I see you are using black silicone. Is there a reason or just preference? Why not clear? Not knocking you or your process, just wondering if there is a reason for black instead of clear...... I just purchased a 125 with stand in great condition for $50, tank leaks somewhere and I am about to reseal it completely for my own peace of mind. Thanks for the video, I've had plenty of jobs and projects working with various types of caulk, silicone, rtv, sikaflex, etc. so I am confident this will be an easy job. Where are you located? I have a 55 gallon horizontal and a 55 gallon vertical both need to be resealed and the newest horizontal take I am have issues with getting to reseal because this is my first time doing this ever, wondering if you take clients for resealing because if so I’d be very interested in seeing how much something like that would take to get done
Not sure why you didn't cut the adhesive silicone tip higher and caulk it in one pass. No big deal, as you seem to have done ok. I used to be a hlazer so I guess maybe Your a little nervous. It does go easy with experience and we always just used our finger after dipping in water or just spitting n it. Did miles f silicone and rubber window gasket material. Loved the work but developed bad carpal tunnel syndrome and never quite recovered after surgery on both hands. Trust me, having a crane boom you a huge sheet of glass above traffic and people and you !ight drop it ... time to quit for others safety.
Worked construction for over 10 years. No nervousness here. Had to dap and silicone thousands of hospital bathrooms and hotels in new construction. Aint nothing to it. Using the pvc is just so easy, i use a wet finger for bathroom dap. I build custom bathrooms too. I did it in 2 passes to make sure the actual SEAL was done completely and did a wider pass on top to make the bulk of the seal to add strength.

For example, standing on the top of slope glass as people n a shopping mall full of people walking under t is a little freaky the first day. It's just weird to stand on something you see through and worry as in ...what if this shit breaks and cuts everyone up including me.
