I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to testify let alone be presented a 2yr old child bruised, battered and not breathing. I don't have the self control.
I'm a nurse. She is just talking too much. She's answering much more than the questions. That's a recipe for giving the defense a reason to twist words etc. The lawyer is trying to get her to say things that indicate there is evidence that what the defendants are accused of did not happen. The testimony should only be exactly what happened and what she did or observed. She would not have been doing a forensic exam after death to determine signs of choking etc. Nor would she be an expert in determining cause of death.
She did very well... the defense attorney was prepared to use anything, including a witness’s display of emotions, to get a mistrial. This nurse was a heck of lot more knowledgeable than the defense was comfortable with that was obvious 😉

The ER nurse, Julie Espinosa, says @23:39 that this was the 2nd worst case of injuries she had seen in her 23 years and got choked up. She is obviously emotional about what she saw. Corrine Mull's practice is aimed at "Sex Crimes and Other Serious Felonies" and on her acquittal page: out of 46 acquittals -- 6 are for child molestation charges (many multiple counts), 9 for rape, 9 for murder, and many other aggravated assaults, cruelty to children, etc. On her main page she lists the types of cases she specializes in: "Child Molestation, Aggravated Molestation, Rape, Other Sexual Offenses, Homicide, and Vehicular Homicide." I can't understand making a career out of defending these kinds of crimes, how do you sleep at night? I think it's extremely clear that Laila experienced HORRIFYING abuse at the hands of the Rosenbaum's and I can't even begin to imagine how they inflicted that much damage on that baby. I just really, really hope that justice prevails in this case and that the jurors are paying attention and see it all for what it is. Also wondering what kind of case defense will present and how long this will all take.
Is the defense attorney assigned to the case as a public defender? I know that attorneys are placed on a roster and each is a public defender in turn for criminal cases, and if this is the case she has no choice as to whether she represents the Rosenbaums. As for her win/loss record, I don't know the circumstances for each of those cases and more than likely at least some of her clients have been innocent. Not saying the Rosenbaums are innocent at all. As well as an excellent nurse, this witness teaches other medical professionals. She speaks with excellent grammar, explains things well, and definitely is dedicated to her profession.
My first child was just learning to kick bounce (like 10 month olds do) and she did it while my 6'1" husband was holding her on a CONCRETE drive. I literally ran into the ER and just handed her to a nurse (JUST LIKE THIS WOMAN) and then fell apart. I will FOREVER be greatful to that woman for being calm, strong, thorough, and having a bedside manner of a saint. These nurses are PURE GOLD! Some lightweight versions may be fitted with an elastic neck strap to hold them in place while freeing the user's hands for other tasks. The purpose of a stenomask is to allow a person to speak without being heard by other people, and to keep background noise away from the microphone.

The toddler bled out from a traumatic rupture of the pancreas(?) And liver. There would have been no blood to circulate. What a cruel sadistic woman to break this baby's bones and beat her to death. If there was a brief violent struggle during the Heimlich maneuver it would have been from peritonitis..blood pouring into the abdomen ...and extreme pain FROM forceful thrusts on the abdomen...and as she was dying

I love this witness! She is a superhero for Millie. Had this wonder woman of a nurse not been a good nurse I am sure Millie would have been next as a victim from the beasts of a husband and wife team of murderers. I hate this little baby had to lose her life. I believe people like the Rosenbaums should not be a burden on the taxpayers. They should be taken to a crematory shot in the head, burned, and used to make or repair the roads.
The foster parents of 2-year-old Laila Marie Daniel are on trial for allegedly killing her. Prosecutors in McDonough, Georgia are treating mother Jennifer Rosenbaum as being more responsible. She faces charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, cruelty to children in the first-degree, cruelty to children in the second-degree, and aggravated battery. This amounts to a possible life sentence. Father Joseph Rosenbaum faces murder in the second-degree, cruelty to children in the first-degree, cruelty to children in the second-degree, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery. He could face up to 30 years for the murder charge. It is heart wrenching what they did to this poor child.

