Not certain how I found this, but thank you. Was there a second part? I was eager to hear about DFW and how he came to teach at Illinois State University. I was a theatre major there for only two semesters in 92-93 before dropping out. By my reckoning it would've been the same time he taught there (not that we ever crossed paths, but it makes for an interesting footnote in my own story) Might I trouble you at least to share a link to the source you were reading before the video concluded? I first read that as “…sweetest genius…”. Since it isn’t, I’ll add it. Sweetest genius. I never realized his headband might have a practical purpose i.e. sweat.
