Hey guys, here’s as we just passed the halfway point of 2022, I thought it would be a nice idea to look back at 50 of the most downloaded packs so far. If you watch some of my monthly texture pack videos, then you will have seen a lot of these already. But either way, I hope you enjoy the video.

As a veteran, seeing how resource packs changed over the years is so interesting. Back in my days, texture packs mainly overhauled the whole game, most of them aiming for hyper-realistic textures (ignoring the fact it made the game look cursed) or overly cartoony. The amount of medieval-style packs back then was insane.
Now, graphic overhauls are a rare sight, with resource packs mostly just changing parts of the game or even adding textures thanks to NBT data.
There defo still are total overhauls. One of my favorites is Patrix

In my opinion "better vanilla building" texture pack is great and I think its one of the best texture pack ever
Yes no other pack come close when it comes to connected textures and custom models
Only problem is that it needs optifine for things like biome specific leaves, connected textures, and all the tools and armor sets. But once optifine is ported to 1.19, it’ll be one of the best general texture packs out there.

I love how you presented the ad like you would a mod or cool datapack. Normally I don't like skipping the sponsor shoutouts in people's video, but at least you make it entertaining.

I'm glad the Grimdark textures are getting some recognition! I personally prefer it than as it feels bland seeing the vanilla armors and been using it since then lol

i love combining like 10 texture packs to get the exact look i want but it’s definitely a little annoying to sort them if i find a new one haha
and then the ordeal of updating the entire pack every time there's a game update! but it can be so worth it

one of my fav packs is called better vannila building, its a pack that completely overhalls the textures and also adds new blocks armor and weapons

these would be great as standalone mods instead of replacers, I love the idea of being able to switch my armor between normal knight mode to samurai or pirate mode, you could also add like a riot gear mode or some other armor textures.

Hey Pwrdown what mod or texture pack did you use in the 3d items mod section of the video the one that changed the hotbar selector and turned it to blue
I find the Deluxe4k resource pack quite good. It supports 1.7 to 1.18 in one file, so I don't have to change the pack if I want to play in a different version and 1.19 and 1.20 should follow. Also, the pack has really good features with Optifine and also the shield is no longer in the second hand. Much more free screen.

By any chance can you please make a video on compatible mods that work with Ancient warfare 2 mod that'd be fantastic to know which mods work best with it.
Is there some sort of a mod that will make the armor your wearing visible on your main hand while in first person?

an awesome texture pack thats free is ''creature variety by DraminOver'' is adds 2800+ new textures for all mobs in the game. And it all looks like vanilla minecraft, textures so natural that you dont even notice. i would 100% recommend it.

Complementary Shaders! It looks better in-game. I think I need to work on my recording settings. Or RUclips is compressing it too much.

Can we take a moment to consider that 6:52 this means villagers have bones in their noses.
How do you get crops to sway in the wind? Does that come from a resource pack or is there a setting I'm not aware of?

Would love better crops if the crops didn't look like they were made of jelly. Were they supposed to bend and warp like that?
The best I can say is wow! but I cant download any of this resource packs because I use sodium and optifines optimizations doesnt works for me :(
love these, how do i get the custom texture ones like Moondrop in fabric?
you can use the Optifine installer and its EXTRACT feature to extract Optifine in its mod form.
this can be placed in your mods folder.
If you find any new datapacks pls make a video on those compatible eith 1.19
Here's a suggestion . They need to add locks and keys. If any door even and iron door has a lock no pressure plate or button or lever can open it except its key. I want to put like a yellow key that goes to a yellow lock and the same with others. And if you name a lock with its key with the same name example (key iron door) name for a key and (lock iron door) it can only open the door with that. And you have to be specific