when the nurse turned to look at those pictures my heart broke from the look on her face :(
Star witness. Poor lady looks like she wants to cry 😢 I’d cry if I saw that. How horrible. How could u hurt an innocent baby 😭
Yes exactly shits sad
exactly. it is so sad
@Worships Cats A belt didn't break her arm
It had to be something extremely hard to snap the bone in half
This poor nurse, she is traumatized.
This nurse is so clear about everything she is testifying to because she'll never forget that awful day. She is one strong lady. God Bless Her.
THE NURSE IS VERY SMART ,
This poor woman made me cry. You can tell by the expression on her face that she's holding it all together with a thin string, trying not to burst into tears. She's a champion and did this excruciating work to bring justice to that poor baby. I can't imagine the trauma.
This would have been Lailas birthday. Happy Birthday to you Angel in Heaven 🎂

Where is the person who did this??
Wow⭐🤔

Jennifer won't even look at the pics. She should be made to look at them the rest of her lousy life....Sorry person, who abused a child. Makes me sick ...🤮🤢
Sherrie Fults- ABSOLUTELY
You know, I sometimes wish they could wallpaper the cells of these monsters with pictures of their poor body after death. To see what they've done for the rest of their lives. However, there are some that would love that. A reminder of the kind of power they had over their victims. Despicable.

She really held it together I’m so thankful she was there she’s a super hero for speaking for her this child since this precious baby couldn’t.
Stand up nurse on the stand. She’s educated & compassionate & handles this situation very well. And yes you can tell that it is affecting her. My heart goes out to her & all nurses that have this type of ethic & compassion. I wish that I could give this woman a hug.

She's multitasking and reliving that thought process as she testifies. This baby was lucky to have her as a witness. 💜
After ten minutes you can see this is taking a toll on the nurse. She did a great job keeping composure and and documenting her findings.
My heart broke for the nurse when asked on a scale how bad was Lailas injuries. Second..... Just how bad was the first.
I can’t imagine.

Edit: A stenomask is a hand-held microphone built into a padded, sound-proof enclosure that fits over the speaker's mouth or nose and mouth. Some lightweight versions may be fitted with an elastic neck strap to hold them in place while freeing the user's hands for other tasks. The purpose of a stenomask is to allow a person to speak without being heard by other people, and to keep background noise away from the microphone.

Awesome nurse and witness for the prosecution.
Her voice and face shows how distressed she is 💔 I want to cry just listening and watching her
The quality/ demeanour of the professional witnesses in this case was excellent.

*This nurse did an excellent job testifying about an awful outcome from an act of violence committed against a helpless child.* 😔
How sad to say to stop cpr. To know that the child can not be saved.
SAVE TRUMP you are so right. One of the hardest part of my job cause then I had to tell the family.
my sister works at a hospital in texas in the children’s unit and she’s told stories of kids coming in for different reasons that couldn’t be saved and it’s the most devastating thing to hear those stories.

Thank you to all the wonderful people who work in such tragic circumstances like this. To this wonderful nurse and every other competent and caring nurse - thank you.
Infuriating hearing the defense try to discredit the witness over bruising when a lay person knows how bruising occurs and heals. Kudos to this nurse
I’d LOVE to be trained by this women. Stunning testimony. So much knowledge portrayed so well
These pediatric abuse cases are tragic beyond belief. Breaks my heart.
I just recently had a heart attack and was still alert didn't know yet. What I experienced with medical professionals was nothing short of miraculous. Great observation!
Both of my beautiful daughters are Pediatric RNs. One is back attending college at ULL for her NP license. This RN makes them so proud to be in this remarkable sisterhood. God bless you
The toddler bled out from a traumatic rupture of the pancreas(?) And liver.

Had this wonder woman of a nurse not been a good nurse I am sure Millie would have been next as a victim from the beasts of a husband and wife team of murderers. Make them repair the roads first and then do whatever you want to them
The foster parents of 2-year-old Laila Marie Daniel are on trial for allegedly killing her.
Another child dying in placed foster home
And how many kids have died and we say 'how did they not remove the kid and put her into foster care'.
