I just had my frighted out, and wanted to paint the inside of the rocker panel, and new metal below the three camper ports up on the side, and what did i see? That panel brace you just welded in! Except mine was in two pieces hanging on by a thread! i just yanked it out, as i would A, need a new one, and B, have to pull all the cabinets out. Oh well, at least i got to sand and POR15 the backs of the new metal work i did probably 5 yrs ago! I love watching your work, its relatable, and something us self taught through doing guys can appreciate watching, always tips to pick up, and thats how we all learn
Thanks for watching, your making a dent in the videos ain’t ya...you won’t av any left to watch soon 😄. If I remember correctly that panel brace is unable to be purchased so I’m glad it was in good condition, otherwise it would of been a case of making one from scratch. Would of been challenging only because of the length. Maybe a reason why yours was is in two lengths, possibly replaced previously?
@@VwRosstorations Do it was rusted in half! everything was bad under the three camper outlets on the side, and that stupid house insulation didnt help matters . I still have both pieces if i ever wanted to replace it, just have to add a small section, and weld the two halves back together. But like you, I have more pressing repairs. The only difference is im driving mine, and i don't want to lay it up for long term repairs
The long panel progressing well repairs to the inner brace made a world of differnce on the outside panel a small skim coat of body filler it should be reay for paint.. Soon will be sharing video's on my new dormoblie or "Bondo Condo" Today my Birthday so my son told me to enjoy it working on my new bus project; if I do that will share some video's..If so it will be Day 1.5 maybe this weekend I will get the other half of day in and will be up to Day 2..
