an amazing time. Always get a laugh seeing Milo enjoying his time. The beach looked fabulous! I can understand why Melody sat back at the snack bar...sometimes sand bothers me too, but to the most part, I love it. lol This was a very fun video to watch!! The Pelican was so cool! You had a nice site. Aww, and Milo is always glad when you get back to the camper! As always, great video !!! Lou, did you go back and do some fishing?! Take care vicky

Those are Fiddler Crabs. You can tell by their one claw being huge in comparison to the other.

I'm considering getting Thousand Trails and bouncing around the North Carolina TT and Trails Collection resorts. Do you know if any of them are only operating seasonal? Have you had any trouble booking NC sites, or heard others having problems?

Each Thousand Trails affiliated property will have opening and closing dates listed within the online reservation system. Just check the park you want to visit for this information. For example, in Pennsylvania there is only one campground open all year and that is Timothy Lake South. We will have a video publishing on this campground in the months ahead. Our favorite TT affiliated destination in North Carolina is Harbor Point RV Community (shown in this video). Book at the maximum booking window in summertime. With Thousand Trails you pay for the ability to book farther out determined by the type of membership you purchase. The Camping Pass packs a lot of value, but you'll have to be flexible and have alternative plans if trying to book at peak season. Lou

Thanks for the twofor video. We are planning on spending some time in that area in 2024. I couldn’t find the download speeds in the description, were they usable?

I am no longer providing upload and download speeds. If there is no cellular service with a particular carrier, I'll make note of it. We had no problem streaming here. Lou
