The ML didn't deserve a rebirth, especially since he took a coward's way out instead of living with his Karma. This ending is MUCH better than her going back after a lame apology, but still.... Some things are unforgivable. Some people aren't worthy of a "do-over."
All in all, this version is better than previous versions. The ML and the gorgeous male celebrity are both great actors and very good-looking. The supporting cast also did well.
Writers, thank you for trying to show the FL in a more positive light, instead of letting her be another stupid female abuse seeker.

Its not a confusing story like some of the comments said. They just show past without any change in the screen, so sometimes it takes a minute to understand.
Pro is that ML did try to atone and not just nake empty promises. He felt embarrassed of facing her. First time I saw ML plotting to take SFL's kidney to save the FL. It has always been the opposite 😂
Also, characters were more realistic in the sense, her friend and SFL's father knew what they were doing and supporting was wrong but still did it as they loved SFL.
Con, obviously a repetitive story. Did not understand FL's whole strategy on revenge. FL being a doormat in the beginning was so annoying.

Nice touch with your brother. It makes no sense, in Kenya, we have a saying "tenda wema nenda zako" roughly translate to do good and move on. Like don't linger for praise or anything. That's how good karma follows you. The marriage agreement after saving someone or their dad or grandma makes absolutely no sense to me.

I can understand why people didn't like the ending after all the torture Qian Rang went through but I liked it. For the fact she eventually had a happy ending in the "what if" scenario. She married the man she loved, never lost her friendships and had a happy life

The ending wasn't a rebirth, it was the ML imagining their lives differently before his death. That's why he said, "What if you had a chance to go back to the past?" THAT was his "what if" before death.

At least this was an attempt on a slightly different storyline....Recap with spoilers: ML is too dump to use protection and impregnates the FL four times and forces her to abort all those babys. Apperently the FL did never even hear about protection either or she really enjoys having abortions - who knows, she is dumb and masochistic enough to assume both. Those abortions damage her body and she dies. That is it folks, that is it. They inserted a little twist at the end, where the ML is reborn (or is he?) and head over heals in love with the FL (eyeroll)....a fitting end would have been him living on with the guilt of having killed his wife and children and not him taking his own life and getting a second chance....but oh well, at least it was different from all those other abusive husband dramas. What kept me watching was the acting. Esp. the ML actor displayed a wide range of facial expressions for emotions - well done!

Ignoring the heinous deeds of the female villain just because the artist ML and father love her just worsened her character. Toxic love never wins, everybody loses.
As for the FL, victimized again and again the plot just gets old. What a pitiful, pathetic existence!
The ending does not resolve things. The villains do not get the retribution they so much deserve. It's upsetting, to say the least.

Interesting story. He’s a ballet director. They had a great marriage but she lost 4 miscarriages. This leads to gradual organ failure. Then the green tea ballerina ex returns and all goes to hell.
Halfway thru the husband wises up that she is dying. She fakes her death. She has doctor who helps her live for about 3 extra months. (As a ballerina)
Her husband falls in love with her because he knows what he did to her and what everyone else did too. He figures out the new ballerina is her (I know, I know 🙄.) He tries to save her, and does vengeance for her but she dies. His character initiates the rebirth and it ends well.

真是乱七八糟的剧情結婚流产4次还有愛真无语
因為女主角是熊貓血，生產時需要大量的熊貓血待命，人工流產四次都是在胎兒一兩個月做，避開危險。
其實不想要孩子應該要避孕（戴套或吃避孕藥），可是也可能無法百分百避孕，又造成懷孕，其實厲總有錢可以招募有熊貓血的人來公司上班。
I would love to see a drama where the abused FL with some kind of "terminal" condition (cancer, organ failures, etc) actually dies and stays dead and the abusive POS ML has to continue living on after with the guilt of knowing he made her life worse and there's absolutely no way for him to ever have happiness again (heck, the ML being forced to stay miserably married with the villainous 2FL would be great too). You know...where people actually have to live with the consequences of their actions, rather than some dumb forgiveness or rebirth plot.
I'd like to see the ML in JAIL.

When his father was threatened the FL’s life and if he truly loved her, he would have sent her away to protect her🤔. Also it would’ve made a lot sense to tell his father that the FL didn’t have long to live and let them live out their last days together🧐
