The fluidity Quayle achieves with his legato phrasing is out of this world and Miller's large interval playing with string skipping is impressive technically. It is nice to see players from this younger generation honoring the tradition of jazz guitar duos with smooth and non-distorted tones. The composition is also beautiful. I sincerely hope both players utilize these sounds more frequently in their future careers. I do not mean to disrespect anyone, but the Greg Howe-like soloing with distorted guitars over compositions that sound like backing tracks gets old real fast. A melodically strong composition like this one will certainly last much longer than those efforts.
Tolga Guven loved your summation too...I'm reeeally warming up to the tones of the P90 for jazzy contexts..smoky dark archtop tones and note choice have more appeal to me now...
Tom and Martin, you show a profound mastery of music and guitar, a modern and holistic approach to the instrument, while carrying with you the best of tradition. A minute of meditation is my reaction to this masterful piece.
Magnificent performance from both of you... outstanding phrasing, feel and tone. Keep on it Tom and Martin, your playing ability is truly at the highest level.
You could try listening to the Amazing Ted Greene. He has 2 guitars,1 person down to a tea. He was an extraordinary person who could play just about anything on the guitar. Try him, he will blow your mind.
Wonderful. Nice composition, and the two guitars really have a dialog, and seamlessly complement each other. Also the two sounds blend well together, but remain clearly distinguishable. Braviii, many compliments
I just love this song!!! I've watched/listened to it over a dozen times and it's so damn pretty and, of course, crazy impressive playing! Congrats and thank you, guys, for such a beautiful duet!
It could be many make fun of “elevator music” because it is some of the most difficult and challenging of skill levels. This video demonstrates greatness 👍🏻
This is just an amazing composition. This deserves more views. Can anyone would be kind enough to share what was the progression used here? I'm new to fusion jazz playing. Cheers!

Made my day! This life is peaceful. It was just pure music flowing like watching the water flow from a fountain on a sunny morning in a zen garden!
These two completely different tones blend so well together. Martin really makes his tone work.

impolitikful Listen to Jim Hall & Pat Metheny duo album (1999), or Bireli Lagrene & Sylvain Luc Duet, you won't be disappointed

Amazing stuff. Some Pat Metheny influence going on in that last lick with Herr Miller.
This collab is the best thing out there for me right now.

Amazing phrasing. Your jazzy style reminds me Brazilian music, like Samba and Bossa Nova
So cool, imma practise now.

Oh man, Martin Miller is pulling out the Metheny licks XD Love it, all of it! :D
FANTASTIC WONDERFUL
marvellous chaps!
It's interesting to watch how they form different shapes for the same chords. I'm assuming this is because Tom uses P4 tuning.
