It's always fun to see harvesting and preserving...
Hope you start recording those!
So very proud of the both of you! What a wonderful life you have fully embraced, and it is flourishing. Excited to see what comes in the future. We love you....Grandma and Grandpa
Happy honeymoon young couple keep doing what you love
I wish I had half your ambition. You're an inspiration young man. Enjoy your well earned honeymoon.
Glad to see you. Thats a swell job on preserving fir 2 poeple.
You did awesome!!!
Looks like you’re pretty set for a long time.
Nice to see a new video. You guys have had a busy year. Hope you're having a wonderful honeymoon in Costa Rica. Safe Travels
We sure have, Thank you!! 😄
Awesome video, Zach! You will enjoy all your canning and freezing this winter. Someday you should try a freeze dryer. I freeze dry all my extra eggs and dice my onions and red & green pepper. It is so easy to cook with them already diced and in jars.
Congratulations and enjoy your honeymoon!
Hope you are having a great vacation! And what a great supply you have!
I love your pup!❤❤❤
You are doing great on your homestead. Getting your meat sources growing in secession so you are never out of meat is the hardest and most expensive part of homesteading and sustainability. I used to have a homestead and I grew up on one too. And so I have the experience. I am trying to find my new homestead that fits my tiny budget.
Enjoy your vacation! Great to have a farm sitter. Way to go Mum!
Cool idea with the pond, please keep us updated :)
My favorite homestead channel.
Your videos are my favorite I look forward to them, keep it up man
Great to hear from you guys. Have fun in Costa Rica!
We are still in the city but working toward moving back out to the country. We’ve got herbs and sweet potatoes in grow bags on a balcony but have picked up some great deals at the farmers’ market and have been able to can and freeze some produce and beef. Canning another batch of chicken broth this evening. My son is most excited about the strawberry rhubarb jam we waterbathed last weekend.
The homestead looks amazing! Glad that each year is getting better and more productive.
Great video! You need to put a layer of cardboard or something between to stacking of your jars. Sitting a 2nd jar on top of a bottom jar can cause the bottom jar seal to possibly unseal due to weight. Great canning job!
Sounds like exciting changes going on. 😊
Your husband Ashland is a lucky guy. It seems like you are doing very well running that homestead.
Such an inspirational couple you guys. Really do love the content, really honest and open. Keep going, make content when you can, we’ll be waiting 😂. Hope the honeymoon was fantastic 🎉
I am so happy for you and Ashlyn. I have been busy stocking my pantry and freezers as well as stocking dry goods such as flour, oats, rice, dry beans, spices and such. Getting prepared for whatever happens.
As always you guys have been so busy but accomplished alot nice stock of the pantry & freezers I’ve always liked keeping a stocked pantry and this time of year is when ya accomplish that but have a great & safe trip to Costa Rica you guys so deserve it❤
Nice harvest
That is really awesome 👌🏻 great stockpile of foods there
Amazing job after just a couple of years! Great work and keep going. Have a wonderful honeymoon!
Seriously, I was just telling my daughter, I don’t think there is anything these two can’t do. In today’s day, these two could be 💯 self sufficient should our country experience a food shortage. It truly is amazing how successful they are in just 2 years. So impressive.
Great job for your second year! You should be very proud of yourselves. Enjoy your honeymoon!
I'm happy to see a new video. Can't wait to see you guys on a regular basis. Have a great time in Costa Rica. It would be fun to see mama farming blooper videos if she is not an actual farmer.
Tamworth pigs are what I plan to have. They will definitely forage for food.
You’ve accomplished a lot all things considered. What an amazing year you’re having!
I love that your shirt is from Washington state
Actually it’s natural bridge KY
CANNING TIP: KEE 3:28 P JARS IN BOX AND PUT CARDBOARD BETWEEN . PUTTING JARS ON. TOP OF EACH OTHER "CAN"BREAK THE SEAL
Lots of food preserved. Have a great honeymoon
Hope u take lots of pictures
Hello I’m a 12 year old boy and my dream is to have land and cattle and trucks tractors and barns and stuff like that but I have something to tell
You should buy a Hereford bull in the future because they are such good beefy boys to but have fun on the honey moon 🌕 😊
In your climate, two plantings are standard. But not this year, anyway! Have a great time in Costa Rica!
Amazon sell metal cabinets or shelves or if you have lowes or home depot are great for jars, or look just take that pantry apart build sleeves redesign it
Whow! You guys have done remarkable job in just a couple of years. I am so proud of you. Get some fun in the sun on your vacation, and looking forward to seeing in some new videos later on. Wishing you as always the very best.❤
Enjoy your very well deserved vacation. What an incredible blessing you both are and have. My beautiful daughter graduated HS, starts college Monday after next. She has goals of becoming a Dr. however, her true passion and dream is to own a farm and be a wife and mom. It boils down to God’s Will. Your parents must be so proud of you two. God bless and congratulations.
Tip you need to put card road on thin plywood in between jar it with cause seals to break on top of each other like that.
I was thinking the same thing. Too much work and goid food to lose it. Plus it makes the jars more stable and can prevent falling jars.
You could freeze your eggs singularly in muffin tins then store them in bags! Then just use as you need.
Hard working ambitious couple.😊
Great job woow 👏👏👍
Safe travels
Hi there, new to your channel. Your homestead looks great! I am still working on canning and harvesting for my pantry as well.
Have a great day 😊
Love the new front porch man would have been great to see it go up!
amazing stuff guys !
You two have done a great job.
I hope you had a great trip.
Congratulations to you both have a wonderful trip !!! the farm and animals look AMAZING !!
