The designer and homeowner are totally on the same page, it was so enjoyable to see them discuss the space and both be so excited by it. The whole space is very thoughtfully designed and I love that reading nook. My other favourite pieces were the gorgeous chair at the vanity and the bench next to the bar 😍

If you look further down in the comments you will see some comments that allude to disapproving the femininity or lack of masculine energy in her home, or just the fact that it's not a typical "family home." Which leads me to say many people just don't see this often and/or isn't what their perception of a home should look like.

I don't really appreciate this style/execution but I loved the narration by both the owner and designer. Poonam is so confident and sure of herself. I love it!
foggybottomz I think the client has a really particular style that the designer was able to understand. There is a lot of different ideas and colors, which isn’t really a very liked type of decor because of the uniqueness.
I love love every detail in this Girl Boss home. I’m so in love with the girly closet and the makeup counter and especially the wallpaper with Pink ! Please show more work of this designer she chose. I like her sensible choices and taste! Beautiful home. Enjoyed this video!

EVERYDAY SHENANIGANS most design shows dont work on downtown condos with a single woman owner. You do what you can with what you have. Also, technically more like a dressing room than a closet. Imagine getting ready to go out with your girls yall get drinks in the kitchen then hangout in the dressing room to finish your makeup and hair and etc. It works.

Love love love! I'm just such a big fan of creating different seating arrengemnts in open concept. Breakfast nook would be my favorite spot, and then cozy reading one. Just perfect.

one of my favorites
The designer seems extremely thoughtful. Eventhough the client sparse no expense to showcase her style & taste, the designer refinished the kitchen cabinetry instead of demolishing the existing kitchen & increasing the budget. There are a lot of elegant & sophisticated touches, colors & materials, but in being extra picky, the bedroom & living spaces do seem a bit washed out by the abundance of natural light coming from the windows. Perhaps a few darker toned pieces or decorative accents would have helped to visually anchor the spaces. Enough cannot be said about that entry closet! Bravo to a successful collaboration & fantastic shoe collection!

This is the quarantine content we need but do not deserve.
Everything is excellent about this house, sophisticated elegant and glamorous but I don't know if it was just me, I felt a few plants or flower would have added to the charm. 🥰"I wanted everything Pink" ... Even I feel the same and I bet many girls feel the same. But this idea of pops of pink really brings out the contrast.

Shey a very important and very busy woman. It's quite possibly she travels a lot, works long hours or both... If she's not around a lot, greenery might not work unless she has someone take care of it. Or she may not be a plant person

Because there aren't enough girlbosses around the world. When you picture an office boss, do you specifically see a female person in your mind? Common answers would be a man boss. This is why now people are feeling the need to hype girls-in-power to inspire, encourage more and more women into professional sphere of life, so that the answer to such questions becomes ambiguous, less objective. Half the population is female, why not half the (powerful) jobs.

My point, that you have completely missed, is this ridiculous hashtag. Identity hashtag campaigns are naturally cringy to most people over the age of what? 30? If you must have a campaign like this, at least call it "female boss" or "female professional" or idk, something that allows people to take you seriously and respect your professionalism. But why "girl"? Would you ever call a male professional a "#boyboss"? No because it sounds laughable. This woman is not a little girl. It cheapens her achievements if you liken her to a young little girl rather than the professional adult woman she is. I can assure you, every man in her field will roll his eyes if he reads about her being called a "girl boss". I'd rather disappear in a hole in the ground than have the title "girl boss" associated with my name. It's hard enough to break through the glass ceiling, I don't need cutesy nicknames cheapening my achievements. Nobody in the professional world takes something like this seriously, so what's the point of ridiculing a female professional by calling her a girl? Do you realise that despite the undoubtedly good intentions, cutesy infantile hashtags like this are not doing us women favours at all when it comes to inspiring the respect we deserve?

Karen Fantastic, yes, you can definitely get an “over-the-range” microwave. I have one from several years ago: the Profile series from GE, but other appliance manufacturers sell them as well.

this might not be my personal taste but the place is awesome. great planning, everything is thought out to the T and very posh. as an interior designer myself, i really loved watching them being totally in-sink and on the same page. THAT to me is the beginning and end of a great design! enjoyed watching it very much!
