Unico nel suo genere, un luogo misterioso e importante per la storia Nuragica, il Pozzo di Santa Cristina è un affascinante monumento archeologico.

Came to know this site 5 years ago. The key hole is fascinating to me.

There are quite a few with that shape. Very interesting indeed.

Thanks for the video and drone footage - that well is awesome. In some churches today, there are ritual items such as baptismal basins which may be kept covered until the ceremony, and then recovered later. No reason they couldn't have done the same with the occulus. (Plus, it would have kept the youngsters from dropping sticks and stones in it!) Hard to imagine that something so precisely aligned as to catch the moon every 18+ years didn't have a purpose. It just seems too unlikely to have been coincidental.

This is part of my next holiday (yet to plan it) along with Malta and its Hypogeum. Going to look at your other videos now, very interesting thank you.
One thing, is the well built on a natural spring or just collect rainwater?

It’s a natural spring. Beautiful scenery up there. One of the nicest sites I’ve visited. In Malta make sure you prebook the Hypogeum online. It’s well worth a visit.

Healing wells have particular chemical properties to their water, causing the healing effect. Has anyone done an chemical analysis of the water? The water at Lourdes flows through cracks in granite and many believe that the minerals in the granite cause the electrons in the trace mineral germanium in the water to be polarised giving the "miraculous", reproducible properties.

I haven’t found any research on the minerals in the water but will look further into it. Thank you.
