HEYA!!! Wow this one was quite a tough one to go through, mostly because that platforming is really challenging! :D

Oh my gosh!! This was such a treat to watch!!!! I can't believe people liked my silly region idea enough to play through it, and even make a video about it??? THAT'S SO AWESOME genuinely!!!!!!!! I feel like its my birthday watching this!! Anywho, every jump in this mod is in fact possible as survivor, without spears or rocks! Most of the jumps you thought were impossible could be done by wall hugging. No grapple worms were required nor intended to be used. Anywho as for my parkour skills, I'm not very good at parkour, I just loved the idea of making unnecessarily difficult jumps! I only know very basic movement tech, like some of the stuff you did in this video I had no idea you could do. Anywho so in making this region, I actually started each room with tiling, and then did the parkour around that, making creative ways to get up. This really gives the feeling of "you're not supposed to be here" which i love. One thing you can also see when you get to the 'underhang wall pipeyard' section with the parkour, is the further you go, the better the rooms get. This is because I had never done level editing before this. This was my first project. You can definitely see the difference if you compare the rooms on the left to the rooms on the right. Anywho so the broken gate in the outskirts bit wasn't supposed to connect to anything, that was just supposed to be a nice vista to make you (the player) wonder what could be next to it. Anywho you have no idea just how much this video meant to me!! The fact that someone other than me put the time into taking a proper look at the stupid thing I made, oh my gosh! It just means the world to me. Thank you thank you!! ❤❤❤❤

When I pass successfully through such challenges, I feel not a satisfaction, but anxiety. I desperately need to save my progress before it gets lost, in order to not walkthrough the section I didn’t like again.

I getcha! The anxiety gets me too sometimes, but thankfully even if I do fall my hands will have memorized what I need to do to beat the obstacle so I can usually get it again within the next couple of attempts :)

You can cross farm arrays as rivulet. It's possible qith no mushrooms, deers or going into swimming rooms.

neat region. definitely what you said it is: not for the faint of heart. shame it got scrapped, but we cant force ludo to finish it. at least not ethicaly.
also damn that threat theme. the way it sounds creepy at low threat and glitchy at high threat honestly almost feels like a creepypasta region's threat theme. fitting for something forever unfinished, i suppose.

Path of pain 2: Slugcat boogaloo
I have mixed feelings on difficulty, because instead of feeling accomplished, I tend to worry that I'm about to waste that accomplishment by making a mistake in the next 30 seconds. A challenge isn't what brings me to Rain World. I'm much more interested in the lore, world building, and exploration. Something too hard keeps me from being able to enjoy those aspects, and I'll fully admit, I am very bad at this game. That said, I think the game would lose a lot of character if made easy, and would lose the point of it being a world not made for the player.
That's an interesting point, we can have difficult sections if they are accompanied by good checkpoint placement, but do you feel that the length between checkpoints influences the difficulty a ton?
Yeah Rain world has a lot to offer even without considering the gameplay, it's a good thing it has so many accessibility options and mods :D
I think in my case I enjoy a really challenging platforming section, but I do prefer when it's near a checkpoint so I don't have to make a huge expedition to get another try, Celeste nails this which I really enjoy!

I haven't beaten farewell, even, but I do enjoy beginner or intermediate level custom maps :D

this is smth I shouldve asked a WHILE ago- but are you using a mod to 'stick' to walls? like as in not slowly sliding down them?
Simplified Moveset has that as an option :)
I keep it enabled since it does make wall jumping nicer and it gives you more time to decide where to jump to.
(Plus it helps me with my faulty hand articulations)

Not quite! I did make some vanilla oriented videos showing off some feats (Like crossing underhang with no grappleworms, or climbing the Subterranean pit) but never a playthrough, I wasn't actually a "RUclipsr" yet when I was playing Downpour for the first time so I didn't record anything :p

So this is absolutely an Iterator can, but who's? Since the mod was canceled, my guess might be Chasing Wind, and it was canceled when another Chasing Wind mod was released.
Perhaps it could be reused for a different Iterator?
