trying to deep diwe into IEM only to have best for buck on this form factor. and you know what? I lost do I need planars after that Quintet? I hust want to heve one single pair to listening. just like full sized headphones! you taking 600, 650, 770, 880 and bye-bye. but audiophiles doesn't give you a chance to ,ake this choise easier))

I have tanchjim kara and based on squiglink, the quintet and kara have almost similar in midrange but the quintet less midbass and more subbass. Also, the quintet has brighter treble. So almost the same but the kara has this annoying 8khz peak so I had to change to narrow boar eartips and it sounds better and more natural but the bass has increased so it feels a bit more congested. My point is, the quintet solves the problem that the kara has but not sure if I buy one.
The 8hz peak doesn't actually exist when you listen to the headphone - it's just an artifact from the coupler that people use to measure the FR graph.
@@walkerstandard2373 i tried to eq and dial down the 8khz, massive difference and the tonality and timber became more natural. Every reviewer said that too, kara has ba timber. The only effected from 8khz peak are the vocals, it sounds odd with less body and hollow.
I am really wondering how this competes vs simgot em6l. I heard that one yesterday and it's a clear step up from my letshuoer s12.

I might be a minority here. But I'm absolutely in love with the quartets. The quintets feel like an empty hype train to me.
We like what we like :) The quintets do genuinely seem a step up to me though.
No hype here. Own both, I like both. Quin is the better IEM in over all sound quality. It just is.

Hi, off-topic and sorry this has been asked like a million times but what would you recommend as a fun iem for long listening sessions for around 40USD. And i have my eyes on a meze 12 classics v2(demo unit) for that price, would be reasonable to go for that?
QKZ HBB Khan aound $40

I own a pair of khan's and they are rather disappointing (i also own the letshuoer s12 and tri x hbb kai (i love the kai!). If i had to buy a set for 45 dollar right now i would go for the EW200 from simgot

It has a tiny planar only responsible for a part of the frequency spectrum.

It is worth it to spend on s12 if I have pr2? Pr2 also takes EQ amazingly good. For $30 dollars in my country pr2 is the most insane sounding iem in it's price range

@@dhirajvishwakarma7893 Yes! I believe any planar iem takes EQ good, but to be honest I already like the stock sound of the PR2, for the price that it cost I can't complain at all, it sounds so much more expensive.
I have to say it's my first planar so that's why I'm asking if it's worth it to spend on S12, because compared to some little more expensive Dynamic Driver IEMs that I own PR2 is a steal. A powerful source is a must to drive it well enough, otherwise it sounds low and not that great 👍
I got $20 QKZ HBB and EQ the hell out of it and it blows my S12 away. Deep powerful sub bass, smooth mids and just enough highs so the vocals stand out.
S12 is great out of the box and super detail and spacious but it cannot do sub bass. That is the nature of planers.
Without Equalization, QKZ HBB not as good as S12. But for $20, can't complain. Make sure you hook it up to a DAC for power so the bass will come through.

Oneplus buds 2 pro or linkbuds s ...onolus is more like airpods but anc is only average at best. Sound Quality and comfort are great

quintet sounds hollow in the lover regions compare to the p1max and has nothing that could do better compare to the p1max.
