Once again a BIG thank you to Si and the team for a fab day out . Great to see kids and new comers enjoying the detecting. Let’s do it again soon. Cheers all. 😊
I remember the C Scope back in the day..I would love to go metal detecting again but it’s not that easy in a wheelchair..Everyone looked like they had a fab day, It was so generous of you, bless you x
Si, that was great that you did that for all those people. What a way to get people into the hobby of metal detecting. The smiles on everyone's faces where excellent and when you gave away detectors to those people, it was priceless. I thought that older man was going to cry, he was so happy!
Now this is going be fun! My dad use to take us metal detecting. I wish you the best my friend. You’re my fave on RUclips.!!! Much love and respect from Oregon🌲🙏🏼👍🏻💪🏼🥰
This was spectacular. So wonderful to see so many people out and enjoying the beautiful day getting some 'luck in the muck'. You are a generous, kind person Si. Keep it up. I love watching from Canada.
Oh my gosh, Si. It looks like you all had a great day! Wish I could have been there. You are so kind giving so many people a lovely day and giving some of the detectors to others. I thought the one guy was going to get a bit emotional. Thanks for sharing this glorious day with the fans who could not make it. I love how many kids came and had fun. I wish more parents here in the US would get their children involved in wholesome outdoor fun and get them away from the phone, computer and gaming station screens now and then. Green with envy, 💚, but also filled with love for all the special moments you made. Can't wait to see the lamp made from one of those old detectors. 😊
I enjoy all your mudventures but I really found this video to be especially joyful, knowing how *I* would feel if I could be there with you all. What a great thing to do Si. Fun for young and old and everyone in between!!!
Si what a lovely day at the beach. You really made it fun for all the children. You Sir are a treasure. Looking forward to your next adventure on the Thames foreshore. Blessings sent from across the pond. ❤️🙏❤️
This was really a very nice event, Simon, and a great thing to do for the kids as well as the seniors. There will be a special place in heaven for you, my friend!
It was a brilliant day! Lovely to meet everyone,The weather was amazing for november Like everyone else i am hooked on detecting now 🥰Thank you so much Si for organising a meet up and fantastic to meet Sean and Nicola can we do a meet up in essex next please!🙏
All credit to you for supplying the detectors and batteries, as well as your friend for fixing those in need, and then spending the day helping and encouraging so many people. Proper generous.
Simon I smiled all they way through this video. You are very kind thoughtful and generous. It was so great to see so many people participate As well as everyone so pleased with their finds.
What a fun, generous idea! I'm an amateur astronomer, and I've donated telescopes, both old ones I've fixed up and some made by me, to give away as attractions to public viewing events. It's a great feeling to see the excitement in people's eyes when they get something to take home to use again and again. Well done, Si! And I think the next time you do an event like this, it should be along the Mississippi River near La Crosse, Wisconsin. To be serious, though, I would love to try detecting, but could never afford a new machine. I'd be grateful if you, or anyone here in the comments, could recommend an old, used machine to look for. You showed here that they work, but some must be better, and more rugged, than others. Or maybe someone knows of a good video or RUclipsr to watch for a history/guide to detecting. I'd be fascinated to watch that, even if I don't end up ever getting one. I'll go looking online myself for this, but I don't know enough to know if what I find on my own will be reliable. This really was great fun!😄
Thank you Simon for organising this event I had a great time even though I had no idea what I was doing still found some treasure😀. Thank also to Sean for getting those machines working for us to use. 🤞🏻 next one is Essex way.
Simon you are such a kind and generous person. You had this wonderful event for people you have never met before. Their smiles and your smile says it all. They had so much joy this day and to see the children out there made my day. Thanks to you they will be doing this again and again. Have a fantastic week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
What an awesome event. Good job sucking in the newbies. 😊 I hope you are still doing this in about 3 years when I've moved over there so I can meet up with you, Nicola, Sean, Monica, etc!
