Can I just say your make up is fabulous, so glam 😁👌🏼
Thanks for encouragement to make my daughter a slip dress. I have now ordered fabric from Rainbow fabrics. Thanks for discount code.
I recently bought from Orya which I found after another of your videos. This was a fun video.
looking forward to seeing your makes, I made the Sicily dress but got the size wrong and it was a bit tight on the bust, I dont have a large bust but somehow got the size wrong, I am not a huge fan of a cowl neck either so decided to have a go at the Sadie Slip Dress, it was a lovely fit and very easy make, so I think I will stick to that one, it is similar to the Saltwater.
Have you finished these yet? I can't wait to hear your results as I made the sicily slip dress as a top, and I love it! The cowl neck is very flattering!
I so wan’t to go to The UK and crash Rainbow Fabrics. I am in the Philadelphia (USA) area so it is too expensive to ship the fabric. Love the dealing dresses idea.
💖
looking forward to seeing all the slip dresses
Arrghhh. Can’t wait to see you in both of these. Love both fabrics!
Great vid! Sam is awesome at editing too- love the new style 😊 looking forward to seeing your dresses x
Looking forward to seeing your makes at end of February 😊
Hi Tamblyn, I made the Tessuti slip dress which is a bias cut dress and I was a bit worried about if it would suit me with my mum tum but was pleasantly surprised. I made mine in a med weight linen which gave it enough structure but still had nice drape. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the Sicely dress as the cowl will give you a “bust” with the drape. My next slip dress will be a more simple one like the Saltwater slip dress. It’s hot here in Australia so it’s all I want to wear. Look forward to the reveal. 👍🏻
I've made the Sicily Slip Dress (twice) and feel very sexy wearing it. I have a small bust (34") and wider hips (39") and I too was really worried this style wouldn't suit me. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The bias cut and cowl neck really help to accentuate the best parts of your figure. The bonus is being small busted I didn't have to worry about a bra :-) I can't wait to see your makes. Happy sewing!
Love that green fabric, deffo think that’ll make a perfect Saltwater slip dress and will suit you perfectly. I made one in a gingham cotton and it turned out great, but would love to make one in a more drapey fabric. Thanks so much for the discount codes 😁
With so many patterns out there, it can be hard to choose which one is right for you. I can’t wait to see the results!
The Sicily is going to look absolutely gorgeous in that fabric! My daughter has asked me to make her a slip dress and I think you’ve inspired me to make the Sicily for her. Cannot wait to see your dresses!
My 1st For Fabrics fabric arrived today. It had been packed by you!
Really looking forward to seeing the results!
It will be great to see the results.
Love the blouse fabric and goes well with the lippy and earrings.
Looking forward to seeing your finished slip dresses. Speaking as a curvy (now very) person, I always avoided bias dresses and skirts in my trendier younger years when they were very fashionable because rather than skimming the curves they pulled out of shape. I think you will find it a better fit.
Good to see you here so frequently of late. I'm on a ' sew my stash' mission at the mo. Two tops made this week, one more, a hoodie and 2 cardigans cut ready
Thanks for the discount code Tamlyn. Looking forward to seeing the results of your collaboration.
Wonderful blog Tamlyn, im with you about the Friday Pattern Company dress, but I can’t put my finger exactly why. Can see your style idea working with it, but not with the second. X
Never really considered making slip dresses so really looking forward to see how these turn out and what you and Jess think. A great collab! ☺️❤️
I love these fabrics and I can’t wait to see them both at the end of the month! 😍
Hi Tamlyn looking forward to seeing your slip dresses love the material, I made my 1st purchase from Rainbow fabrics and couldn’t believe the value for money will definitely be using them in future. Love the top you are wearing you really suit the colour. X
I’ve made the saltwater 4 times but not tried the Sicily slip due to sizing. Looking forward to seeing both versions, I think you might be pleasantly surprised with the Sicily x
What a lovely idea! I’ve just finished a saltwater slip, I’ve made it as chemise but it is a fabulous pattern I love how it’s come together! I’ll be making a dress version next time. Can’t wait to see your finished dresses 😊
Doh! I just went and put in an order for three fabrics from Rainbow Fabrics earlier today. Wish I’d waited until this evening after seeing your vlog!
An update...I emailed Rainbow Fabrics and they've refunded me the 20%. Isn't that great!
Lovely idea Tamlyn. Look forward to seeing all four dresses. I also love the cotton poplin fabric you have on. I couldn’t make the discount code for that shop work. Anyone else tried?
The one for Orya textiles? I’ll message them and check for you
Just love the mauve constellation fabric and the second pattern! Is that Chester and Ziggy I hear having a little scrap in the background?☺
🇨🇦😃
I would love you to show us your makes standing up. I can’t see anything.
I’ll show full views of the make in my February makes video. Once I’ve got the camera set up with the correct settings, I tend not to move so as not to mess them up 😂 x
