Someone had allot of dirt on Mr.Tory, he chose to walk away instead of even starting the pushback.
Most politicians can easily survive a minor scandal like this. Unless it turns into a sexual assault case, which then would be a different story.

Make the effort to find them because Bell Media and Rogers are not interested in giving a platform to candidates who aren't hand-picked by them for their own corporate interests, not the residents of this city. So you'll have to research the candidates yourself. There are better alternatives out there that actually have the city's interest in mind.

@Liz Liz Well, for one thing, Toronto has been plagued with mental illness issues that have been spreading around through the city. This made the TTC completely unsafe recently and also with the rise in crime and homelessness. Not to mention the rapid rent increase basically making Toronto more and more unlivable for the middle class families. the city has infact gone to complete shit. You don't need proof to see Toronto is now a complete shitshow compared to 10 years ago.
Before I used to go out and I felt safe while taking the TTC or walking around downtown. Now it feels like everyone needs watch their back. It's probably not John Tory's fault but this decline was happening during his term as mayor.

Think him stepping down is ultimately a good thing for Toronto. He's presided over the massive housing crisis from beginning to today, and done nothing of rear worth to help fix the problem. The only issue is that there really wasn't a half let alone quarter decent replacement. I hope someone comes along that can really take proper measures to help fix all these massive issues. I think back to when ROGERS was having a family squabble as to who would lead in the boardroom. John Tory got in front of the cameras as he often does, and shed tears sighting his obligation to his friend Ted Rogers. The voters were robbed of a chance to replace him in a dignified fashion, he could have left four months ago. As the former Mayor did , Tory has plagued the city with scandalous repute. The facets to his infidelity will be felt long into the future. Its a permanent stain on this city. There is also another skull duggery that has taken place, that is , to drain the available campaign funds of John Tory's rivals in order for someone who has deep pockets to come out of seemingly know where, and outspend the rest of the declared field . That is also a possibility. Either way , the wake of this mess four months later, is John Tory's reckless behaviour & legacy. 0_o