Simon you are the best. What a great day, such fun and community. The joy you brought 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤. Thanks for sharing. I would have loved to have been there. Just 3093 nautical miles away, 😟🤣😉 Will be watching next time!
It's inspiring to see one man's actions lead to so many happy people spending the day together. Some people would have scrapped those older detectors but you found a way to get others interested in the hobby plus gave some away so these people can get better at searching for lost history without spending a lot up front cheers to you for being generous!!!Thanks for bringing us on this adventure Karl from eastern Canada
This was such a great idea! Ill bet a few of your invitees may have found a new hobby they otherwise might not have tried. Even if they did not find anything of interest to them, they were out with other people who did, so the possibilities were evident. It adds some excitement to a nice healthy walk outdoors and you can’t have to much of that.
Simon do you take on artifact 'fix jobs'? I dug a very cool old copper canoe on waves like paperweight thing. The canoe has some holes, can we work a deal to have you fix my canoe piece? Heck you could also make a video of doing it mate! Want to help?? Thanks, Tom Shively
I reckon most people would think buying all those detectors wasnt worth doing, but you had the brilliant idea of a rally.....Great video and lots of happy people catching the detecting bug.
Yea, Dr. Sean is a good friend. I had to look up Pevensey Bay to see where you were. Down south of London , cool. What a great way to promote your favorite past time. You are a good person Si. Hello from Oklahoma, again.
The place where the war people come back to rest and chill was lovely what a superb bit of history luck they made it back when so many of them did not my great grans son was only 22 and never made it back ..
That was wonderful to see! You’ve started a lot of people on a new hobby of a lifetime! Not to mention proving it doesn’t have to be expensive to do the job! Good on ya mate!
This is my new favourite of your vids.. thanks to you and the "ace mechanic" You made all those people happy. brilliant. . and as a youtube vid it ticked all the boxes. Suspense, happy people ,tech data, cats. and Nicola white as eye candy. Well done you for thinking of the event and making it happen You did a"Good Thing"

Aaw Simon what a lovely bloke you are. I always loved your videos. This was special. Well done for making so many folk happy. John was a great chap l enjoyed the videos you made with him. Take care .......Alioban
I love your videos and watch every week, but absolutely horrified to see you filming yourself and taking to a camera whilst driving.. totally irresponsible
Hi what a great event on the beach! Loved the video !! I live in Malaga , Spain. Going to be in Norfolk over Xmas holidays. Any chance of meeting up to get one of those vintage metal detectors ? Adios amigo
Amazing idea Si! I would have loved to go but a bit too far for me, maybe next time it will be closwr and I can join you. Looked like such fun and on such a beautiful day too. Well done 👏
I own one Fisher 1280X, one Fisher CZ7-a pro, both from the 90s. They do the job. I have a friend who uses a Fisher 1266x, another one a C-Scope CS4PI. White's, Viking, Tesoro and C-Scope are good machines. All the rest.... Not so sure, but hey, luck can thwart technical weakness. Your initiative and the gathering was really nice. Wish I were there. I'd have taken the Arado, in memory of the Arado Ar 234 Blitz, first jet-powered airplane to fly.
CONGRATULATIONS on a fantastic and successful day Si❤ What a great idea! You've just got to look at the joy on everyone's face. You've made some happy memories for all of those people. So generous to give away some of the detectors too! Truly inspirational ❤

What a great day to honor the Great Mudlarker John Webb!! I remember those videos of him showing you some of his collections. Looked like a simply fabulous day, wish I lived a tad closer to attend. ❤ And you were so amazingly generous with it all! Even before I started watching your videos I've wanted a metal detector. I mean, I live near both Jupiter Creek, and Chapell Hill - two of three declared prospectng areas here in South Australia open to the public. We don't have a lot of really old man made metal items to detect (mostly mid 20th century farm rubbish), so I'll have to settle for either of those gold fields. 🤣
⭐️Enjoyed this? Then see the epic relics I find on the Thames foreshore! ruclips.net/video/cpK4GTfqjT0/видео.html ⭐️
