Finally, thinning my direct seeded cool flowers made a little easier!
My thanks to Lisa and Layne for the information on their podcast, “Seed Talk” as to how to use the hand hoe to thin direct seeded flowers.
You can find the Japanese Hand Hoe on their website

I agree, The Gardener's Workshop is invaluable ! I have the same tool and love it! You are having better weather then we are. Just got dumped on in Western NY Zone 6B Anxious to get in my garden . I agree about grandchildren ...it's a whole differnt world out there!

Thanks for watching Nana of 6!
I saw where you guys got a lot of weather! We have had no snow here to speak of and a very mild winter. Lots of wind and some good rains but very mild. Hang in there, Spring will come for you soon!

I love Lisa Ziegler’s book on cool weather crop planting. I did it for the first time and I did Larkspur. I’m trying to compile the process on video from seed to harvest. It’s good to see you are using that method for fall planting. Great seedlings. I love my hoe as well. I have the hand held and standing one. Boy do they come in handy. I don’t have any grandchildren but my boys. keep me in prayer enough. Thanks for sharing this video.

Yes, I have that book too! I’ll have to invest in a stand up hoe too. You’ll love Larkspur, one of my favorites!
Good job on keeping your boys bathed in prayer. Father God’s Ears are open and attentive to the prayer of faith! Keep up the good work momma!

Fall sowing is a blessing for those in zones where it is applicable and the hand hoe has been a blessing too! It won’t be long now and our gardens will be bursting forth into beauty 🌸 Thanks for watching my friend 💚🌷
