this mouse is quite good, ive had it for a long time and its quite high quality, especially for how cheap it is. ive never used claw grip with it though, i use a weird palm-like grip, with which i put my middle finger on the scrollwheel, and its very comfortable to hold it like this. as you said it is indeed a bit outdated, but its pretty good anyways, i like it.
Good to know there are still folks that appreciate this. But yeah this is a pretty niche product in my opinion. But if it works for you then should be all good. Specs and build-wise, this is a great mouse so it's not so bad.
What are the differenced between those mice's sensors? Any other suggestions b/w Viper mini vs corsair harpoon vs Logitech g402 Kindly share your experience!
i have this mouse for a long time and is pretty solid, fits perfect on my hand and is very light , the most important thing for a mouse is to be perfect fit for your hand otherwise is useless
i actually recommend it because it feels so comfortable and no problems at all with this mouse the design is really good so is the dpi and side buttons id recommend this because this is a good mouse
i've had mine for years now and its amazing not a fault and i recently thought about going wireless and getting a g503 but my harpoon is just as good really
i have mine since 3 years, today the wheel was acting weird, so i cleaned with those electronics spry cleaners and now its ok, i didnt had to un-screw it even..
iCue has infinite lighting options, though. As long as you make multiple profiles and having each profile a macro to switch to the next one. Only 4 DPI modes? Wrong: by creating profiles and switching between them using macros allows you to have infinite DPI modes and even each one having their own lighting effects.
You're welcome. Yeah the harpoon's shape is not something I would call safe. G203/G102 still has a more generic shape compared to this one. Oh and Razer viper mini too if you can get one for cheap(they're super cheap here in SEA..same price as G102)
@@KonzTech Well, bought g203 for a good price today and I am happy with build quality, ergonomics, size of the mouse, everything basically. Compared to Redragon Nemeanlion 2 mouse that I had, Logitech g203 has that feeling of good quality material and I could also tell that it is more precise, better sensor for sure, though cable could be better considering the brand. Sadly cannot afford Logitech keyboard, so my Genius keyboard feels like a toy compared to this mouse hahahaha😅
Good on you. There are a lot of decent budget keyboards out there aside from the known brands like Logitech, Asus and Corsair. Royal Kludge, Akko, and Tecware keyboards are slowly taking over the budget keyboard scene
I prefer the G102 and viper mini since they have a more generic safe and better cables. Viper mini is probably hands down one of the best budget gaming mouse right now since it's super light, small, has decent enough specs and build..it also has better cables and use PTFE skates which glide way better than standard teflon
@@KonzTech Sadly viper mini is double the amount of the harpoon pro in my country, and i have heard that after a few months the g102 starts double clicking.
yeah I know the g102's plagued with double clicking issues. From my own experience having mained that mouse from time to time since last year...it's still ok. Mice tend to double click anyway regardless of brand as time passes so I don't really look into those when buying one. I focus more on the shape and weight since ultimately..it dictates my experience. Switches are fairly easy to replace too. Here in our country, there are techs that can replace your mouse switch with better quality ones like Kaihl or TTC for a cheap fee.
it double clicks contantly and corsair support can not help. they always say wait for next update. Corsair seems to not care that there mouse double clicks 80% of the time.
man i hate to say this but im from your neighboring country and mine do get rubber side grip..and it is true sometimes they made differently from other part of the world..while we at it maybe in the future you can make video about how some brand cheap out on us from asian country..
its 17.54$ here on sale but i guess that horrible cheapo wire and scroll wheel is kind of deal breaker. I bought g102 2 weeks ago for 20.8$ and when i saw this one on sale i thought well shit i should have waited. After this review i think g102 is better. Its wire feels like is not even there when moving the mouse.
True. G102 is waaay better. The Harpoon is more like a niche product..you get it for the shape. Then again...it's not a shape that I think would work for most people...
Good to hear. I'm very particular with details. Though my first few reviews were not so detailed...I managed to develop this kind of flow for most of my reviews.
i have 2, for 2 computers. On 1 computer I use for internet and stuff and therefor I use it a lot the mouse is already done. It still works but the left mouse button seems to sag. Not sure how to describe it. I put my finger on the left mouse button and you feel it go down a bit just by the weight of my finger and you hear (and feel) a click sound. But it is not the "mouse click". If I press it down then you will get the real mouse click, so the mouse still works but it is really annoying when you put your finger on the mouse button and it already goes down a bit just by the weight of your finger. I read more reports on this also with more expensive Corsair mouse/mice. So that sucks because I also own 2 Corsair keyboards and I like the RBG colors since I can match the color of the mouse with the keyboard for each computer. But i never had this with far cheaper Logitech mouse/mice. So I am reluctant to buy another 1
It was working okay but after almost a year of use the left button had issues. Tried cleaning up the mouse but with no success. I am just concerned about durability of the harpoon.
Hmmm well I guess that's the curse of OMRON switches. You either get a good one or a flop. The mouse is durable for the most part. If the switches start failing then you can DIY to replace them or you can have a tech replace the switches with better ones for a cheap fee...that is if you really like the shape and feel of the mouse. Btw, Kaihl switches are one of the best ones out there.
it depends if you want to game competitively. If yes, the Pro has better specs that may help you. But my suggestion is go with something like a viper mini since that one is much much better than the harpoon pro. But well, if you really like the shape of this mouse, by all means go for it.
I would prefer the Katar Pro since I think it has a more safer shape. Then again, ergo mice like these have a niche and can actually be good for others. I'd say if you're using claw grip and your hand size falls in the spectrum I've shown in the table then this might be a good fit.
as a minecraft gamer that has this mouse, i can guarantee the dpi button is too big and it makes me think i accidentally pressed it while in pvp (sometimes i actually did) which makes me concerned and makes me lose the fight
yeah it is big. Would've been better if it's just flush with the shell but it protrudes out so there's a good chance people will accidentally press it.

The LMB is an easy fix lol, I’ve owned mine for 4 months and have to fix it from time to time, but you just have to remove the slides, screw it open and put a little plastic pad at the bottom of the mouse button back to the middle, as it tends to slide off
