Would have been nice to have seen all the crossover rebuilt including inductors, if changing such would improve the speaker. What would you have used? Do you often use desoldering wick? Also a little more on the wiring you use would be great, not many places seem to sell single core internal wiring. And do some speakers use different gauge for different drivers?
Inductors are 99% of the time absolutely fine. They don't require replacing unless your upgrading them to air core. These were refurbished and not an upgrade
Hello! I see you use nice cables for your projects. Would you be so kind to tell me what product you are using here? I have problems to choose the cables i should use for my repair projects. For one example: I am going to change the wiring inside my receiver for new binding posts on the backside. And doing this, i want to replace the cables totally from the selector to the new Binding posts. The last time I did this, I used multiple stranded Wires with 2,5mm, but they were quite uncomfortable to solder inside the Receiver, so I searched for a solution with more convenient cables for my next Receiver. Do you think that solid cables would be a proper replacement? I think of Solid 1mm Cables... The original ones in my philips AH684 are solid wires too, but thinner, maybe 0,5mm i think...
There's a number of reasons for them. There all in shunt or across component which generally means there there to speed up discharge or pass minimal full range to the next filter stage. I experimented with this with my own studio 1 speakers. If you clip them out the sound becomes a tiny bit lazy and uncontrolled. Small difference though

I have my doubts as to whether any of those 82 ohm resistors make any practical difference....
