Pryor didn’t pull the jury. He wants out. He’s on a public payment. Guess his reputation is flawed by now. But he did his best. I don’t think I would have him as a defense lawyer ever. Chad should have chosen public defense from the start. Remember Mark Means lol

I disliked him Very Much, but wholeheartedly agree-- Prior put up a dogged fight with every possible scrap of 'evidence', likely preventing an appeal. I Only had slim doubts about the evidence for Tammy's murder, but I can see here the Jury was plenty Confident.

I have followed this case since Nate Eaton was pursuing Chad and Lori in Kauai, asking “Where are the kids?” I grew up Mormon, so I am drawn to the many cases in recent years that come from the craziness of fundamentalist Mormons. Not surprised by the verdict, although you never know for sure with a jury. I think Idaho can be very proud of the law enforcement officers who worked this case, court personnel, prosecutors. And God bless Judge Boyce- in my opinion he is excellent. Finally, I think that a lot of people have fallen a little bit in love with JJ’s PawPaw, Larry Woodcock. Every child should have people who are so willing to fight for them as Kay and Larry. And it seems quite a few have fallen for Lt. Ray Hermosillo as well.

@@AF-ep5dfWell if it makes you feel any better, there is a long long stretch of road between here, and an execution date. It will take years, and years to exhaust all appeals. By then Utah may well have outlawed the death penalty. It's also possible he might well die in prison before a date is ever set. I personally feel like we should at least have a higher standard of proof if we are going to look at the death penalty. I think you should have to be absolutely positive the defendant committed the crime. This case would fit right into those parameters. I don't know. I feel like he chose to murder. He chose to murder in a state where there is a death penalty. Your feelings are valid. I think most of us struggle with it, most of the time. This isn't a case where I struggle with it, tho. They lost their mother and now their dad could be facing execution.
Tons if loved ones from convicted murderers don't want to believe that someone they love could have done that, no matter the evidence... that is pretty normal and even if they had suspicions.. I still wouldn't blame them to do whatever it takes to increase the chance that their dad will not be murdered by the state.
If Chad is sentenced to prison instead of death the time might come when they are ready to accept what he did..
If he is sentenced to death the fear and horror will keep his kids from seeing the reality about their father.

The fact that Charles, and Brandon have not received Justice, does not negate the justice served for Tammy Tylee, and JJ. I hope that Larry, Kay, Colby and the friends and family that loved Tylee, JJ and Tammy, can rest a little easier. I hope that someday Justice can be had for all those hurt by Chad and Lori. This is still a really good day. It's definitely possible to feel many ways at once. I am still sad that there are still people out there that haven't received Justice. I am also very glad to know that Chad and Lori will never be allowed back in the world. Most things in life bring us half joys. If you spend all your time focused on the half where you lost while ignoring the gain because it is not perfect 🤷‍♀️

Complete justice is impossible….. the families will not get their loved ones back. Larry and Kay sounded the alarm and can now rest knowing they did everything they possibly could in this case. The fact Chad was so fickle with his beliefs and threw Lori under the bus, then lied to his children and put them through this …. Narcissistic! Makes me think he didn’t buy/believe the Koolaid he was spewing.

@@asdf7711 No, but i assume he didn’t because of family pressure. If Emma didn’t want an autopsy, can u imagine the fit she would have thrown if he wanted to cremate her? Just my opinion but listening to Emma, bless her heart, say she doesn’t think ANYONE should ever have an autopsy is so naive. But if he would have cremated Tammy he very well would have gotten away with her murder in my opinion.

I extend guilt to the LDS Church in a way that fostered this sort of crazy thinking of Mr. Daybell. If the case were somewhat similar and the accused was part of any other church, I would have thought the same with regards to those organizations too. It’s a mentality that got fostered over many years with zealous conviction and it could have happened from the teachings of other churches too.

As a member of the LDS church, I don’t relate to any of this insanity. Everything that was brought up in court is just as foreign to me as it is to you and completely counter to our theology. There really is no connection. It’s not mainstream, or even fundamental. It’s the gospel according to Chad and it’s as twisted as it gets.

@@EricaPorter-qk8tp I agree. I was raised LDS too and have family that are still members. None of it corresponds to LDS teachings and it was frustrating to hear that constantly mis-stated. The church even says you shouldn’t join any secret society or clubs because it’s open to manipulation. What this group were doing with these beliefs was not in keeping with LDS practices.
I have many problems and disagreements with any organised religion but I also dislike untrue assumptions. Fanatics in any faith are dangerous

@@EricaPorter-qk8tp Precisely, but instead of thinking there is only 1 prophet at a time who speaks for the entire church, this guy, and others like him (i.e. Tim Ballard, Jonathan Neville, those who think they have direct revelation that affects all people allegedly) are not that different from the occasional LDS member in so many wards who have rather odd ideas (i.e. Adam-God theory, righteous people have white skin, loathful people have dark skin, blood-atonement, women must be obedient to their husbands while their husbands have direct relationships with God) really do believe their individual versions of LDS teachings.

I saw on a news report that Chad was offered a plea, but he rejected it because it required that he plead guilty to murdering Tammy. He said he didn’t kill Tammy so he wouldn’t confess to killing her. Any normal person (in my opinion) would have taken a plea to avoid having his cringey “James and Elena story (Loinfire 🔥) read to the world. Or the cringeworthy texts, like “Grab me by the storm…” My husband said no, Chad is proud of all that and thinks he’s quite the stud. And from what we were able to see of his court demeanor, I think that’s true.