Don't worry about us, we all can wait for videos😂
Your pantry is absolutely gorgeous to look at, not too mention your freezers!
You might wanna look into getting a Freeze Dryer to help preserve food like Living Traditions Homestead has, it would be nice if you can justify the cost of the freeze dryer, anyway, have a wonderful honeymoon, make sure you dodge any hurricanes while you're there!!😂😂❤❤
Thank you for showing the Oink Oinks, which is my favorite part, and it is great to see how how your farm is coming along. May God bless and guide you. Russ from Arizona.
@russse2793 hey Russ! I'm in AZ too.
You have accomplished alot this year...you will really enjoy this fresh food this winter....
Hey not sure if you know this but when potatoes go bad they produce a toxic gas called solanine, which is deadly. I am not sure how and what should be done to prevent this(especially since you've stored so many in your home) but just informing you in case you don't know and haven't stored your potatoes with that in mind.
I have been away the whole summer in Southeast Asia with my grandson, so I didn’t do any canning yet except for some rhubarb ginger jam and dehydrated herbs for the year. I did plant some veggies before I left so I will process whatever I get. I guess it’s the farmers market for the rest. I miss my little homestead and can’t wait to get home to break out the canning stuff. Have a great trip ❤❤
You have less stress, I believe. Have a safe trip in Costa Rica 🇨🇷❤🌏🏖✈️🐂🐖🐔🐓🐣😎💓😇☝️more videos in September, I bet
You guys did great! Enjoy your Honeymoon!💗🥂💗🥂💗
While living off grid in a motorhome and only a 100 watt solar system so far, I have no fridge or freezer. I'm a single, 63 yr old one armed (working) female I still want to have a bit of a pantry in my tiny space. So, I converted my coat closet to a pantry. I've pressure canned about 8 flats (12 jars) of beef, chicken, and pork. I also have green beans and asparagus. I'm not suppose to plant on this rented ground, so no gardens.
I've also stocked up on rice, dry beans, baking soda, corn starch, boullion cubes, pastas, bisquick, sark cocoa powder, powdered drink mixes, soups that I use as an ingredient in recipes. I have vinegars, and honey, maple syrup, coconut oil. I have and can make tortillas, flour, sugar and other staples.
Besides this I do have back ups from THRIVE LIFE freeze dried foods like tomato powder, egg powder ( which is great), sausage crumbles, strawberries, sour cream, and butter powder, I have green beans, carrots, broccoli, and corn.
I'm still working on getting things like wheat (berries) and heavy cream powder and powdered yeast.
I am setting up rain catchment and a natural filter above my outdoor sink and prep area. And I want to enlarge my solar system so I can have a freezer at least, maybe a fridge although I really don't miss it too much. It all takes time & money. I am on a very tiny income and of course building and purchases are slow in coming together. But it will be done in the next month or two.
Have a wonderful honeymoon! ❤ good to see you again, you’ve done a fantastic job ❤
Such a joy to be able to feed your family. Watching from Ireland. Enjoy your holiday x
I'm looking forward to some sawmill videos. I hope you guys have an incredible honeymoon. Best wishes.
Have fun. Thanks for the update! I canned pickles, stored potatoes, onions, garlic. I'm wanting to do tomatoes, hate to buy a blender just for that. Maybe next year. Loved getting to see around the farm. I have been debating a different breed of pig myself. I'm excited to see how it goes for you. Have fun on the trip!!!
Sounds like you put away some good food!
Be safe Zack. I have missed your videos. Enjoy Costa Rica.
Congratulations on your marriage . I'm glad to see your both doing well, and it looks like alot of food to me.
Good video- thanks. Safe travels and enjoy your honeymoon.
Well done you Zack. Great job with your harvest.
You should not stack your canned jars! Take thin plywood with bits of 2x4 the height of your jars.
wowie you've really had a great year! so impressive... have a wonderful honeymoon!!!! ❤
You have a nice farm. I have been canning. I have 2 gardens. So I can all the vegetables we eat. I buy my meats from a ranch that raises pork and beef and he processes them too. Loved your video.❤
Finally!!!
SAFE TRAVELS! BRISKET IS $76.00 EA AT SAFEWAY HERE IN SCOTTSDALE AZ. OY! GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND MANY PRAYERS 🙏🏻 NURSE JUDI IN SCOTTSDALE AZ AND EUCHARISTIC MINISTER 🙏🏻 ❤️ ♥️ 💙
I'm sure yall know this but you can raw pack and can meat to make it shelf stable. If you raw pack a pork roast in chunks with some BBCue sauce it's great to just open up and shred and throw on buns for a quick dinner. Also you can can burger with taco spice. Saves on freezer space and basically makes a fast food meal that's healthy.
I've just started planting my Fall garden. I have brassica seedlings and direct seeded spinach, beets, peas and carrots. I never get any brassicas in Spring/summer, so trying for a Fall harvest, this year.
You should make videos of the rental too
great video thanks
Good to see you. I was wondering if you folks were OK.
Great job for your second year. Safe travels on your honeymoon.
Thx
15:07 ❤
16:35 ❤
Hey sir..
How about you make a content about the wedding.😂😂
1:18❤
I hope your mother is ready when she has to take care of the animal
because it is not something you just do with your left hand
What kind of pressure canner do you have?
I looked on your Amazon store and couldn't find it. What do you use to freeze all your produce? It is all vacuum sealed and looks like it will keep longer than ziplock bags.
We use a vacuum sealer and freezer vacuum seal bags
i hate to pop your bubble but ive found that it still stays busy even after you retire so i wouldnt count on it slowing down esp if you have kids
